  • From Seoul, I joined a day tour to the DMZ. The fascination and prospect of looking into the very secretive and closed country of North Korea was exciting.
But also getting more knowledge about the history and tragedy about these two countries that are technically still at war against each other as no peace treaty has even been signed.
We started the tour at the Gamaksan Suspension Bridge. Next, we went to Imjingak, the last place before the military zone, before we went to the Dora Observatory and got a glimpse into North Korea.
The tour was both fascinating and sad as the War and conflict has brought so much tragedy - even to this day.
    About me 👨
My name is Alex, and in December of 2023, I quit my job, sold my apartment and all my belongings to pursuit a lifelong dream of traveling full time.
The idea of traveling solo, as a middle-aged man, is both exciting and daunting, so I decided to bring my camera, and document my experiences. Not only to share my journey but also in the hopes of showing how amazing and wonderful traveling and the world truly is. 🌍
My goal is to visit the traditional sights as well as the lesser-known places - on a budget - and do some volunteer work with animals whenever possible.
