EASY TO MAKE CROSS CUT SLED for TABLE SAW - DIY
- In this video you can watch step by step how I made a cross cut sled for my homemade table saw.
This particular type of table saw sled is very easy to make and its design is ideal in order not to lose cutting height.
Hope you enjoy the video and always remember....Rust is Gold!

I am retired person. I feel I had missed these
Good ideas. Very helpful
for everyone who are intreasted. Thanks
Dear Sir, thank you very much for your comments!! I am glad you like my creations!!
One of the simplest way thanks for sharing your knowledge
You are welcome! Thank you very much for your comments! 😊👍👍
I really liked the way you built your cross cut sled. So you better enjoy the height of the saw blade and do the same job as if you had done it the traditional way. Congratulations! Very good!
Thank you very much for your comments!! 😊👍👍
Abraço aqui do Brasil 🇧🇷
Muito obrigado pelos seus comentários! Saudações da Grécia!
I noticed you must be a magician as you had prop bix in the first video. Nice job on the saw
Feel like you could have gotten a few more screws into the runners, LOL.
2:10 Did you just drill into your drill press table?
I watch may diy videos, and admire the presents skill and willingness to share their project ideas.. the one conclusion I have come too is that the starting point is to own or have initial access to a high quality table saw , this makes every other project easier , accurate and durable
So what is your point?
Rob I just meant that a precision table saw when used for initial cutting will make anything made from it so much more accurate for other projects etc ,did not intent to find fault with your efforts.
Parabéns sensacional seu projeto...aqui do Brasil ...
Muito obrigado!! Saudações da Grécia!! 🇬🇷😊👍
I always heard the blade only needed to be 1/4 of a inch above the wood
Nice and simple way to built. But I won't ask this guy to put stain my balcony.
Simple but effective
Indeed...😊👍
Nice work sir please keep it up
Thank you very much!! 😊👍👍
really nice and easy project.. time to build my own and thanxx for inspiration... :)
Thank you very much for your comments!! I am glad you liked it!
Good video. Did you make your table saw and rip fence? I made a similar sled and put two 2"x2"s on the back of the sled where the blade comes thru and then screwed on a metal plate to let the saw blade hit in case the sled was pushed thru the 2"x2"'s. That is to protect my fingers.
Thank you very much for your comments!!! Yes I made my table saw and rip fence as well.
@UPSIPO Yeah, those blocks are useless. But I don't see the runners being stopped: Usually those slots go all the way through, so the runners may protrude at the far end as much as they need.
Cute sled... for cutting kindling. How do you know that your sled is square to the blade? You have some major dust issues and not wearing a mask? Bolt down your drill press. Safety first!
Rude. Ever hear of CONSTRUCTIVE criticism? You
are a sad individual.
@@dwlsml4118 I apologize for coming down a bit hard however this professional video is supposed to be educational, It shows more incorrect practices than correct methods. There are many more very good videos on this channel and I have even seen improved sleds on this channel. This is not one of them.
dwl sml , nothing wrong with that comment, this guy needs to learn the basics first! No riving knife either?? I personally don’t like to eat sawdust when I’m working.
@@mack2420 i tough i saw a riving knife
@@summerfox9292 You did. 1:48. It looks like it saved his life several times too. 2:00
What is the wide are the two boards to be safe for the hande
Thank you very much.. . .
Thank you, glad you liked it!
Nice work! What are the dimensions of the aluminum Π track?

That's a solid table saw fence you have there. Is there a video of how you made it? Thanks. As usual, a big Hi to Max from Snoop.
Hello friend!!
I'm sending you the link for the fence!
Take care!!!

Thank You.
Thank you for good video. Confuse about two blocks behind. Why offset from blade. What purpose?
To prevent the blade from cutting your fingers.
Claudio Di Gregorio really?
@@cp1855 You are right. Watching the video again: the blade does NOT come out between the two blocks but to the left of one. I am wondering too now...
I'm awaiting the answer too! (Rust is Gold...)
How did you make sure your sled was "square" to the blade?
I used a framing square tool
By the luck of draw. 😀
Verry good, I like that, like the table saw and rip fence also, please get rid of the music and do some talking, explain what how and why.
Muito bom demais ficou massa
It´s amazing man... Are you greek???
Thank you very much! Yes I am Greek.
AWESOME
Thank you!!
good
Thank you!! 😊👍
Very simple but I highly question the accuracy of the cut. I doubt it's 90 degrees to the blade. Do a UA-cam search on the 5 cut method, it's typically within .005 inches per foot of being square.
It's true that it is not for professional use. For the simple projects I make it works fine. 😊👍
Good
Thank you!!
👍👏
Thanks!

????????????????????????????????????????????
A little confused, you didn’t show how you squared it up to the blade? Btw, technically it’s not a sled! A table saw sled needs a bottom! Not to be picky, but no riving knife either???
It's called a sled because it has 2 runners
1:48 There is a riving knife. Good thing too, the way he leaves the pieces between the rip fence and the "kicker" side of the blade. 2:00
I'm thoroughly confused as well. How did he square it up?
Learn to speak so we can understand whar you are doing and why!
Ok, no worries... I will learn how to speak so everyone can understand my extremely detailed, but at the same time, tremendously complicated videos!! 😊👍
I agree! I hate videos with no talking.
