      Me too! I just bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator, no problems yet, but a huge 6 months problem with a Kenmore washer and drier that caused a problem in my floor and Sears takes no responsibility for anything, I used to be a Sears client and now I am sure is the worse company to but appliances, worse customer service , DON'T BUY KENMORE!!

    Boy!! Am I glad I saw this. I was going to buy a Kenmore Elite refrigerator with a middle drawer for fruit. Now, I'm not sure what to buy. I really like the design of this refrigerator, but I don't need to purchase a noisy appliance (others mentioned this), nor an appliance with constant problems.Thank you for the information.

    Same problem. One month wait so far. Sears customer support is overseas and useless.

    I think a class action lawsuit is in order. We all spent alot of money on these refrigerators that all have the same issues. My frustration level is maxed out. This is bullshit! Sorry, there's no nice word for it...

    My compressor on my 3 yr old Elite was replaced yesterday after a 2 week wait. I, of course, lost all my food. Today, I stocked up a little because it seemed as if my unit was cold.The repairman told me to put a bottle of water in the freezer and it did freeze. However, nothing else seemed very cold so I bought a ref. thermometer and found that the refrigerator is only 57 degrees and the freezer is 14 degrees. I called Sears and my nextappointment is 10 days from now!

    I am having the same problem with mine. I have been without a working refrigerator for a month. I will never buy anything at sears again. Sears SUCKS!!

    Was the extended warranty purchased at the time the item was purchased, or did you purchase the warranty after you purchased the refrigerator ?

    Our top of the line Kenmore Elite Model 795.74033.410 died almost 3 years to the day it was installed by Sears. The primary symptom was a large pool of water under the bottom drawer in the main compartment, and the root cause was a bad compressor. Research suggests the 3 year old compressor went bad most likely due to the compressor not being fully evacuated by the manufacturer prior to adding refrigerant to the system, which leaves debris in the system causing it to eventually fail prematurely. This caused my family to lose hundreds of dollars in groceries and multiple weeks without a refrigerator, which increased our costs further by having to eat out until the problem was resolved.
    Eight months later the refrigerator started to smell like something was smoldering. As the smell got stronger the ice fan stopped working, and the unit smelled like smoldering electronics. Hopefully the strong smell was not toxic. I'm currently in the process of troubleshooting the root cause, which is why I ran across this video, and have reason to suspect the root cause is a faulty motherboard. Again a manufacture's defect.
    As a life-long fan of Sears I find it very disheartening to be in this position. Yet, due to the rather unfortunate (and untimely) impact to my family and our finances, if anyone starts a class action lawsuit then count me in. The entire reason why I purchased the most expensive refrigerator was because I thought it would last 20+ years. This is completely unacceptable.

    Yes, I couldn't agree more! Ours is 6 years old and had to buy a new one today. The ice maker stopped working two years ago. Then it kept making clicking and motor type noises. Of course, it didn't do it when the repair man came so he couldn't help us. The freezer stopped working yesterday.

    We had the same problem but with another type of refrigerator from Sears " just barely yesterday we had them deliver our replacement unit from over a month of waiting for them to decide what they wanted to do and if you call customer service they don't help you and keep playing a game of who's gonna fix your problem " I cried , begged , I was so emotional and I just gave up " till the end of all the hassle Sears has to put you and your family they might want to help you " I will never never buy from Sears again ever . So I know what you had to go through :(

    Amen sister, my Kenmore Elite is 3 years old and it stopped working. I unplugged it and let it thaw out but it still won't work. God knows what's the problem. Thankfully I kept the old refrigerator in the shed. I plugged that baby in after sitting out there for 3 years and it's working just fine. That one is a 15 or 20 year old Amana refrigerator

      unplug and thawing only fixes either a defrost heater not working or the drain plug is clogged. It won't fix much else.

    We had the same problem with the ER IF code last year. Read about a fix online. Turned the unit off and defrosted the evaporator coil and worked great. Now, it is doing it again and defrosting isn't working this time.

    We bought the same refrigerator in June of 2015. The Refrigerator stopped working Oct 29. Took 9 days for Sears to come out. Diagnosis was the fan has failed. Part had to be ordered. We have now missed 4 repair appointments because the part is on backorder and they can not give me any estimate or when it will arrive. It has now been six weeks. Sears customer service told me after 1-year warranty runs out they bear no responsibility because they do not make the refrigerator, LG does. Actually told me to call LG. I did. LG said oh no, that is a Kenmore Elite, you have to call Kenmore, we make it but it is their responsibility. Refrigerator cost $2600. Lasted 15 months. Old one still in garage working thank god. Store manager actually told me refrigerators today only last 5-8 years. If I knew I was buying a throw-away product I never would have bought the elite. 30 years of buying appliances at Sears is over. Never again.

      First refrigerator was repaired several times and finally replaced with a new one. That one had problems. After repairing/replacing parts twice they finally figured out exactly what was wrong. It has worked fine ever since.

    Time to throw a little water on the critics here. I've got one of these and I've always done my own TV and appliance repair. I just fixed the same problem. I build airplanes for a living, so I know what I'm talking about when I say this problem was a little recognized design defect. The gasket that seals the icemaker fan duct inside the aft freezer closeout was mis-aligned. This allows ice to form around the duct, and eventually the ice grows enough to jam the fan. Fan stops rotating, icemaker is warm, error code pops up.
    The shape of the area that the gasket sticks to and the gasket are not shaped the same, so it's up to Kim Park on the assembly line to get it perfect.
    This issue will be worse in high humidity locations.

    I have purchased Sears products for over 30 years because of their excellent service and guarantee. Recently had a similar issue with an Elite refrigerator. Sears said it would take 3 weeks to get someone out to repair. I gave them the refrigerator error code (because it's self-diagnostic) so they knew what the problem was - they said it usually takes between $220-$350 to fix. 3 weeks later the tech showed up, looked at the error code and said it would take 5 days to get the part and another 3 weeks to schedule the repair and wanted $420 to replace the fan unit. After doing research, all that needed to happen was to defrost the refrigerator to thaw the ice build-up on the fan unit - a manufacturer's flaw. Sears used to be a company of integrity and service. They are now the opposite. Stay away from Sears and their products, and their "service department". I will never buy from Sears again.

    bought my Elite bottom freezer refrigerator on 7/18/2016. for the past couple of weeks the bottom freezer is not freezing, everything in there is soft. I went ahead and vacuumed the condenser coils. but for an expensive unit it should last more than what a little shy of two years! Called Sears, they want to come out and charge me $99 to diagnose, and give me an estimate on how much labor and parts will be. I hate that type of tactics.

    We have the same fridge and had problems 13 months after purchase. I logged over 40 hours on the phone with Sears being shuffled from one department to another. We were finally told by one person that there is a known problem with the board in high humidity areas (we live in FL). They even referenced a bulletin that went out. This is when we were told the parts department sold us the exact same board as a replacement part instead of the one for high humidity. At one point I was told it was a recall then later they denied it. I requested the call be reviewed. They finally fixed it after 2 weeks. 20 months later we woke up to the unit not running. unplugged it and plugged it back in. Sounded like it was running but it is not cooling. First appointment we could get was in 8 days! We are waiting to find out how much it will now cost. This unit needs to be recalled. An expensive piece of junk that they are well aware of the issues and plenty of documentation.

    I agree....mine has gone out an average of 3 times a year for the past six years.....and I have lost thousands of dollars of food! Never again...waiting for Sears repair usually takes a week...and then you have to wait again for the parts and the tech to come back.

    10/18/17 Sears replaced a Samsung Refrigerator w/Kenmore Elite. Purchased the Samsung last week. The replacement will be here on 10/20/17. The Samsung ice maker did not work at all. Now, I am concerned about this Refrigerator. however, Ty for the video.

    Here is my history with refrigerators when I had to start buying them first was in 1986 Frigidaire the compressor was replaced after two years and the ice maker broke after one year. In 1997 I then bought a Maytag. The compressor was replaced after 5 years then again 5 years later. Ice maker broke after a few years. Last year bought a Kenmore Elite French Door. So far no problems. This model Consumer Reports rated it very highly. Luckily I have had no problems and since I purchased the new frig and a new outside air conditioner my electric bill has been cut by 35%. I think some refrigerators are better than others. Sears uses other manufactures and are the same models as what they sell at Lowes or Home Depot but with different facings. The inner working parts are all the same. There are only a small group of appliance manufacturers both here and overseas. It's an appliance that breaks often and worse if you buy a lemon model.

    Once upon a time, long, long ago, Sears was a brand you could trust. No more. I have a 7-year-old Kenmore Elite; we spent $280 last year and now the ice maker is not working (it was always a problem!) AND a problem with the inside light: we noticed a real hot spot coming from the light fixture top front. Upon removing the light's cover we found two very hot bulbs and the plastic housing was melted and brown! Guess it just stopped going off when door was shut?? This would have definitely caused a fire!! Looking to see if others had the same experience and/or if there was a recall.

    OMG, there really needs to be a class-action lawsuit. We have lost all our food THREE TIMES! We can't get ahold of ANYONE at Kenmore. The one time we DID wait more than a half hour for someone to pick up, they said the part wasn't warrantied, even though the warranty is clearly stated on their own website. I tried to post warnings on all review websites, but all my reviews have NOT been "approved", yet I was signed up for Sears spam email. I wouldn't with Kenmore appliances on my worst enemies. Well, maybe my WORST. Please, everyone, help spread the word so others don't fall into this same trap.

    Same here since we bough this junk we have exactly the same problem (3000 investment) I guess sear doesn't longer care about costumers, I know that's the case so more likely the louse about 57,225(people looking at this video) clients plus the people I know. I normally like to share my experience in events like this. For now on NO MORE SEARS NO MORE KENMORE...

    We just ran into a similar problem with the "Er rf" code. We were told a new control panel is needed. We bought the fridge six months ago, in April 2015. We're to get that part in a couple of days, then call Sears to see if we can get a tech here sooner than Saturday, Oct. 24. I'll update this if I can.

    I have the same problems with the same Sears Kenmore elite with 5 different service calls from: ordering the wrong parts to long waiting periods for a competent technician to arrive to patching one door with a tape only to work for a few days. I was told that after 5 calls, they will replace it, but that has not happened!!!

    I understand how you feel. Not even a year and my refrigerator won’t get cold. My food spoiled, the technician came out said unplug for 48 hours and guess what “nothing”. I will never purchase appliances from Sears again

    Our 3 year old Kenmore Elite stopped cooling. Got a repair guy to come the same day and replace the compressor (under warranty) only to have it stop again 3 days later. Then told it was an internal leak and could not be repaired and we should go buy a new one because, while the compressor was under warranty, the unit was not. Our prior refrigerator lasted >10 years. Will not buy this brand again.

    OMG!!! Exactly same problems with exactly same fridge. We had a MSA with sears for 5 years and because they repaired it 4 times in under 12 month their no lemon policy kicked in. They gave us our money back to buy a new fridge. We are staying away from Kenmore from here on.

    I would never recommend anything from Sears especially tools but my brother bought an Elite and now it's freezing food in the upper back of fridge. Manufactured 2015. Model: 795.790...

      The refrigerator is cooled from the freezer level up by fans. You have to rearrange the location of the food or duct tape the air vents - what a piece of crap!

    I have also had a terrible time with Sears and an Er rF error on the fridge. Weeks go by trying to get them to fix a 2 month old fridge that has been broken for 3 weeks... and no end in site. DO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE... Such terrible run around, lies, and problems when trying to get this new fridge fixed...

    BUYER BEWARE - Experiencing same problem - on 12/22 we got same error for bad computer board. Earliest service date 1/6/16. Technican replaced the board, wake up on 1/7/16 water all over wood floor coming from the refrigerator. Now it doesn't work at all. All food in fridge rotten, all food in freezer defrosted. The next available appointment is 1/21/16, and there is no guarantee that it will be fixed at that time, they may need to order parts.

      As a tech for appliances, there is little support or vague information when it comes to error code. They are a pain in the butt, and the warranty companies don't pay much at all to repair them, so the tech will most likely choose the most obvious fix and try that. It may not work, so you have to try something else. Its all educated guesses, a little bit of info from the frig. I have a frig that I spent 10 hours on and it turned out to be a sensor was loose. Removed and replaced the old sensor and its been going good for 2 years now.

    wish i had seen this video before i bought this fridge also. My fridge is only 1 1/2 yrs. old. we declined the extended warranty because is a ripoff. paid $2000. which is alot of $ for us, only because we had already had this problem with another fridge that had same problem, and we did not want to go through that again. boy, were we wrong, this is worse because now i have had to get the sears homewarranty that is $600, $80 every time they come, and I have to wait 2 weeks, (if i'm lucky) to have them fix it. had to order parts they said. we are a family of 4, how on earth am i going to live without a fridge? i had a meltdown after the guy left and just cried, because i feel so ripped off. I miss the old days when companies cared about their customers and products were made to last (at least more than 1, 1/2 yrs)..so disapointed. please do not buy this product, you will regret it.

    I have the same refrigerator and it has failed after 1.5 years. I am currently looking up what could be wrong with the refrigerator since sears cant respond until after Christmas. I have the pro series microwave as well and it had failed two times in the 1.5 years of service as well. Stay away from Sears Kenmore PRO or Elite series anything.

    Same exact issues. The thing isn't a year and half old! One service guy had the nerve to tell me it would cost $2,000 to repair. So, Sears wants me to pay the same amount to repair as it cost me! Grrrrrr

    This is an evaporator fan or the PCB or the wiring harness in between. Just so you know, the list of people who make refrigerators for Kenmore is pretty big. I would say what you have is a LG. Having to wait for parts is normal. I do appliance repairs myself. Besides waiting on the part, you have to wait for the technician to get you in his schedule and its usually first come first serve

    I agree!! Thankfully, mine has lasted 6 years, but now the compressor is blown. Already paid $70 for third party appliance repair company to diagnose and tell me it is still under warranty (10 year warranty for compressor REPAIR). Was on hold for over 40 minutes to speak to someone at Sears. Had to call back and lie and say "no" to under warranty question to actually get an agent. Was then told that Compressor was covered under, but that install was not. I asked to have compressor shipped to me so I could have another company install. Was told this is not possible unless I wait 10 days for next available appointment and pay the $125 diagnostic fee in order to have compressor shipped. What a WASTE of time and money!!!!!!

    Wish I'd seen this before buying one at the local discount center. Thought we were saving a few bucks to overlook a few dings. Wrong! P.O.S. Evaporator went bad just after the warranty expired. Still waiting for the new panel I ordered after two months. Now they're telling me they lost it.

    Now 8 years later it’s not freezing, it’s in my opinion

    Our $2,000 Kenmore Elite fridge just died. Not even five years old. Huge capacity unit that had hundreds upon hundreds of dollars of organic meat, produce and other food in it. The compressor went on it and will cost over $1,000 to fix. Better off just getting a new fridge. They sure do not build things to last like they used to. Just junk.

      Beverly Adams The compressor on our 4 year-old Kenmore Elite died a week ago. The compressor is part of the sealed system which has a 5 year warranty (at least on our model). Sears is fixing it, although it will take another couple of weeks for the part.

      Good luck our compressor has gone out 3 times in the past 6 mos. And now it is failing again. Our Kenmore Elite is also about 4 years old. Sears has fixed it because the compressor is under warranty. Weeks to wait for the part and service. Will never buy another Kenmore frig.

    Agree ! Similar scenario at my place. We have a french side by side 23 cu ft model. The circuit board is not longer made by them apparently. Sears technician tried all over the country for the part with no luck. That sucks ain't it? Do not buy this rebranded Kenmore (Whirlpool makes them for Sears I heard).

      the first 3 digits of the model number tell you who makes it. Like 795 is LG, 110 is Whirlpool. The number is usually ###.#######. The numbers before the period are the ones you want. They are usually smaller too, but not always.

    Before I bought my Elite I looked up the reviews from different sources online and mine was highly rated with no problems like yours. A comment mentioned a gasket issue with your model which is a design flaw. Contact Consumers Report Magazine and tell them about your fridge so others will know not to buy your model.

    Only a bit of a year old and the same problem with this Sears Kenmore elite refrigerator. Just had it service or repaired in less than a month. The problem appears to be the fan or the same problem stated on the UA-cam. Also watch out for their warranty. Sears supposedly two year plan is actually only one year because the first year is under the manufacture. I have read numerous comments and I agree that this is a poor product as well as poor customer service for the long service wait. after paying over 2500.00 for this model I will "never" purchase another Sears Product....period. You would think that a 2k dollar appliance would work what a joke of what they say in the Owners Manual about years of service. Those days are gone.

    We have this fridge it's only 4 years old and not cooling properly. Sears can't come until Dec 22 to fix it. So we have borrowed a fridge to use in meantime.

    We bought a lot of Sears appliances for a 2-family house. All of the Kenmore appliances are still solid and running strong 12 years later. All of the Kenmore Elite Appliances started having problems and functional issues within 5 years. GO figure.

    I just bought a Kenmore Elite refrigerator, no problems yet, but a huge 6 months problem with a Kenmore washer and drier that caused a big damage to my floor and Sears takes no responsibility for anything, I used to be a Sears client and now I am sure is the worse company to but appliances, worse customer service , DON'T BUY KENMORE!! I wish I saw this before, $ 5000.00 dollars to the trash!

    I guess I have to concur with all the other comments. It is sad 😥.
    I brought mine 2 years ago. Called sears it took 2 weeks service tech comes out says unplug it for 2 days and it will be ok.
    Did that 30 days latter same issue Did it again and determined there must be another issue. So I am determined to get repaired unfortunately I will now buy a plain Jane for my Garage.
    Nothing is really built good now adays. Customer service is ridiculous.
    Oh and by the way it's a kenmore but it was made in Korea.
    It's on my inside door panel.

    My new Kenmore Elite refrigerator is making a loud grinding noise once in a long while (from the compressor?). Not sure it's considered normal or not. But I find it disturbing even a few rooms away. I did not do my homework when I chose my new fridge - I just went for the look, since we did not have any problems with our older appliances before. I will keep my fingers crossed and hope my Kenmore elite fridge does not break down and show the error codes you guys saw. But the grinding noise always bugs me when it comes up... I may give Sears (LG behind) tech support a call and see what they say about the noise. Or I have to adapt myself and get used to this sleek-looking but noisy "elite" fridge for the years to come. I am paying the price of making decisions only by the look : )

      Most likely a compressor fan. Mine is doing the same thing, and I am about to order the fan online and swap it out. Not terribly difficult to do, just a pain in the butt.

    Bought Kenmore Elite 6 month ago. for 1.5 month we are waiting for repair and now customer service is saying... two more month. absolutely terrible service. no one care for nothing. DON'T BUY THIS FRIDGE. motherboard was not make properly to begin with. and sears is trying to cover this up.is anyone suing them? and what should we do?
    how we can go thru this wall of indifference? advise?

    Did they replace the motherboard and does it work now? We replaced the motherboard with a brand new one and it still has the problem. We are going on 3 weeks now. Grrrrrr.

      First refrigerator was repaired several times and finally replaced with a new one. That one had problems. After repairing/replacing parts twice they finally figured out exactly what was wrong. It has worked fine ever since.

      Laurie Wavra the Kenmore elite dishwasher is the best on the market hands down and sears does not do the repair work it's a 3rd party called a&e , don't blame sears for things they didn't do wrong

    I did not want a Kenmore Elite. I wanted the model that has the middle drawer that you can access without opening the doors. The men in the household had to go get the fridge at a time that I was not available. So, I wrote down the model#, the price ( orig. and sale ) and drew a picture of the one I wanted them to get. But they got the Elite and it's been a living nightmare ever since. I'm not exaggerating at all. Half of the time the ice maker doesn't work. When it does it doesn't make enough ice.. The freezer freezes up so bad that we have to pull everything out and melt the ice buildup so we can have freezer baskets that slide out and function properly. Not to mention the horrible squealing sounds it makes all the while it's malfunctioning. That's just a few of the complaints... Thanks guys for listening as usual :) KENMORE ELITE SUCKS!!!!

    Sears does not make their frig's. I know my Elite is made by LG and is not the same model as yours. I think your model has a common problem and Sears should replace the whole frig at this point. Keep talking to to supervisors up the ladder and request that. You can always go to Small Claims court but never say you are going to sue or they will do nothing.

      +dphotos "keep talking to supervisors" and how do you do that effectively over the phone? They give you runarounds, long holds, and multiple transfers. BTW they also hang up on you if you are rightfully agressive after spending 5K on a faulty fridge.

      +Montery12 +Montery12 I always call the corporate office. Had a problem with a JennAir center oven. Past the warranty issue broke 3 times same part. Jenn Air customer service refused to repair. Wrote a letter to the president of Maytag and they replaced the oven. Just don't give up. If the supervisors don't help. Write a snail mail letter to the top executives. Be kind in the letter. Or go to small claims court. Lot of times they will settle rather. than having a judge give a bad ruling towards their company.

      +dphotos Thanks for replying, I appreciate it. My needy kitchen appliances have been broken down since September 2015 and no repairs after five attempts (if any) have been made. Does Sears have only one corporate office through out the country or more? Who would you address letter to in hope some responsible agent reads it? These Questions are so basic but even information of this type is difficult to get in order to forward letter appropriately. You can put letter attention to "MPA CEO" or MPA Manager, but will you get a response in return? MPA service call center representatives do not cooperate with this type of inquiries. Any suggestions.

    my kenmore elite french door, door in a door, 2 years 1 month old compressor went, and condenser, and part of the coil. they replaced the compressor, but it was dead, then they found the coil was bad and so was the condenser. just like you said the parts came but they could not come for a week! they lie, they said it was ordered, but couldn't find the tracking # (because they never ordered the part! until a week later. long story short, it's been 7 (SEVEN WEEKS NOW) NO REFRIGERATOR!!! they were supposed to show up 8 to 11 today. i am seriously looking to buy a new refrig BUT NOT FROM SEARS!!!!!!!!!!

      schinia Nelli, I hope you got your fridge fixed by now! I would highly recommend you sell the fridge as a working fridge while you can because that compressor could go out again at any time. Wish I had done that but I "hoped" the next compressor would carry me a lot longer.....WRONG If you sell it now at least you can hopefully get a $1000 out of it and put it towards a better quality one. We bought a Frigidair French Door from a local dealer that services what they sell. They said they handled LG (which makes the Kenmore models) for a few years and what a nightmare!!!! They discontinued selling them.

    I have the same $2500 piece of junk. The compressor has a 10 year warranty...but sears has to fix it and the labor is just short of $500. Bought mine 9/2015, failed 10/2017, is currently dying again 8/2020.

      writemikea1 whirlpool is trash too. It tells you something when none of the companies offer anything longer than a 1 year factory warranty. Our fridge repair guy (on our whirlpool) told us he won't buy French doors because the companies are yet to figure out how to make them with out breaking in a very short time period. No matter the brand you are lucky to make it one year.

    I have had nothing but problems with my Kenmore Pro appliances from day 1. After warranty expired the gave up trying fix problems even though the issues were not resolved while the appliances were under warranty. These are JUNK!! On top of this there is no longer a Sears service person in our area and most independent service shops will not work on Kenmore. What a shocker that Sears is GOING BROKE.!!
    DO NOT BUY KENMORE!!!

    Don't buy Kenmore! Bought new Kenmore washer, fridge, and stove all at the same time (all top of the line, thousands of dollars). 2weeks ago stove goes poof and black smoke comes from back. Open it up to look, main board has a blown blackened something. Go to take it off and the plastic where the screws hold it in place just crumbles. Couple of days later washer starts leaking, 45bucks for a small piece of rubber. Now, fridge wont get cold. Hours of research on what could be the problem brought me here and I agree DO NOT PURCHASE KENMORE!

    My mother has a kenmore elite also and she has only had it 5 yrs and it quit on her! She paid big bucks and now she using a little fridge and stuck with this huge piece of junk! Makes me made they don’t make them better

    bought a Kenmore Elite Frig 5 years ago. The icemaker inconsistent. It would make ice for a few weeks then stop. With a busy life it would take a while to contact Sears to have them fix it. Then, on its own it would start working. Sears cant fix something if it is working ok. So at the end of the year the warranty expires. Over the years the icemaker will randomly start working for about a three week stretch. Then not work for the next 4 to 8 months. I have never had it work for more than 2 or 3 weeks at a time. Sad thing is I really know better than to buy Sears appliances. I had a neighbor that owned an appliance repair service. He told me that Sears was the last product to buy.

      What I found out. There is a component that put inside of the fridge where the door closes inside of the fridge. Since the repair man came and installed those 2 little pieces my ice maker had worked consistently. However I did just get this fridge about 4 months ago. But it works.

      Kenmore Elite fridges are made by LG. What difference does it make where you buy them?
      Every company pulls out of the same warehouse and have nothing to do with the production of the fridge. So what, now you'll go to Lowe's buy a Samsung Fridge and whine and complain when in two years it gives you a problem and expect more from a different company?
      Do you know the definition of insanity; its, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. And soon, if you haven't noticed by now you'll get the same result and it's that appliances are not built to last you 20 years! And something that has no maintenance done to it will not last 5. My advice to you, buy extended warranties.

    Terrible service on these Elite models. We have been fighting to fix our $2,500 Elite model (31 Cu ft.) that just out of the five year extended warranty that we bought. The compressor still has a 10 year warranty. The model number is the 795-72059-110, black model. It is actually made by LG and during the second visit by the repair guy (they still haven't fixed it and a third trip is upcoming) he stated that the LG models are garbage and we should go and buy a new refrigerator, something other than an LG model. He really bashed the construction quality of this and other Sears/LG models. That sort of surprised me until I realized he was only a repair subcontractor for Sears, not one of their employees. For $2,500 you would expect more.

    That’s so crazy it’s like why buy the warranty I just look mine up and I got all my stuff from Best Buy over 10 years ago bought the refrigerator freezer a standup freezer dishwasher microwave stove all in one package well I don’t think the standup freezer was in the package think it was like 30 500-3900 something like that I can’t remember so long ago

    I have the same fridge and it had the same issues , I am replacing all my Kenmore elites with Samsung from the washer dryer and soon coming fridge. I too had the extended warranty but they didn't mention covering the food huh..The extended warranty is not that good they have too many loop wholes. I have kids and the shelves have broken. They said it was my fault or the kids. Because the gallon of milk stresses the plastics when the kids pull the milk out guess they should engineer these things with kids in mind since they are in the fridge the most lol...Bestbuy says they will cover my washer and dryer should they get wet like with our latest flood I lost a lot..Well sears said sorry act of god lol really god wanted my washer and dryer lol ..stay away from sears they are bandits.

    Glad Sears is going out of business bought my elite(ha) refrigerator 5yrs ago it hasn't worked for the last 2 yrs also had service warranty and the techs don't know their ass from their elbow fridge not freezing tech came out told me to put bottle of water in freezer wait 24hrs to see if frozen if not call back didn't hit him with bottle because didn't want to go to jail after 7months fridge never fixed and cancelled warranty, Found out also warranty was sold by sears but serviced by 3rd party, Now that company on TV selling home warranties.BEWARE

      I have had a French Door Elite since 2009 (model # 795.79752.900)made by LG Its fine. I think you hear about the ones with problems. I believe any electronic can fail with all the sensors and such now a days. I have a problem with the doors not closing properly now. I replaced the gasket. It ripped within 30 days of installing it. the french doors gaskets hit together.

    Well my husband Purchase refrigerator Kenmore elite 2011 so now the refrigerator is not working It has a gas leak and it's not repairable sucks now cause we don't have a refrigerator it sucks cause the dmmmm refrigerator was really expensive $3,000 + thx 😡+ my food when bad 2 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Kenmore Elite 4.5 years old compressor just died!!! Parts covered under warranty but LABOR isnt.......this is an LG fridge that you pay more for!!!

    Ok so we need to all get together and file a formal complaint against Kenmore. Any lawyers in this group or anyone know the best way to form a group centered on these refrigerators. Kenmore paid out a class action lawsuit for models built in 2003-2005. We need to be made whole. These refrigerators are junk and I see story after story of dissatisfied customers with the same issues. These are faulty products and we need Kenmore to make this right

    Just experienced the same thing with an expensive LG frig. They cant fix it and so now they are warranting it out and getting just a little more than half of what I paid for it...after 2 months and 1 wk without a frig. Never LG Frig again.....and yes sears repair people are the most incompetent repair people.
