I wish I was able to talk to people as easily as you do! I found that some sellers were kinda shy or exhausted, so I left most of them alone. (I went on the last days which didn't help.) Unfortunately many people who bothered the sellers were people trying to haggle, so I tried to make sure I made them feel super appreciated when I bought something from them. I'm going to try to go earlier next year and see if that helps!
Rebekah Shim You’re totally right the last couple days of the show is pretty exhausting and then there’s the mental fatigue of knowing that you have to pack up and drive home when I first started going to the larger Jem shows in America are usually only went to the last couple days so that I could negotiate some extremely hard ball deals which is not a good way to make friends now I try to film during the beginning of the shows and do not negotiate like I used to :) If you were in Tucson next year it’s also best to go at the beginning of the show
I find ppl really love to talk about themselves, what they do, & their expertise. They deal w a lot of rude ignorant ppl all day too, while watching for theft. We all have good & bad days. But if truly intrested, have a wee bit of knowledge? Ppl will talk your ears off.

Dear Labrador Dave: I have one question and one request: Why are everyone using silver in the rings and pendants and not brass? I’m a gold person, I do not like silver at all, and I have been looking for brass rings with rocks for several years. Thirty years ago, brass rings were as common as silver when it came to mounting rocks/crystals, but now it is extremely difficult to get hold of. Why is that do you think? I know they are made in gold sometimes but that is too expensive for me. The sound on these videos are sometimes drowned in background noise, and since English is my fourth language I miss out on what stones/crystals you are showing or talking about. Could you give a thought to those hearing impaired and those not steady in English (or rocks) and text in the video just the name of the rock or the item you’re showing us? That would mean the world to me!! 😍 Thank you sooooo much for the videos and for taking us window shopping in times when the entire world is quarantined.
Lilly Love hello there my friend I really appreciate you watching when it comes to brass in jewelry in America it’s really frowned upon because it’s one of the materials that can tarnish the skin if someone is sensitive to it you see a lot more brass jewelry in Israel and east India but here in America a lot of people don’t like it and when you do see a lot of people use leather on the inside of the ring or bracelet to keep it from tarnishing my skin when it comes to the subtitles I really don’t mind doing it and I plan on doing it in the future but at the moment I’m using a very old editing program for these videos and it’s about time that I upgrade for sure :)
Lapidary Dave Thank you for your answer. Aha, so that’s why. I bought brass rings a long time ago that was treated with something, like resin (?) and it didn’t tarnish, but I know untreated rings leaves you green. The newest thing I’ve seen now is using plastic tubes instead of metal around your finger. Either see through or colored tubes. It’s actually incredible cool if the design/fitting around the main stone is minimalistic, clean and modern too. It gives a very modern, expensive, artsy, designer vibe to the ring. It isn’t for everyone though, you need to maybe be that modern, art and design type who loves unusual things. Where I bought it, they told me that a lot of people who usually never wore rings, bought those with see-through rubber tubes, as it isn’t that blingy and visible as one made of silver/gold. I just love it when people make up new ways to use old things.
Thats a large pinapple. Most are 1/2 that size. There wss a time any opal the had violets & blues was concidred inferior & tossed away. Of course all those tailings have been picked thru, & recovered.
Miji Yoon I think it’s an incredible deal for $50 a scoop you could pick out all the good stuff and then sell the rest for nearly 5 times that price I should’ve bought a scoop for the video and did a giveaway but I didn’t have a lot of time and I was suffering from elevation sickness since January is pretty high up I think it’s over 8000 feet
