Totally ran a female glamour bard Loxodon themed after a veil dancer you might see in Arabian Nights. It was very fun to play her catering to a specific clientele, as well as the making tons of NPCs confront deep and disturbing feelings within themselves.

I'd like to imagine that the Loxodon Artificer would have trouble finding tools of the right size for them so they have to constantly fiddle with tiny tools while making magic items
Dang it DnD creators! Let me play a huge and tiny creature! I already find it weird GOLIATHS are not taller and considered huge. Let me live with the mistake of not being able to fit in buildings or walk as fast cause I'm teeny! I get some restrictions like playing giants or are bug sized but everyone being medium sized is so boring. I shared this with my players and now he's making a 300 year old loxodon that's gonna end up being everyone's grandpa from how he described it. A bardbarian who only rages after one of his friends get hurt but is otherwise hesitate to fight. He sounds adorable and I'm excited. XD
I made a loxodon monk who’s parents gave him to a monastery to protect me when I was a baby. In our campaign where we lived was a human supremacy and all other non human creatures are ether killed made into slaves or exiled. So far I am the only character that has not died yet considering we came across a kraken at lv 3 that wiped all but 3 people out of the 6 then we came acrossand accent blue dragon at lv 4 that I convinced to attack a military fort that was being made in its Territory. On of our pc became a puppet of an accent Primordial. And right now I’m stuck babysitting a pc goblin that has almost killed our party twice. The stories I could tell

After we loot the room and right down a map that lbs on the wall we attempt to return the way we came and we run into our friend who was taken by the primordial. I beet the living crap out of him and he turns to dust. Then turns out he didn’t die and he has the eye of venkia. Now we have a race to find the arm before he does. Also this all happens when we’re lv 6
Oh sick! I recently got in a Pathfinder game and I plan to make a Loxodon (custom created large race) Green Knight Cavalier (think knight class different from fighters and paladins). The story goes that the world is being invaded by Lovecraft Ian eldritch horrors. My dude Dinjan came because his order took an oath to balance the natural world and that of civilization. He plans to beat them with kindness. Also a very big hammer.
I think an interesting RP trait to give Loxodons is that they would see all human-like races as being cute, and they would speak to them like we would to puppies and kittens in an annoying patronizing tone. They would also act like parents to their fellow party members.
@@Rookzer0 the DM and I agreed that bonus damage depended on the distance N'Daga was able to charge before hitting the monster because while an elephant might be slow on accelerating but can hit a surprisingly high top speed
@@Rookzer0 thank you it's part of the reason I like playing beast races because you can add things for realism Like if your an aarakokra you take bonus damage from blunt damage because of the hollow bones but for balancing they get different stats depending on the type of bird you are
Awesome video and drawing! I'm currently running a Loxodon monk named Maxen Zhandol... My GM is not letting me do a whole lot with his trunk, but he's super awesome Tranquility Monk. His Path features are mostly useless, with the exception of healing hands with a nice pool of points. Makes the path totally worth it, and takes some pressure off the cleric. I play him with elements of Po and Shifu from Kung Fu Panda. Lots of fun...
Weapons? Two spiked tower shields, hammers, or/and a spear or axe either held with the trunk, or attached to the trunk like a gauntlet sword. Best class? Barbarian, Battlemaster, Cleric.
Last year i have found this artwork, which iched me to play a mammoth loxodon. So i have been playing Dronton for a year now and he is awesome. A conquest paladin and forge cleric, who also is a blacksmith. His only armor is his leather apron and in fights he uses a glave, which he crafted himself. One time he battled and won against an giant ape in a one o one battle. Well i only survived because of a nat 20 on a death save (thats why one tusk broke off). So thanks for that! :)
I aggree, id love to see some more artifacts and spells cross over. I allow my players to bring cards to the table as insperation. A Beholder mtg deck would be pretty sweet.
Playing a Loxodon Warlock at the moment with plenty of cantrips and melee touch spells to simulate ripping people to pieces with his massive limbs and tusks and it's awesome.
Just started a campaign with a Loxodon Clockwork Soul Sorcerer. An elephant never forgets after all. It's fun to be both charismatic and analytical, because even when you're sitting in the back counting on you abacus the exact gold amount the bandits should be forced to pay their victims as recompense, no will ignore the elephant in the room.

Update: made a "Woolly Folk" race for this on D&D (glitched and wouldn't let me publish lol) and played one in a game as a large creature instead of medium definitely worth ot eventhough the game got cut short. Totally plan on playing one again as a huge creature. Try to ask your DM's to let you used a weapon that a hill giant would have lol
So hey man I'm back with another quick update about goldtooth and his friends Adventures. This one's going to be really short for not very much important things that. So we've been playing the module against the Giants and we just finally completed that at the very last dungeon we faced a bunch of fire Giants and actually face to demon Lords. The demogorgon that wasn't at his full strength an orcish The Necromancer who at the time was at his full strength. And defeated a ancient Red Dragon. The reason why the two demons were there is because they were hunting two of the artifacts of orcish that were hiding in the place what he did get his hands on sadly. But when will me and my friends were able to take on the ancient red dragon in take it out when I was going to harvest some of its blood for some alchemic rituals later our DM had me roll for a wisdom save what I did fail and when I did he had me had a vision and in the vision I was in a dark room everything was hot and very dry and out of the darkness 12 eyes pure down at me and then five voices all talking at once said I have finally found you you little vermin and then I snapped out of the vision. So pretty much our DM has teroimt now coming after me so ye to demon Lords and a God all now hate goldtooth and want him dead. I am wondering what my next adventure will be I'm hearing that are DM wants to us to go through the tomb of Horrors after we get past floor 18 on the tower of the Mad mage. So wish goldtooth luck he's definitely going to need lol

The Loxodons are extremely underwhelming in my view. No Strength increase, no size increase, no mentions of tusks etc...hell, not even variants like the minotaurs. WOTC really missed the chance to do something with this. And they seem to have a butthurt stance on letting players be anything bigger than medium size... Despite making every effort to try and make big guys still seem 'big' in some ways, like the bugbear.
Yeah I always ask my players that if they want to play a minotaur or loxodon that they play them as large sized creatures. I think it fits them better in the long run.
I personally quite enjoy the Loxodon not just being another Str/Con Race. The +2 Con keeps the feel of them being big and burly, while the +1 Wis reflects the Wisdom that is usually attributed to Elephants as an animal and as a symbol. Plus, it gives me the excuse to play Loxodon Clerics, Monks, and Druids. Do still wish they were larger in size or had an official Mastadon/Mammoth Variant.

I always thought loxodons with step of the wind was beyond silly, and I love it.

I think any loxodon should have a stomp and sound attacks and rush or tackle attack. Also usin weapons in each hand and in the trunk

The natural are thing is cool, they're one of the two races that has an AC not tied to dex, the other being tortol.
