Love the empathetic feeling one can get just from artyom's shes st the end, the realization and horror of being too late, failing to do what you wanted to save innocent lives. He ran for his own safety and in doing so, the threat diverted to others, and it pained him when he couldn't stop it. Very beautiful cinematic trailer. And hes, Wilhelm scream for the lols.

Crying Is for Winners the place Artyom is at the end of the trailer, a sort of memorial. His eyes are bloodshot. Maybe those are the lives of people he couldn’t save. Shit man it’s like he’s living with the pain of those he couldn’t save with him all his life. When he ran from the monsters he chose to save himself. But when he saw others in danger he forgot himself and immediately charged at danger to save other people. It’s fucking sad as hell. You can see his pain at the end.

Taimoor Khan I say in my opinion he is one of my favorite gaming characters, i can relate with the game and how realistic it is the developers really lived up to putting time into this game and story line for years been a huge fan since 2012, i ain’t going to lie i was beyond shocked when he was alive on Metro Exodus i thought he was done for when he pulled the plug and the hole damn metro exploded in front of him...
I hope one day they make a movie out of these games. Crazy how this game doesn’t get the attention it deserves

It's all so gripping and full of emotion, even through his mask. He reminds of me and what I'd do in a time like that, just trying to save people. Not gonna lie, the first time I watched this it made me shed some tears.

I thought that the doll would be a metaphor for Artyom losing his multiple "lives" and getting closer to death, but it turns out that it represents a family he failed to save.
The way he was shown in trying so hard to get to them in time and the look in his eyes as he sees the carnage, man. That was heartbreaking.
i think it not only represents a family he didn't save, but everyone he didn't.. with all the different environments, the doll represents all the lves he could have saved but failed to do so

Hey guys, i wrote this as a reply but if yall still figuring it out here ya go.
The kid Artyom is seeing is a ghost of a kid and his family he failed to save. Whenever the ghost kid removes a peace of the russian doll it sends him to different scenarios where people need him. At the end it shows a family being chased by zombies and the main family in this trailer by a bear, which sparks his desire to save them. Well long story short he fails to save the family, but keeps the doll to remind him of his greatest failure. At the end he decides to venture out into the world to save as many people as he can to atone.

This cannot be true because he has not left the metro before he game. If he hadn’t left the metro then how can he fail to save someone in a forest. The settings in his nightmare represent the different environments the game takes place in.

@@gilbertmelendez8836 Metro 2033 is the first one and Metro last light is the second one.
I'd recommend buying them and playing them before the new one. I think you can still get 1&2 bundled together for pretty cheap, the controls feel a little bit dated going back so just something to keep in mind.
Or you could read through the wikis if you don't have time to play the old ones and get the synopsis that way.
You'll lose out on the story and seeing the progression but thats just an option if you are okay with skipping the first two.
Thanks alot I actually bought the bundle more than a year ago during a steam sale and never even played them yet.. exodus I a little more than a week away and idk if I would have the time to complete both

For those who don't know about artyom ability he can see through the past as a flashbacks whenever he explore new place or if he touches a object he can see the incident associated with that object if any.
that's not an ability, it's a paranormal phenomenon caused by the nuclear weapons and a massive number of deaths and anyone in Metro can see those memories and ghosts, Artyom just learned to survive them and not be dragged into the abyss (I'm not spoiling how, read the books or play the first two games)
I just had a instant emotional connection with the character not bad not bad at all!
