That part where he says "I'm just not strong enough" really breaks my heart. I know it's only a game, but the pain can be so real. They did an incredible job at capturing the emotions in this trailer
"It's hard to watch something you love destroy itself, to see it fall apart. Disaster always feels so distant, detached, someone else's struggle in some far away place. It's not until it's in our city, our doors, that we realize how fragile we are, all of us, all of this. And when it hit, when it came down, it came down hard, and we fell. We buried ourselves in anger, fear, in the instinct to survive. And the real truth is, no one watched. No one saw, wanted to see. Tragedy is invisible; people turn away from it - they run from it if they can; and it's hard knowing that you belong here; that your purpose lies amongst all this pain. But someone's gotta be there to pick it up. To push back. Put the first piece back together. Put us all back together."
As a veteran who suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts, this cinematic kept me alive at times and on the right path when the darkness closed in. And I am still here, constantly trying to help others. Thank you
I would say the only thing I was really let down by in Division 2 was the setting. The whole summer season just doesn't make it feel as desperate and desolate as winter
Right. And the main problem with TD2 was that the city and the people didn't NEED you any more. They were "rebuilding" so the game didn't have that desperate urgency for you to want to help. I hope Ubi/Massive doesn't forget this in TD3
@@SDM3791 yes, I agree with this. It’s something I truly disliked about the game. I’m just hoping we get a grimier setting, along with somewhere out of America. Perhaps London, or somewhere in Europe. Granted, the division agents are based in a America only, if I recall. But I presume in the lore of this game - all major world governments have their own version of division agents which all share the same technology. NATO wise anyways Overall, I truly loved the New York setting in the first one, especially with the winter aspect. But I also wanna see how the rest of the world is coping. Heck, UK is one place I’d love. America’s closest ally, weather commonly known to be drastically awful, and it’ll be a complete new setting to the next instalment. Yes, guns aren’t exactly the easiest of things to attain in the real world when it comes to U.K., but who says the game has to follow that aspect. I just wanna see a 28 weeks scenario for how the city of London could look. Silent streets, waste bags piled up through severely contaminated areas etc
Glad I wasn’t the only one feeling that’s way, the division two didn’t give me that desperate feeling anymore. The summer vibe isn’t it. I prefer the first game where it’s just desperate times … felt more impact. I always come to the first division.
100% agree. i was super excited once they mentioned it would be in DC since i'm a DC native but the green, bright vibe of it totally threw me off of it. the true bleakness of the first division was what kept me so engaged so it was hard for me to stick to it with the division 2
I agree. it's golden charms like this in a pile of garbage that make you smile ( Example : Call of duty), I'm really excited for this game. I don't believe it'll be bad cause "watch dogs was bad", Watch dogs was made by another group, and Ubisoft had a different level of involvement in that game. Ubisoft has been going all out. with This, far cry 4, The crew.. I just can't wait! A for ubisoft
TheSkyCrusader Gaming I kind of understand the reason for it. After reading all that pcmasterrace bullshit and all the debates of consoles vs PC and stuff they decided to make the game equal on all platforms. To be honest, I loved it. We strive for equality in rights of many communities, why not to do the same for console audience? It's predictable that any game will look better on average high-end PC if it would use its power for more than just around 40%. I honestly enjoyed the game, both the narrative and free roaming grounds. It gave me a lot of fun times with friends and opened quite some discussions that were both insightful and entertaining. Never in my life I would regret pre-ordering it. The graphics were fixed by 'TheWorst' mod for me. So it became a non-issue. Ubisoft have nothing to apologize for with their Watch Dogs game. I think we could all appreciate some new IP instead of modern war games factory devs a-la DICE/EA or Activision owned studios with their constant Call of Dooteys clones. I was tired of war games and I got a great game set in near future that didn't require me to shoot my way through armies of soldiers. Now if only I could get some patience to wait for The Division. I just can't see the ways how it could not be a masterpiece. It's a Tom Clancy open world next gen game. That's enough said about it. I'm ready to cash out.
Somehow, after 8 years, this is still one of the most beautiful, suspenseful, chilling, hype-inducing trailers ever. Hats off to all that were involved to make this masterpiece.

This trailer made me realize all the things I took for granted. I expected to see my friends at school everyday, I expected to get chipotle with my girlfriend whenever, I expected to have my job until I found a better one, I expected to not be shut in my house and being forced to leave my favorite fishing spot by the cops for not staying home, I expected Walmart to have the food I loved to cook at home and for it not to swarmed by mobs of people hoarding, I expected my gym to always be open. I took many things for granted that that this virus took from me. “Disaster always seems so distant, detached, someone else’s struggle in some far away place, it’s not until it’s in our city, at our door that we realize how vulnerable we are, all of us, all of this.”
We're gonna get through this, man. Don't worry. Be strong. Be vigilant. You have what it takes, you just don't realize it yet. And remember, we're in it together, for the long haul. You'll always have someone looking out for you. 👍

Ikr? I actually got chills watching this trailer. I'm just so amazed how emotional storytelling has evolved so much in gaming, and this is a setting example of such accomplishments. I cannot wait for this game to come out
The force unleashed 2 trailer where starkiller fights Vader is better, also the elders scrolls online has 2 or 3 eight minutes plus cinematic trailers that are the shlitzz
zazeedavid not even remotely. those were just flashy eye candy and are not even close to how this one masterfully evokes emotion and portrays the gritty atmosphere. the scene at the end puts you right in the characters' perspectives. if you want the best eye candy just look at WoW cinematics. they probably put tens of millions of dollars just producing each cinematic. this The Division trailer is in its own class.
This game DOES NOT look like this anymore. It got SERIOUSLY downgraded from E3. Read up for yourself: linustechtips.com/main/topic/170479-ubisoft-massive-sweden-leak-on-division-downgrade/
Tragedy seems so distant, someone else’s struggle in a foreign place, it’s not until it’s in our city at our doors that we realize how fragile we really are- couldn’t have said it better myself
Make your matters of opinion. We all have them. This trailer got under my skin and made me emotional. From the atmosphere to the musical score to the invisible tragedy depicted by the world moving around but no people that suffered being noticed. From the obvious sign of mass sickness showing as the camera pans into Marcus and Sarah's apartment and the sound of their kid falling prey to the sickness as medical supplies and dishes and pile up and toys stop moving around her room. From Sarah quarantining herself in her's and Marcus's bedroom and telling him one last time that she loves him before she accepts her fate. To Marcus alone being left to deal with his grief and pain of losing his family and having to balance that with fending off what is most likely Rikers or other cowards who are a product of a weak and disappearing government infrastructure. To the signs of obvious over use of medication and the migrating revolver that moved around the kitchen Island until you hear Marcus say he is just not strong enough to Sarah despite her being gone and pain, grief and loss becomes to much to bare. Then then camera pans out of the now empty apartment as responding police officers are assaulted and killed upon arrival and military checkpoints fail to contain the chaos to reveal that this was just the fate of 3 people in one apartment in New Yorks most densely populated borough of around 1.63 million people. It makes a fine job of depicting pain and the music shows that despite that pain and decay the city is not dead yet and that a pulse yet remains but that it will not come back to life without intervention. I just started playing this game and I will not hesitate to say it is enjoyable and has been made into a good experience. I am glad I waited to play it. This trailer is in my top 5 list of videogame trailers. It is beautiful.
Man the hype this game created, about saving the innocent and doing some good. In the end, it turns out to be emptying 3 magazines to kill one guy and looting for oneself to see the best gear one can get. What happened?
Pretty much... I was so hyped to join "The Division" and do some good during a crisis for once during a video game, rather than just being another asshole shooting at everything. Ubisoft fell on their face SO hard with the Division.
This trailer still moves me emotionally, whether the game is shit or not, this is a well made trailer. it's gritty and the score is very powerful. this is for you cinematic trailer maker, You have caused ripples in my soul.
With you all the way, you captured in words exactly how I felt watching this trailer and how, frankly, most trailers should be (aside from it's grittiness, a trailer doesn't have to be gritty to be good -although it sure as heck does help a lot)
+Sk3tch00d Seriously, I'm at work and this is probably the 3rd time I've seen this trailer, but I'm fighting back tears. Incredibly powerful trailer. I hope the game lives up to it.
This trailer makes me tear up. I suffer from anxiety and severe depression but there are some heroes who don't even know how much they help some people.
Wish the game was a slower-paced, gritty, bloody single player with the story full of both of these heart-breaking and soul-uplifting stories. This would've been dope. I hope that someday Ubisoft will release a single-player reimagined experience of Division, once the servers are shut down.

Been in quarantine for a week now. Some people at work got the virus so we are all laying low until this thing is over. Luckily I have plenty of supplies and food. Watching this and looking outside is pretty freaky but as long as no one with a flame thrower riding a garbage truck shows up I think I'll be fine.

Sorry if i sound sentimental but this trailer brings tears to my eyes with the music and when the protagonist tries to reach out with his hand for the innocent man on the ground. This trailer is just awesome with the music. I am not really into RPG or MMO but i am gonna create an exception for this one.I really can't wait to play this game.
AhmedMaherr The game is RPG shooter just like Borderlands. I don't mean the gameplay, I meant the concept. Wait actually, it reminds me of Mass Effect.

That trailer is so good I can't even find words for it. Probably one of the best game trailers ever. The beginning is so well done. You understand what happens even though you don't really see it happen. The pictures speak for themself. Furthermore the voice over is phenomenal. It's an emotional speech accompanied by a fitting melody. I have to say I had some tears in my eyes by the end of the trailer :P
It was surprisingly deep, we always hear about death and tragedy on the news, all in another county. "Well thats not my problem" we always think. It isnt until its happening on our streets, when we choose to care. Sad, but true. Lets hope this never becomes a reality.
Well the point of the game was to bring back NY TOGETHER. The story is actually really good if you find the phones/missing agents. And at the end of the day. This isnt a "backstory with villian/ hero going waaay back. Your character is just doing his job. The story comes from what you make of it.
I have never seen a trailer better than this one, this makes me cry ever time I watch it, the division was the game I spent my first teen years playing, the people I met and the things I worked for in it gave me hope in the real world. this game has more to it than what people say.
I'm in tears
As a veteran who suffered from depression and suicidal thoughts, this cinematic kept me alive at times and on the right path when the darkness closed in. And I am still here, constantly trying to help others. Thank you
Wish you very good luck. The best just takes awhile.
@@ghostupid8659 Thank you Lamb, this means a lot. You take care as well, you are a hero and I appreciate you reaching out.
I hope you still fighting and are much better. Love you
❤️👊 From the UK
NATO wise anyways
Overall, I truly loved the New York setting in the first one, especially with the winter aspect.
Lies again? Cobra Viper Male Dance
Games have evolved so much.
No trailer made me feel the way this one did.
Games are turning into movies, stories and messages are getting better.
I agree. it's golden charms like this in a pile of garbage that make you smile ( Example : Call of duty), I'm really excited for this game. I don't believe it'll be bad cause "watch dogs was bad", Watch dogs was made by another group, and Ubisoft had a different level of involvement in that game. Ubisoft has been going all out. with This, far cry 4, The crew.. I just can't wait! A for ubisoft
TheSkyCrusader Gaming Watch Dogs wasn't even such a bad game. It's mostly the massive internet circlejerk hate. It'll pass soon like another meme.
Nick J Well, the story and everything was really well done, I guess the reason it's getting hated so much is because of the downgraded graphics
Alejandro Gomez I Watched thi video like 80 time already.
Somehow, after 8 years, this is still one of the most beautiful, suspenseful, chilling, hype-inducing trailers ever. Hats off to all that were involved to make this masterpiece.

“Disaster always seems so distant, detached, someone else’s struggle in some far away place, it’s not until it’s in our city, at our door that we realize how vulnerable we are, all of us, all of this.”

those were just flashy eye candy and are not even close to how this one masterfully evokes emotion and portrays the gritty atmosphere. the scene at the end puts you right in the characters' perspectives.

This needs to be on T-Shirts.
Who would have thought this video game would become a documentary!
You have spoken. For this is the way.
