Love how you can’t contain your excitement. The contrast of how stealth your approach is then outburst of excitement when you get a hit. I’m the same. Maybe minus the stealth approach. Loved your message at the end too man. We all need to find a way to be a better version of ourselves. My wife says the same thing to our kid when she goes for a walk and he doesn’t want her to go. She tells him that the reason she goes is that when she comes back she is a better mummy for him. A better version of herself.
I'm not gonna lie watching this is better than anything on Netflix stan, prime, and Disney and I have them all, and the music through the sound system my partner thought I was watching a war movie I said you are its called John flik🤣
Great job John. My favourite fishing you tuber. You do a great job. Great work on the cameras and giving great info and handy tips. You deserve great things for your effort and commitment. Wish one of my teachers at school was a fishing nut. Wouldn’t be much school talk goin on. Keep it up mate, love your stuff. Cheers
JOHNNY IS A BLOODY LEGEND!!! the sreason I got into fishing was from these videos and ever since I’ve been hooked 😉! I’ve even made a UA-cam Chanel of my own. I posted my first fishing vid last night and have a part two coming out Friday 👌🏽 thanks again legend love your work
After vids like this i think Relief work is on the cards john More time for vids haha Man i swear you good hit a fly on the head with those skip casts Just perfect honestly learning so much from you keep it up
What weight do you typically reach for to skip plastics easily? I understand that depth of water and speed of current will also dictate but for ease of skipping, what would be your go to weight?
Gday Nash. I’ve done a couple videos on it all about 6 months ago. Some real detail in them. Basically it’s a 5’10 3-6kg stick and a Curado 7.3:1 reel running 20lb.
I am just trying to learn baitcasting and I keep getting birds nests if I don't have my thumb on the spool the whole time. I noticed in your video you are arent using your thumb at all. Do you have any secrets that prevent backlash on your baitcaster? I have a pretty cheap daiwa so not sure if that's the problem

As someone struggling to learn with the baitcaster... this is godly!
Super awesome compilation. Thanks for the vids, helps a ton when struggling with fishing withdrawal syndrome during quarantine. Haha!
Awsome, when im back working again, ill put in an order for all of your DVDs. Im sure others will do the same. 👍

Hi Johnny , Can you tell me what brand of kayak you are using with the motor? Love all the vids you are putting out , keep up the great work.
thank you for sharing your knowledge, friend ... I want the rod and reel that you used when casting using softlure
For all those asking he uses a curado and a 3-6 kg rod. Usually Shimano bass raider. Short rod for control. And whippy.
Epic video mate🤟
I like you spot fishsing broo
Great to watch.
Is it starting to cool down a little for Jacks?
They’re still around Bruce. I haven’t been fishing for a couple weeks now but the boys I follow who have are still doing well ;)
Awesome stuff Johnny, Can see why you love the Jack fishing up those creeks. Do you get Barra up those creeks?
What weight do you typically reach for to skip plastics easily?
I understand that depth of water and speed of current will also dictate but for ease of skipping, what would be your go to weight?
Hey mate. I generally go with around 1/4 oz
Mate what is the length of your baitcast rod? Cheers
What is your setup for skip casting? How long is the rod? What poundage? Reel ratio?
Gday Nash. I’ve done a couple videos on it all about 6 months ago. Some real detail in them. Basically it’s a 5’10 3-6kg stick and a Curado 7.3:1 reel running 20lb.
Great action..Is that a DC bait caster?
Cheers David. It’s the older style Curados ;) not a DC.
Another question if I may , in your kayak what battery do you use to for the minn Kota?
Hi Dean ;) I run a 90aH and it goes all day just cruising no worries
mylurebox lithium ?
If someone asks you for a rock skipping battle do you just pull out the rod?
Hahaaaa. Brilliant stuff. I did pull a drone from the top of a gum tree second cast once ;) Hahaa. Gold bomber got it done.
What rod and reel do you use for skip casting, i tried it but couldnt get the lure skipping at all.
Hi mate what size rod you useing to skip the plastic a round thanks
Hi mate. I use a 510 3-6kg rod. The short rod helps with my accuracy and the whippy blank helps skip em in ;)
I am just trying to learn baitcasting and I keep getting birds nests if I don't have my thumb on the spool the whole time. I noticed in your video you are arent using your thumb at all. Do you have any secrets that prevent backlash on your baitcaster? I have a pretty cheap daiwa so not sure if that's the problem
He's got his thumb on the spool all the time. He talks about it elsewhere, gets a blister.
@@MrScrofulous gave up on that 2 years ago 😁
Brother~ What length of the rod are you using?? Thanks for reply (:
Hi Levi, it’s a 5’10 medium action
Be buggered if I can skip cast!! Tried so many time but just can't get it
It’s a frustrating way to gettin it Steven I can attest to that.
What's name your rod
It’s a Bass Raider by Shimano 3-5kg 510
@@mylurebox thanks brother.. im from indonesia
Fc thailand l live you fishing Mangroup jack
You can cast the absolute christ out of that rod.
Bro u talk more than u fishing 😓😓
