They look great , however I fashioned my own which works great. It is solid with slim line and works perfectly. Mounted it with a putty that sets like a rock. Thank you for sharing Mate. 😎

Love seeing an honest critique of our products and you touched on our original plastic chin mount’s shortcomings perfectly. Those were all faults that we also saw ourselves and tried to address by coming out with FLEX. Great video!

As far as the 3M VHB (Red) that is actually a pretty good industrial grade tape. When I was involved in the OEM truck manufacturing industry (tractor trailers) we used to assemble several components with this VHB tape and other structural adhesives instead welding or riveting.
Well there you go. I learned something new. The "original" mount has plain old the 3M but the flex has the VHB tape. This is good to know! Thank you.
I think giving it away is a great way to handle it. I really appreciate that you even worry about it, that really speaks to your integrity. I don't need to be in the drawing, I have my mounting all sorted.
To me, all I have for credibility is my integrity. So I guess I'm a bit sensitive about it. Thank you for your kind words.

It's nice to see the variety of helmet mounts and how they may or may not work on a specific helmet. I went round and round before finding one that worked for my HJC helmet. It's a lot like the Slim Mount though mine is detachable so it can be used on more than one helmet. I've never had more than one helmet at a time. A minimalist I guess...
As far as paid promotions go, you seem entirely too straightforward and honest to ever be a snake oil salesman. No worries as far as I can tell.

Great honest review. From what it seems the flexible one is just more flexible as to how many helmets it’ll fit. I know the Chin Mounts version didn’t work out for you, but I do like the fact they are made helmet specific. You’re definitely killing it Eric!!!

G’day Eric, thanks for the video. You want honest comments on your review? Well…very thorough, which is how you do things. Maybe a little rushed…I had to keep replaying with each item to get my head around which one you demonstrating and the pro’s and con’s. Which is NOT a negative! What I do often learn from your videos are the incidental “pro tips” I.e. using the “alcohol” wipes and more interestingly, heating up the surfaces. I’ve not heard of doing that and totally “get” why you should do that. Hmmm, maybe I should read instructions….?
Very helpful. Just the info I'm looking for. It's had for me to critique myself when I'm mybown worst critic. So any info on what I'm doing right or wrong is helpful.
As far as reviewing moto gear or accessories….. I don’t see anything wrong with that as long your reviews are unbiased. (knowing you and your character I am sure they always will be) Plus keep in mind that you may be reviewing something others aren’t aware of therefore it may help your audience to address potential challenges or questions.
My take on it is my integrity isn't for sale. So my resolve is to give 100% of and sent items to the viewers. If I want one after I review I'll purchase it. Personally, I'm tired of watching infomercials on other channels, which seems to taint the review. Thanks for your input on this as I'm in a bit of a quandary on this.

I have an HJC F70 with a couple of vents on the chin. I wonder if I could get the flex mount to work since it is so thin.
Right now I'm using an offset mount that wraps around to the chin. It is a lot of plastic and several joints.

I think you've well and truly more than earned your credibility stripes Eric. I'd trust your objective opinion whether you received a product at no charge or passed it on or returned it or paid for it or whatever. They seem to have a solution for many helmet types but that double-sided adhesive really seems to be a direct and efficient way to do it. About to check out the Harley Couple, cheers mate!

Kewl beans Eric. That flex mount looks like the best generic mount I've seen. When I get my next helmet, I'll give it a try. I'm guessing the tape is going to hold it good, but at first glance I would guess the thin strip wouldn't hold up long with the leverage weight of the camera. BUT, I'm often wrong on these things and am willing to give it a go.

I've never used a chin mount...always have the fear of my camera come flying off lol
I have that fear as well so I check them before and after every ride. You can always add a leash of them as well.
Looks like a great mount! I think you handled the situation well - even if you kept them, the fact that you're up-front about having received the products for free and the company has no control over your review, you're in the clear. Neither mount will work with my half helmet, obviously, so I am not throwing my name in the ring, but future congrats to the winner!

I have precisely one free product I received in exchange for making a review video, and the company literally could not care less how and what type of video I made, so long as I showed how I used it - which I did, for 26 minutes LOL. I was upfront about receiving it for free, and I still use it 1.5 years later, in all my videos.
That's the kind of "paid" [really, gratis] review I like, so that's what I made, and what I recommend. Whether I'm right or not, it's how I do things.
