I think we have about 50 or so days till we are done with the cold here. We are just now getting our "Winter".

Don't even get me started on the medicial/insurance here in the states. Bad thing is half the time the astronomical cost the insurance is charged vs the actual care you get is also unblieveable. Spending 10 hours in the ER and not once seeing a Dr. Or Nurse Practitioner yet still they are charging them insurance for it...... /Rant over That isn't a bad cost when you would probably had to pay out of pocket close to that. Good on them for working with you.

We tried to get our kids interested in riding.... The younger one even had a motorcycle... A little 125 for a bit but she just wasn't interested for long. One of her friends is still riding and racing the dirt track circuit and we love to see her doing that! It's a fun time that she shares with her dad and that's neat to see.

On behalf of all Canadians, I apologize for the ineptitude of our meteorologists in not doing a better job of containing our weather and keeping it north of the 49th. The rumour suggests that a certain amount of potent nog was enjoyed over the holidays, and several scientists let their hair and their guard down, and a cold front escaped, much to the chagrin of our American cousins. Sorry. Even our ruling princeling has been moved to (sort of) offer his resignation in light of the governmental lapse. You can perhaps discern that experience has made me adept at shovelling it. Happy New Year!
