Pre 2000, SNL was a boys club with the female cast members often being relegated to second class status and that was true of the era that Julia was on the show. Post 2000 and with the arrival of Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Kirsten Wiig and then later on with Kate McKinnon, Cecily Strong and Vanessa Bayer finally saw the series view its women as equal. I'd dare say that the women over the last decade have been largely responsible for carrying the show and generating many of the biggest laughs.
Shes just been out here saying she hated being on SNL for so long now, who has the balls to do that!? 😂😂 Of course, she doesnt care, why should she, but still
@@ChieftainHawke Dick Ebersol was in charge of SNL back when Eddie was on. He treated Eddie great. I don't think he treated Julia well. But Eddie had a rift when Lorne was producer later on....which they ultimately reconciled
Clickbait. She didn't say that she hated it, as the title seems to suggest. She just thought it was going to be a romp, like improve at Second City. It's hard work, and not everyone's cup of tea.
@@Danimal77 And that it was a boys' club who didn't really know how to or care to write for women. And they had talented women in the cast besides her--Robin Duke and Mary Gross were good performers who could be very funny, but didn't always get a chance to show off (especially Robin, who was criminally underused).

She's just not wearing as much makeup as you're used to seeing her with. She's looked like this beneath it for a long time I'm sure. And she's still beautiful.

We all love Julia but her bitching about her SNL “nightmare” is total BS. She was a 21 year old kid with no experience om a show that had some really big names. The truth of the matter is that she was lucky as hell to get that gig and in looking back on her sketches she had quite a few more than I had realized. Enough of the ungratefulness Julia. You were lucky as hell to cut your teeth there. Unbelievable attitude
She has a gift for rhyming.
How does this host not know she was on before Will?
Was it "pre-Will"? You thought Will Ferrell was on SNL in the '80s?

She must have had lots of fun in the Romeo and Julia sketch with Don Rickles as Friar Don..

Larry David. Pete Davidson (and yet he keeps going back).
Eddie Murphy as well. SNL treated everybody bad

It's not clickbait. She said that she was miserable.
