Veep was the perfect comedic rinse after an hour of GoT. GoT and Veep was a 2010s 1-2 Punch. And who would have ever imagined that Veep would have a better finale than GoT?!

I love Veep ,never watched GoT ..but the finale of Veep was disappointing. Didnt like the epilogue and the time leap. Ruined the whole thing for me. It should have ended with the scene where she makes a speech right after throwing Gary under the bus. That scene was perfect in so many ways.
This is why she won an Emmy for every single season 🔥
She didn’t win the last season.
I look forward to my memory failing me in old age so that I can watch this gem of a show again for the first time.

As someone who works in politics...all my friends ask if it's like The West Wing or House of Cards...nope. VEEP might as well be a documentary though.
Honestly, I work in the Congress of my country and yes. It's an universal experience, that's why it worked so well when adapted from the original UK version.

@@hugitkissitloveit8640 I mean, it's a sort-of adaptation from The Thick of It and the film they did as a spin-off (in the loop). They tried to do a remake pilot but it didn't work so the creator and some of its writers wrote Veep instead, but even some of the actors are the same.

This work of Julia's was/is her best. Blows away everything she did on Seinfeld. She was allowed to really stretch out as a comedic actress.. Writing was superior as well.
