Two things I noticed in the video. Keep all batteries clean. The dirt on them will leach power off the terminals through the dirt. Only use distilled water in lead acid batteries. Thanks. Steve
Another truck is to use one of the Walmart clear condiment bottles for distilled water. It makes it super easy to add water whenever you need. I use this for our RV, tractor, cars and ATVs.
YES! I brought my Solitude 5th wheel to the DFW location. The rubber roof, camping and getting around in the Rockies, was very easy to damage. This 3/8" sprayed on coating is tough, very tough. Best money I ever spent on my Solitude, hands down. It was actually less expensive than another weak rubber roof!
Great list and tips. We agree about adding fans to absorption refrigerators. It’s really helped our fridge keep an even temperature with no freezing spots.
Any sign of loose edges on the roof sealant indicates possible leak issues. It is best to have the roof redone if it is older. Replacing that sealant as soon as you start seeing dark edges is a must. I hate many of the new RV's have a plastic toilet.
After rv sits for a time un used i always have to run the burner on stove top to get the propane to the fridge, works every time as the stove and fridge are at opposite ends of propane tanks.
@@GratefulGlamper The burner uses way more gas than fridge and when u open valve at burner it purges the air out of the propane line. Thus saves fridge from trying to light forever works for same issue on the furnace
Deep cycle( or golf cart) lead acid batteries should last 5 years. The other comments have great suggestions for battery care. Do use only distilled, not filtered water when needed, and keep them fully charged. If any acid spills on the battery exterior clean it off even if it looks clean. The acid is more conductive than dirt.
Propane seems to be the exact thing for ours, the toilet..... luckily I got 2 new gaskets and the proper lube,it was simple from the top.Tires........5 years on the trailer...Dry rot and crack. Check the date codes..
RE: Propane.... An issue I ran into was a failure to start for my propane-fueled generator. Turned out to be an insect nest in the vent tube for the pressure regulator closest to the generator. Regulators designed for very low pressure MUST have the vent clear of obstructions and open to the atmosphere.
Have you talked about your use of reflective material/insulation in windows and bay doors? We just traveled from Arizona to Iowa and dealt with heat and cold, and definitely need to insulate.
Distilled water is recommended and is readily available at low cost. In a pinch tap water, spring water (as shown) will do. Lead acid batteries have been around for decades, maintaining is the key (as with most things). Happy camping.
I watched this video because of the picture and the black thing you on the end of the hose RV’ers use for toilets. Why was that not even mentioned in this video? 😂
What do you use to scrub the toilet instead of a toilet brush? "Use the right tools: Spray it with the sponsors magic all-purpose cleaning product and wipe with paper towels? Well at least it wasn't because it scratched the bowl.

Use dialectic grease on the terminals too.

Be sure to use distilled water in your batteries!

It's interested how that does the trick! Thanks for watching and for the comment.

These are so good to know!
When filling the batteries in distilled water only!
I just ordered some of the Release. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
I have to save this one. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Happy Easter

Perfect video, thanks...
You're welcome!
A 20 gal propane tank is equivalent to 45000 amp-hours (how many batteries does this equal?). A good reason to use propane for heating and cooking.

If you haven't experienced bugs in the vent tube, you haven't been RVing long.

Yes, we recently did an accessory video and showed how we use Reflectix in the windows: ua-cam.com/video/9BsUFl09gA0/v-deo.htmlsi=hdqqhAktUX5lMmQc
@@GratefulGlamper oh, sure enough, you did. Missed it. Thanks!
FILLING BATTERIES: We installed the Flow-Rite system for our 6 batteries. Super easy to fill batteries with deionized water!!!
Good to know - thanks for sharing!
What does one use to clean the toilet besides the bottle brush?
This silicone tipped brush - amzn.to/3J1cRhd
Anyone know where to get troubleshooting advice? I washed my RV and now got no electric.
Try the at home course from the NRVTA - gratefulglamper.com/nrvta
One more thing. Tissue paper rolls over the top.
LOL I noticed that too
I was thinking the same thing! Lol
What sort of barbarian puts the TP coming out of the bottom? 😂
@@GratefulGlamper The one (barbarian) that can rip it off the roll with one hand. Try it.
Hopefully you used Deionized water in those lead acid batteries! ..Not that i always have tho, ha. 😅
We don't have them anymore - but at the time we only had spring water with us! 🤦🏻♀️

You said you had your roof redone who did it?
We go over that in detail on this video: ua-cam.com/video/JSxfBpEMapY/v-deo.htmlsi=8BPajiK1jPVtUg0e
