Could you get some info from Winnebago? Dimensions of back and slide storage compartments. Thx
I love this RV it's perfect. The way the shower is done, I can't stand for long periods of time, and the shower has a seat in it. Now I can sit, too.
I'm encouraged by Winnebago's out of the box creativity. Of all the floor plans, I still prefer the J model. We seldom put the slide out because it's like a van: walking space and totally functional. There are 2 beds: Dinette into 7 ft long, corner sleeps 2, plus the overhead bunk which we use as storage. About 1yr after buying our 2017, health issues happened And so grateful we have the 2 full-time to beds. The rear view mirror would be awesome; however, we have the optional infotainment center with an 8-in touch screen, so the rear camera is on all the time when driving not just backing up.
love the touchscreen control center. that way, when it breaks, you lose everything at the same time, awesome!
When something is that critical, I like to let it burn in for a couple months, then REMOVE IT and put it away as a spare. I'll either replace it with another new one, or one from a scrapyard, or a rebuilt one from the manufacturer. Same as a spare tire.
A rectangular sink (preferably blk with same finish faucet) would look so much more stylish. That bed pan looking sink clashes against the angles & 90° countertop. Other than the sink, I love the baseball glove color scheme. I wonder if they'll do this in the twin or corner bed floorplan 🤔
Twin bed, no slide, layout would add some valuable pounds to the OCCC which is elsewhere reported as only around 1000 pounds. Slideless layout probably adds 250 to that number and choosing storage over sleeper another 100 or more. If they did a cassette toilet this could be a better off-grid machine with a larger fresh water tank. This is being sold as an all-season big brother to the Ekko, so acrylic dual pane windows should be standard.
Morning! Hope you’re enjoying the show. That is a really cute little unit that covers many hits for fun RVing
Thanks! It’s been a great show so far
We enjoyed meeting you at the show and chatting for a bit! Thanks for the advice on taking kids on the road. Neat Winnebago model!
Love it! Perfect for me!
So glad!
Can't wait to see it tomorrow at the FL RV Supershow! Thanks for showing!
Hope you enjoy it!
so sorry we missed you on this trip
hope to meet you sometime soon
This was a very good review. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
I like it alot!
Great job, I want one!
That floor plan is great if you always nap and sleep at night at the exact same time as your partner
The couch is very comfortable for napping! Thanks for watching
I was thinking about that too? How do you go to bed when your spouse isn't ready? Or vice versa
Walked away from a deal on a View, the build quality at that price point was unforgivable.
People will always something critical to say, but, I’m think that Winnebago did a fantastic job here. Thanks for the video!
So do we! Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching!
Great review . Thank you.
Thanks for watching
Thank you for the video. Do you have a question what is the leadtime on getting one of these? Have you heard that yet? And does Navion make one also in this floorplan
Great video. Like the layout and tech. Great for a couple. Were there seatbelts on the theater seats? Thanks
Yes there are seat belts in the couch. 1 on the AWD and 2 on the RWD
At 25' 6" the Winnebago View / Navion fit perfectly in active lifestyles: full access to BLM, national, state, and county parks; easy to drive and park nearly anywhere; totally self-contained; reliable chassis; at home in the city; requires minimal planning to get on the road. Our 2017 J is fully optioned with everything except auto level and our OCCC is about 1,300 lb... Auto level adds about 300 lb So that's not for us. Tires inexpensive compared to class A ... We run Michelin Crossclimate @ $250ea...Oh and good gas mileage avg ~14.5 but I've seen 16 many times. MB service is expensive; however, changing the oil is the easiest of any vehicle on the market, transmission service @$1,500 is at 40,000 to 60,000 miles. Fuel filter change about 40,000 $200.
Cheaper than service on our Diesel Pusher, LOL
Cool RV and nice tour! I feel like I might prefer a manual bed as opposed to the motor.
Thanks for watching
My question would be if you can do it manually if the motor breaks. Very important.
Watch out for limited CCC and easily over gross. Tow capacity is stated at 5000 BUT with GVW at 11030 you are limited to about 4200 lbs tow capacity (CGVW)
I’m shocked about all the negativity about the Murphy Bed, loss of windows, lack of options for one partner who retires early, etc. It’s 26 feet long folks. Show me another one this small that provides ready to use dining, cooking, and relaxing in independent spaces and allows you to use the bed with the slide in! Biggest issue is these Class B chassis’s don’t offer any realistic payload for extended tours. Two people and personal luggage use up half of what you have to work with! Unacceptable. Wish we could find the same thing with a 450 chassis and real engine!
I love this decor! I wonder if LTV will pick up on this. I missed seeing video of the dining nook. In the quick partial view it looked like a very small table with 2 chairs? Can that table fold down and are there other surfaces or is there a bit more storage there? Thanks for the review!
Yes it’s a table with 2 chairs.
I've had dealers tell me the manufacturers will not warranty using the slideouts when they are in. So not sure if that murphy bed is usable when it is in.
Love this unit. The over the cab sleeping area/storage is nice, so I'm wondering if anyone has a lower bunk conversion at the driver & passenger seats. (fold over and have a sleeping pad for kids) Could that be possible ? Thanks for taking us along~
It very well could be? Thanks for watching!
Ya for the price I would have to go to the bank, win the lottery LOL
What's the CCC? We have a 2020 Winnebago Vita (the budget 'base' version of the View/Navion), corner bed . It doesn't have any fancy digital bells and whistles, but does have solar, but was also nearly half the price. Why do I need to start the generator with my phone? Seems like more things to break. I love the full body paint and the outside storage of this one though. I really like the interior colors and finishes too. We looked at murphy beds, but I think they might be better in concept than in reality. You can't get to the cabinets over the bed either when the bed is up. We use the cabinets over our dinette for pantry and paper goods.
CCC is around 1200 lbs
@@GratefulGlamper That's not too bad for a sprinter! Ours is 1800 but no nice paint and slam latch doors, etc.
It is a MD Sprinter chassis known for their low CCC so what is it for this one?
People get very excited about Murphy beds. With few exceptions I think they are awful. The primary problem is, the only time you have a window is when the bed is folded down. One of the things I loved about our old Navion (Itasca version of the View) was the big windows we could enjoy. So many new RVs have basically cave-like interiors. The Murphy bed arrangement does nothing to help that. I also hope you remember to get anything you need out of those cabinets before you fold the bed up.
As mentioned we came from a 23' Class C Navion. The main downside to the small, single room floor plan is if you and your spouse don't want to go to bed or get up at the same time. That is one of the big drivers for us when we moved to something larger.
Our RV is this size but we have twin beds in the back for just the reason you mention. We like the dedicated sleeping space.
@@karenferraro9212 If we went smaller again I'd definitely go to a floorplan like yours. Winnebago DOES still offer them in the View/Navion. I really like the setup of the Ekko though. The price on new ones is completely cost prohibitive though.
I love having 2 floor plans in one. Bonus of the Murphy bed.
Empty Nester phase coming up? I think you have quite a few years to get to that point 😂
Good morning
Good morning!
Good morning! Hope you're having a great day!
Can you fully extend the recliner when the slide is closed?
yep!
Are there cameras around outside for safety and backing up
Yes there is a rear camera
I’d trade my Class C and road for this. Perfect for me and my cat.🐈⬛
The floor model isn't even on the Winnebago website yet. When are these 24Ts available?
You stay updated on ETA for this one to hit dealer lots here: www.winnebago.com/insider/product/upcoming/class-c/view
Needs more cargo carrying compacity. Especially if you want to use garage
The flooring is like our boat flooring - don’t know what took rv industry so long to use it .
Right!?
HOW MUCH!!!!!
Good Job I like the presentation
Thank you!
So glad we just purchased the 24D with u-shapped dinette...this one is too small for us.
Glad you have one that will work for you!
The 24D is still our preferred plan. This wouldn’t work for us. And i prefer the curves and interior finishing of the last generation.
Biggest problem is the ridiculously low payload availability. A couple of adults, full tanks, and what? - maybe 2-300 lbs of total groceries and kitchenware/groceries. Time to roll out a beefier chassis with some more ground clearance in the rear. This would be a winning class of motor homes if payload and ground clearance were properly addressed. The actual layout is so perfect with every major need supplied without substantive set-up/takedown time. Well done except for my earlier critical shortfalls.
I don't think I'd ever hand clothes in a shower I used daily. I'd keep the bar handy, and use the shower as a wet locker, because nothing beats having a place to hang your soarking wet weather gear.
Hoping they transition that decor to the D model with the midyear change from the V6 to I4 Diesel chassis. Not excited by this model as what I call the either/or living/sleeping space. Partner turns in early (like mine) where do you sit. In the cab, essentially on top of them - and expect feedback about silent keyboard too noisy keeping them awake (speaking from experience)? Sit outside with the mosquitoes? The D is the other murphy bed model with seperate living area when bed is down - but include the comfy seats of this model over the rather stiff sofa.
I came close to buying a 2023 D View last fall.
I liked the setup with the Murphy Bed/sofa setup as well as the twin theater seating. But honestly the sofa was a bit useless as it didn’t feel right - too stiff up & down and not a deep enough cushion to sit comfortably.
To me if it is only a couple (who have been married a long time) this model works.
Mercedes chassis worries me: just inheritently more expensive, not to mention the maintenance and repair of a MB chassis/diesel engine. Too bad it's not available on the Ford Transit chassis.
These days I'd be WAY more concerned about keeping a Ford chassis running than a Mercedes.
Just like Mercedes, many Ford service centers will not work on the Ford Transit RV.
What is the price on something like that
If you go to the Winnebago Website in the description- there is more info including MSRP
HOW MUCH???
Excellent floor plan but it’s not an option until they improve the carrying capacity with two adults there’s only but 500lbs left for gear and forget towing.
I wish they would give up on the MBZ Sprinter. You can't pay me enough to buy one.
Thanks for watching
Nice but it lost me with the Murphy bed. That’s an absolute no go for me As it really limits you with regard to mattresses Plus the Murphy bed blocks the windows.
Diesel drama, the EPA has dealt a death blow with them.
This looks like a stepchild from a LTV/Ekko.
Can that bed be used w/the slide in though?
As for the command center you said it’s BT to your phone so remote access is limited due to BT range no? Or did you mean to say it’s WiFi access as well?
As for the rear view mirror display for the rear camera does it have the ability to be used 24/7 or is it only in reverse and/or under a certain speed..?
Thanks for this review also 😊
The rear view is while the vehicle is on. So you can push the ignition on/off button and see out of the camera. You can also get WiFi and connect to the Winnebago connect remotely as well although some features won’t work this way for safety, for instance, you cannot remotely lower the bed.
Yes the bed can be used with the slide in which is part of the reason we like this unit.
Should have got a Ford! You will find out soon enough.
To each their own, but that murphy bed is ridiculous and a major deal breaker, given how it totally blocks the windows!
Does it have a ladder for the top bunk? Just not sound negative and pessimistic, I’m always wary of new RV’S. I do know Winnebago makes a good product. One subscriber said this really isn’t for long travels?
It really depends on what your travel style is like. Yes, there is a ladder for the top bunk. This View would actually be very comfortable to drive long distances. It all depends on your comfort level and what you want in an RV if you’re talking full-time.
yes, there is a ladder for the top bunk
It looks like it’s only made for 1 maybe 2 ppl and it seems it would be a tight squeeze and then add a dog or cat and 😳 WOW cram city imo I absolutely could be wrong!! Just seems small
Check that OCCC. Units like these of most manufactures I’ve seen in person at shows and on lots have way more seat belts and storage than the capability to carry it. This really needs to be reined in by the government since these manufactures wont do it themselves. Ive seen many units with seat belts for four and enough storage lockers to encourage taking all the toys and things yet have an OCCC of only 500-600lbs. Not only that, but it’s marketed showing a family of four with bikes and such down by the lake. But if you estimate the weight of everything in the brochure, you can see it’s over the OCCC and you haven’t loaded food or water yet.
Aww I hope your not trading yours in because of the stupid campsite that didn’t allow you to stay.. yours is so neat and you have made it “yours” with renovations..
How much can it tow?
I guess a better question is can it tow a small car so you can leave van at campsite?
Yes it does have a 5,000 lb towing capacity
@@GratefulGlamper thank you enjoy the Rv show. We are going full time in December 2024 and our first place is the Tampa show in 2025
@@GratefulGlamperThe hitch is rated at 5000 lb but in reality when you take into consideration the gross vehicle weight and towing capacity your toad limit is less than 4,000lb
Nice but too small. We had a 38 ft. class A and found it too small.
Depends for each person. We travel in a 16’ Airstream, so this is a mansion. lol
Short queen makes me nervous. Will people 6 feet plus fit in this bed?
A lovely motorhome ( RV to our American friends ). Don’t your RVs have cameras and Satnavs as a standard feature, here in the UK most do. I hope you find the one you like when you are ready.
Thanks for watching
Thank you!
Hate to burst your bubble here, but these are good for 1 or 2 people and very short trips, IMO. Having had a MBS Sprinter, very little room, no storage, very low CCCC, tow capacity is limited. And, wait till your first visit at an “authorized” service center. Most often, the dealer who sells this cannot service chassis or engine. And, the majority of Mercedes dealers do not service Sprinter class C’s. We had one for two years and went to a class A for more comfort, storage and overall enjoyment. These Sprinters are a love it or hate it deal. And, take a real hard look at maintenance cost and be sure to bring your first born child with you as part of the payment process.
Exactly!
Yes! This!
Had a View. Just my husband and me. We don’t have a lot of stuff (no bikes). Always up against weight limits. Hard to find service on engine and pricey. After almost 3 years we upgraded to class A. Much happier.
We use the view 24D, works great for 2 adults and 2 small children. This model eliminates the convertible kitchen u-shaped dinet-table which eliminates a bed. Major reduction in capability. I like the gear garage.
Our CCC is 1800 lbs but had to give up a lot of fancy features for that
It’s on a Mercedes’, they are expensive if you run into problems.
Great floorplan. I was excited about it until I saw the price. I'm seeing them listed for $260k-ish. I know that's MSRP but, still, it's way overpriced IMO. It's only 25 feet. I don't see the value.
That price is crazy!
Wish you had shown the dinette area. We have a 2018 D model and while it’s nice that the bed in this T model can be lowered without putting out the slide, I think too much is sacrificed for that ability. We have two wonderfully large windows in our 24D and would hate to have one hidden when the bed is in the up position. Also, there is virtually no counter space in this T model, and that single round sink is rather awful. So, not perfect by any means. *Edited to add - we just watched another video from another channel on this same model. Now I see why you did not show or even talk about the dinette area. It looks like a card table and card table chairs. How on earth could four people eat around that table? And the chairs look like they’d be about as comfortable as our card table chairs. I’m not sure what the designers were thinking on this layout. (These comments are for the folks at winnebago obviously, lol. We enjoyed your video!) 😊
Like the Sprinter Ekko, they should ditch the cooktop and stick a portable induction cooktop in a designated drawer.
Get rid of that pole in the shower and put one of those retractable clothes line.
I wish they would make a View/Navion without a slide. I feel like nobody really wants a slide anymore because they could have issues and if you are traveling the country, you cant always put your slide out when you stop for the night.
First impressions are the worst thing to go by when buying an rv. Manufacturers know that all they need to do is have some fancy paint and flashy gadgets and people will buy. They can hide all the problems behind the walls. Many buyers are intimidated by rvs and don't do adequate research or ask important questions.
Unfortunately I’ve seen too many roof issues n heard many slide issues, and heard zero customer service with this manufacturer. U couldn’t give me a winnebago. The More automation it has the more likely for failure. Cool to look at but quality is not there for me. And the CCC for these things is awful. 🍻
Look at an LTV Unity or Wonder if you like the size. They build the best “B+”/Class C on the market.
All that technology is great, until it leaves you sitting on the side of the road or in a repair shop because it doesn't work. Open slides and awnings don't work well when you're trying to travel, and all those "do it with your phone" gadgets don't work when you have no connectivity. And that bed is a joke.
Thanks for watching
Murphy bed comes down way to fast. The grand kids could get injured.
😅 I thought that too!
I didn’t see your “But”.
Biggest problem: ITS A MERCEDES ! Not what it used to be, in a car or that money pit. Think about how expensive all that plastic will cost you to fix, triple whatever it costs on anything else . Keep researching
She is so pretty
If you deleted all your “like”s, this video would be three minutes shorter😊. “There are like three ways to get into the garage”.
Ya merchis Benz one word junk
Im not fond of this rv at all.
Thanks for watching
