Keep doing your thing. We going to hit that 1mil soon and immediately we get there, 10milli sub won't be a problem anymore because of the amazing work you put in to make the vids interesting and educating
This is really confusing as we are shown 3 types of molds in the video: lead ( aluminum? ), silicone, and machined steel injection molds. It's not clear which is used and when.
@@waterskin7 we live in 2025 ... if u want to sculpt micheangelo do it but i doubt there will be a big market for it... we live in a digital age if u cant use digital software u already lost ...
@@teabagNBG Even in the modern era, people still use traditional techniques like in this video. One way doesn't really replace the other, and I've even seen using both.
It depends on the process. Clay figures make high detail 3d models called a Master. Masters do take a bit of space but can last hundreds of years if stored correctly. Not to mention, any mould created off the master is deemed an "original mould" and sells for much more than "replica moulds," which are made off of the originals. If you're using 3D printing, then you lose that title of master.
3D printing is a very slow process and the resin that is used can be carcinogenic when inhaled. It not suitable for mass producing toys, especially that could end up in a kids mouth. You can get fantastic detail with resin however, so it tends to be used for gaming miniatures, busts and other collectibles aimed at adults.
Nice video but it didn’t get much into the painting process or how they manage to do the color details in the face quickly and efficiently with the mass supply, which is why I’m here
This seems very antiquated given 3D CAD renderings and 3D printing for the prototype outputs. I can literally complete the whole process seen here within 24 to 36 hours from my laptop.
Dude i mean good job, you heart is in the right place, but you just edit a lot of amateurs custom figures process, and other “how toys and plastic are made” video clips, and made a script and use all to give us some idea, i thought i was able to watch an entire toy company process of one figure or collection, anyways thanks for this and go ahead, perhaps one day you’ll able to shot an entire video in some large toy company to show us the real process there is no complete video in nowhere to watch a real process, the few videos about this are so incomplete and short , i suppose that every company has their factory secret thats the only explanation that i guess, I’m a toy designer and I never saw the real process in my life, just my process draw design sculpt made some house made casting and that’s all, the most important part about the creation of the master mold and everything is always like a secret just the engineers matrix makers are aloud to know about, here in Argentina i always wanted to shot the matrix and factory casting process but is forbidden, even is forbidden to watch inside the factory, i suppose in other countries are the same, thats why there is no complete footage on UA-cam about this , thanks fot your vid
also the narrator is talking about toys needing approval so they are kid safe... hello... I thought the video was about designer toys, but now it's also about kids toys and action fiures and also art toys not helpful
I wanted to see how these get painted on a mass scale
did you find out?

Same here lol
Me too. I always wonder how like hot wheels are painted and the homies figurines
in the video , they paint with hand each individual figure.
Interesting video. 👍🏻
I never knew how much work, time, thought, and skill, went into making product's like these.
Well u wouldn't would ya....😂
Nice, thanks. I'd like to see a full documentary on the history of mass produced action figures, design, factory and packaging process.
amazing. people with such skills are just amazing!
the hard work is respectable

Wow! This is an amazing video !
A very in depth description of toy making🪆!!
@1:23 *no human hand was burnt in the making of this video*
This was intoxicating.
Wait, is that Dr Garuda? The drawing style and clay sculpting looks just like him!
i think nowadays most sculpters use zbrush or blender ...
How?
obviously not most , not only is zbrush difficult but many toy artisian are too late to change from using clay to a wacom stylus

Can we create same/similar figurines using 3d printer?

Me too
Me three. I figure the mass production gets them a bunch of units in a base color but they can't possibly be hand painting them all. Right?
Your vids ar very interesting and educating.
Cheer~~~a statuette, especially one of a human form.😊
Great video. Would love to see this process from start to finish with the same figure all the way through.
In what place

and now you know why the pricetags go up to 1000$ per figure...
it should go down in fact ,seeing how quick the injection molder punches
@@waterskin7 If you have a mold and a series yes. but anytime something changes this whole thing needs to be adjusted to create a new mold
Does anyone know where i can find the Mr. Mooch from the Skrumps vinyl figurine?
🔥🔥🔥
So cosclay also part of pvc clay?

Why are some of those clips at the beginning from the news?
