Hey Crafsman! I'm a high school teacher. I shared this video with one of my art teacher colleagues, and she was impressed. Here's what she said: "This guy is really cool. It is important that I expose AP Art and Design students to contemporary artists, what inspires theses artists and how they create from their idea. This fits right in. I think I will use this as one of the videos that I show my students." I thought you might want to know that your work is finding its way into our school and helping our students. Your attention to detail reminds me of my grandpa. He was a pattern maker for many years, and his meticulousness certainly came through in his craft projects. I don't think he ever said, "eh, close enough." He trimmed, shaped, and sanded until it was just right. One of his crafts was making little wooden kittens that he would sell at craft fairs. He built them and I painted them. Those were good times. :-)

I’m honestly so happy to have come across this video. I have been wanting to sculpt for a while now and it’s been oddly hard for me to find videos on it, let alone going all the way through the process with no speed-through. I really appreciate and enjoy this and your voice is the cherry on top! Very calming!! Excellent content all the way around, sir.
Danielle, I'm so happy to read your comment this morning! It's rewarding for me to see this. Thank you for checking it out, and I hope you do get into sculpting! Don't freeze up when you approach it - just let loose and plan on making mistakes. Have fun! :D
Watch it before, and found it interesting. Found it again and I'm happy to see it.
Thank you very much! Sculpting is daunting, especially trying to figure out how to make toys, and your step by step instructions really helped put me at ease and helped me to just play with the clay!
Excellent video. Fantastic that you showed many drawings & how relaxed you are about the process & admitting mistakes. I think anyone would be inspired to try sculpting after this ! Love how you described asymmetry! That chicken is fantastic.
Such a nice comment, Margaret! I'm so glad you found my channel, and hope you continue to enjoy what I do! :D
Stumbled across this randomly... I've been sculpting off and on for nearly 4 years now and know the toy making process quite well.... But somehow you make it all so captivating!
And your character design is fantastic, this concept genuinely made me chuckle!
Subscribed!!
Wow... this means so much coming from someone with experience in that area. Thank you!
I just love your narrative!!!!
I love this guy. He's so pure...
Very cool project. Love your video style. Very entertaining and kept me glued to the screen waiting for the next step.
More steady brilliance from the CrafsMan!
Aww yeah, Daniel! Thank you for watching, my man!
This was seriously exactly the video I needed to see before trying this out for the first time. I must have watched like 15 others that didn't show the process from start to finish!! Cheers!
These videos have made me smile more than most things have lately
Love how you recycle your accessories for the sculpture, I go foraging for accessories for my sculptures!
Wonderful
I feel like I almost HAVE to mix me some old parts in for accessories. :) Thank you for watching!
My man! Thank you for posting this. I do a lot of toy design myself and I've been sorta stuck in a sculpting rut and this definitely helped a bit!
You don't understand how inspiring you are! Thankyou and keep it going!
OMG I just realized crafsman is the Mitch Hedberg of crafting channels, and now I can't unhear it!
I don't usually comment on videos nor do I click on any video that is longer than 7-9 mins. But I clicked on yours and I watched the entire thing without fast forwarding. Thankyou for this. This is very generous and I think you're a cute man with a big heart. Plenty of love from India! ❤️❤️❤️
Wow. That means a LOT to me. For real - super encouraging. Thank you for taking time to not only watch my video, but to leave this delightful, encouraging comment. :D
I can’t wait to buy a space chicken from your Etsy shop.
That excites me! Thank you for the interest! :D
Amy D fudging space chicken sounds so amazing lmfao
I'm really enjoying you're crafs. That smooth whisper is legendary, and I'm inspired to make some stuff!
Love the channel - really creative and relaxing
I like both of your work, your voice and your dialog. It gives me some good relaxing ASMR. 😴
And your dialog reminds me of Boss Ross. 😌
17:53 The Lemonhead part gave me a nice laugh!
Love how you add those little gems in your videos.
Keep up the great work!
*thumbs up*
:D So glad you liked that part!
My six-year-old loved this! It's so hard to find good content that's both entertaining and informative. Thank you
