- And so, we find ourselves at the first press drive of the brand new 2025 Audi S3 Sportback facelift. Dressed here in Daytona matte grey and black optics. Front is identical with this grill as A3 S line, with prefacelift they put badge and different grill to S3 and A3 sline
and that's the reason why I ordered new S3 with chromo package. You can't get it for A3 :D
The prefacelift S3 8y has a more aggressive front

Don't like how the rear 'S' logo is the new style but all the other places (steering, seats, door sill frame, etc..) still got the old style.
Like the car. Unfortunately the wheels do not do it justice. Will the Akrapovic exhaust be offered in the UK? The inside still looks a bit plasticy compared to the 8v model. Especially for a car with a few extras costing over £50k+. Interesting what the new Rs3 has to offer when it arrives.
Is there pops and bangs on the overrun ? On the 8Y S3 if your in gear maybe 2nd gear. Hard acceleration to about 4k rpm and you let go it does it. Does this one still do it ? That was one of the secrets of the 8Y S3. Oh and it sounds better once it’s warm.
Who also feels like yanking the Audi badge from the engine cover and just putting onto that grill.

Is the wagon version available in the USA? This seems like a great option for people (like me) who love the RS3 but think it's too expensive, this is a nice middle. I really like it!

As much as the new badge font / lack of front badge IS annoying. I will be placing an order on May 15th, sportback either in Ascari blue or Glacier White. Decisions!
The first thing you have to do is get the badges for the front and remove that ugly a@& rear badge and replace with the old

@@enekmartinyeta1215 i ordered the current version last Oct and took delivery at the end Mar, I’m so happy I didn’t wait, this looks like an s line a3, the Akro exhaust is an extra as is VC plus, they have done some serious cost saving on this car and it shows, what’s going on Audi? Are we still paying for diesel gate?
Sounds better inside through the speakers than the dull tone outside😢
from what I know its not because of speakers but membrane that is mounted next to the engine
Facelift an the back, ok. Facelift at the front, no. And it´s not only because oft the missing badge.
I also think not only the s models will loose front badge, but rs models too

So this "S3" is as powerful as the B8 Supercharged S4, but weighs less and has a drifty diff. Should make for one heck of a RS lite. However, I'm not loving the design. It doesn't look "s-like". Perhaps that's down to the missing S badge.

Without the front S3 badge I don't think this car will sell alot at all esp at the new price point, it's a small thing but makes all the difference and could have saved this car
Affreux. A ce prix la! Les jantes, le plastique intérieur et mm le surplus de plastique extérieur c'est vraiment moche et jsui pro audi. Mais là ça devient de plus en plus moche. S3 faut arrêter avec ça aucune utilité !!

I really wonder what's going on in their HQ, the decisions just don't make sense.
The colour is great, I have a 2023 Daytona grey S4, but it's not matte.. The lack of an S3 badge on the front of the car is such a ridiculous decision of the part of Audi, it's really hard to rationalize what the hell they were thinking? Also, why is the S3 disconnected from the flag logo on the back of the car? Why the hell would they do that? Honestly, I don't know what they're thinking, but as someone who's owned Audis for over 20 years, I think they're making some major mistakes with the badging. Also, the constant use of cheap plastics in the interiors, please stop! I can't stand all the piano black crap in my S4. Lastly, the move towards touch-screens for everything, has a single Audi engineer tried to use the touchscreen while driving on some of the roads in Canada and the US? Not only is it difficult because of the constant jostling about, it's borderline dangerous. The click-wheel was a way better solution. Touch-screens suck.

Good thing aftermarket companies exist because throwing the S3 badge on is an easy fix even though nobody should have to worry about having to buy that to begin with. Not sure what audi was thinking

Looks so much like the first generation A45 AMG. The front and side profiles just don’t do it for me, as a previous owner of three generations of the S3 this one does not do it for me.
The problem is the infotainment system, it looks cold and detached, no color or mood, just black, white and red.

Inconsistency No.1, Grill, why A3 allstreet still comes with the old one?
Inconsistency No.2, Flat four-ring badge, why other parts like engine cover still using the old (aka the prettier) one?
Inconsistency No.3, S badge, removed from grill, using the new separated one on the back, but still using the old (aka the cooler) one on steering wheel, seat and door projector light
Also, removing the checkered flag digital DRL (and repurpose that part into high beam?) is just awful.
The new light signature DRL also worse than the old checkered flag. If you want go gimmicky, then at least go full-on gimmicky not some half baked over engineered junk.
8L is cute, 8P and 8V PFL are beautiful, 8V FL and 8Y PFL are okayish, but this? Oh dear.😱

At this point Audi should get rid of the s3. I'm sorry, but this is just completely pointless. We've got the a3, rs3 - which is incredible and what's the point of an overpriced Golf R, with cheap materials, wearing the 4 rings? Meh

S3 is for someone who wants extra performance from A3 but less aggressive design like RS3.
Just like BMW they have 330i, M340i and M3.
Why would you get rid of a bridge car like this???? The jump from a $30K A3 to a $70K RS3 is ridiculous-
I bought mine just because of that-my S3 fit nicely between my Passat and my Camaro SS....
I've modded it slightly to get 390 hp out of it and I LOVE my little Pokemon....
