      Urkel Grue Ikr? I had bad assumptions about her at first because I thought she coattailed her way into the fashion industry, but when I started actually seeing her in interviews and looking at her collections a lot more my views entirely changed.

    At the end of the day, her clothes are well made and absolutely beautiful. Her handbags last a lifetime, I've worked retail and have been selling Stella McCartney handbags for over 5 years, and hers are the one brand that I don't think I have ever sent out for a repair. If it looks good, feels nice, and lasts a long time, then why does it matter what it's made of? Especially if it's more environmentally friendly.

    I love Stella McCartney.. she's opening up a topic that is so passionate for us that refuse to buy fur, makeup that's animal tested, leathers, etc. when there is no reason to. she's proved that the fashioned minded person can still look top model cruelty free. Love yah Stella!!

    Paul and Linda did such a tremendous job raising Stella, all their kids! Hands on parents 24/7, out of their limelight. She’s very much her own person, incredible designer, she was destined for greatness not because of her parents, but because she is so much her own person. I love that her line is for women of all sizes. That says a lot about her.

It just seems that with her exemplary fashion sense and power, she could reach out to more women who love her style and products. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

      It is very important that her brand is luxury, because it serves as an example that luxury does not require torture and killing of animals. Otherwise, luxury is associated with animals - leather, suede, fur, cashmere, wool. And all those things entail abuse and eventual killing of animals.

      To imply that veganism is better than vegetarianism won't make anyone want to convert. And vegan diets are not sustainable long term nor do they have the health benefits you love to throw in everyone's face. I think it's wonderful to not want to harm animals or use them in any way, but to say that you get all of the vitamins you need, like B vitamins, which you can only get from a specific algae but even then it's not a complete meal nor do you get the same absorption of those vitamins. I think being vegan is great, but to tell people that is the correct diet is dangerous, people have very different genetic makeups. I have been vegan, and I understand what my body needs and wants and honestly, especially with all of the vegan videos on UA-cam, you guys make it look like a cult. Which many x vegans have talked about, and how striving to look emaciated is the norm. I am vegetarian and I breastfeed and my body feels fully sustained, I immediately felt ill trying to be vegan and breastfeeding even with supplements. There's nothing wrong with being a vegetarian and being a vegan is no better.

    • @TheScarletRanger
      @TheScarletRanger 8 років тому +12

      lol what? the person was extremely polite about it, and to briefly address your post yes you can get everything you need from a balanced vegan diet, and yes ethically veganism is better as you dont support the killing of cows and chickens for dairy and eggs :)

    • @AaliyahLeveau
      @AaliyahLeveau 8 років тому +4

      You're assuming that every person can get the nutrition you need, show me the actual scientific evidence, because everything I've read and when I was vegan showed that b vitamins are clearly lacking, and I don't think you understand how the absorption of vitamins in your body works, especially iron, considering there are so many different types as well. I am vegetarian and feel very balanced, I don't go around telling people to be vegetarian or that it works for everyone. Veganism as a concept is wonderful but does not play out of the majority of the world. It's truly orthorexia. Why don't you look that up. You guys all make it sound like a fucking cult lol and no I don't eat eggs or meat so you're fucking point is moot. I also weight lift and am training to be a yoga teacher,it's really not plausible to gain the muscle you need and feel the vitality you want without the most necessary vitamins. plus Im going to throw this out here for you, youre talking about it being better for the environment, the predominance of the fruit that you buy is not local even from this country and the practices to grow those fruit aren't economicaly stable. I'm really sick of the same arguments, you guys never have any evidence it's really sad. I'm so sick of Vegans too having to tell everyone they're fucking vegan, god damn, as filthy frank would say "nobody gives a shit"

    • @TheScarletRanger
      @TheScarletRanger 8 років тому +5

      b 12 is naturally present in some mushrooms and soil, from which a vegan b 12 supplement can be made. i actually know a lot about my own diet and have absolutely no concern regarding iron. iron is plentiful and able to be absorbed in many vegan foods. i never told you to be vegan, no need to be so defensive. veganism and orthorexia are completely different, i have no idea why you would compare those? (veganism being a lifestyle to reduce harm to animals/ impact on the earth) perhaps you are suggesting that people who follow a plant based diet (different from veganism as plant based diets are dietary only and come from a health concern rather than an ethical concern) are in some way orthorexic? either way it's a misguided notion. nothing i said makes it sound like a cult, i simply pointed out that veganism is perfectly healthy and better for the environment. my point is that meat eggs and dairy are cruel (which they are) and even if i was to fly my fruit and veggies all the way from the other side of the world (which i don't, i shop predominantly at farmers markets) it would still have less impact on the earth regarding emissions than producing meat/dairy/eggs, not to mention the cruelty side of it. that's great that you weight lift and do yoga but not sure how it's relevant...Veganism has plenty of evidence behind it and has helped so many people change their lives for the better, not to mention the animals lives. no one is forcing their beliefs onto you, someone simply commented 'LOVE the VEGANISM!' on a video about ethical fashion and you got extremely aggravated. your anger and defensiveness suggests a lack of security in your own decisions. no one in this thread has been rude or unreasonable other than you

      you could say that, but the only way to stop these people being used is by taking back the means of production, and the way to do that will never be to expect the people who profit of the workers to kindly give their power away. So yes technically you could blame her, but it's unrealistic to believe that she would change anything

    Why on earth anyone would accept leather or animal fur in this industry these days is utterly stupid and ignorant. So people like Stella are an important influence in such a competitive and fast moving world that doesn't always think about these things.

  • @patricias5122

    I love it that she does not kill animals for accessories. Big however: making handbags out of vinyl, even high quality vinyl, just fills up the landfills. Fake fur is polyester, which does not biodegrade.These materials just end up polluting the Earth. Many of them actually end up in the oceans.

    Yeah.. About ADIDAS, we all know they use sweatshops. So Stella, please stick with the "ethical" production - with both humans & animals. You're a great designer, but it's inexcusable to use sweatshop labor. You're in a real position to do some good & there's a responsibility there.
    Amazing how they just glossed over that part & even touted it!

    I admire her for questioning the norm, take the stance in what they believe in and make the effort in making it happen. Don't get me wrong. Yet, I think we have to have a more nuanced view when labelling something as "cruelty free" or whatever. The next necessary question regarding her "cruelty free" product is: "But is it really?" -- It might not have killed an animal for its skin/fur, but what are the production processes and disposals of the products like? Are there toxic substances used or released in the air/water/soil? Because if so, I'm sorry: not using leather or fur is just moving from one form of cruelty to another.

    It is not true. The production of 1 Falabella doesn't cost more than 50usd. Stella sells one piece for about 800-1200usd. She just sells her father's name, thats all. I like the Falabella models a lot but they are just not worth that much. Not even 1/10 of the price. Stella is a good business-woman, a gen from her father. Thats why they get along so well..character-wise.

    Charges a fortune for her clothes. Her mother’s vegan food is still sold under her name although she died years ago and her father is worth a fortune. What gives these greedy people the fight to preach to people who can’t afford her prices.
    My granddaughter went on a trip around different countries to research how fast fashion was made and when she returned to her home in Glasgow she started up her own business making slow fashion. She doesn’t charge a fortune, she can’t afford to have stuff made in bulk and the profits that she does make, she donates a percentage either to a mental health charity or Help for Heroes. She is not a vegetarian, she buys local organically produced products and she doesn’t call animals “babies”. She is 28 and works hard in hospitality so that she can afford to name her slow fashion. She is far more admirable than any McCartney.
