Take the restaurant, block up half the windows, add it to the back of the tire center and it would make a good modern fire station. That is if the bays are big enough. Interesting design.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the 3D printing videos. Have you done a segment on making the brick pattern, I didn’t find it on your channel. I liked to try an HO brick wall on my Mars Pro and your pattern looks like a good starting point.

I love bloopers! Also love that you're making money for your hobby by selling 3D printed structures! I'd love to do that with my Cricket, but haven't done anything with it yet! You could make HO scale tool boxes, tire racks, tools, air compressors and about any detail part and sell them?

I have now purchased virtually every one of the building series and must say they are wonderful. My latest receipt was a 3 pack of the row houses and I'm awaiting building #6 to arrive. I have two minor suggestions - first on all store front doors it would be helpful to open them the same way you do the other windows. Most store fronts would have glass in their front doors. I have been opening the window areas myself but it's a bit of a pain. For anyone desiring to have a solid door with no glass they could easily glue in either card stock or thin styrene.
My other suggestion is for the new oil and tire center. Having the raised lettering does not seem to be a feature to me. Full disclosure, I will not be purchasing that building as it doesn't really fit within the city scene I am building but I would imagine that an average modeler would want to add a business sign of their choice whether that be a modern quick lube such as Tire Center, Jiffy Lube, etc. or a private named business such as Billy's Auto. Having raised lettering would require removal of the lettering prior to applying a different sign.
Please keep creating new buildings. You're doing a terrific job. Dave

That is a great building. It would be neat if you could make the block detail on the inside walls too. I wish you could do it in ho scale. I'd very much like to have one. All your buildings are very nice.

Where did you get the brick templet that you used?
Filming tip: to get everything in the close-up shots in focus, use a camera f-stop like ~f/16.
I definitely would, but I can't pump enough light in my shop to make f/16 work and I shoot on panasonics which are not the greatest in low light. One of my channel upgrades for this upcoming year will hopefully be to migrate to Sony since their low light and autofocus are unmatched at the mid tiers.
The software is very similar to Sketchup. Can a Sketchup file be used with your 3D printer?

That's a nice building and accessories, but it needs lifts to raise the cars.

I'm just thinking of getting back into model RR after a long hiatus. I'm now in the middle of the N Pacific Ocean (Hawaii) and shipping to here either takes forever, or is expensive if not Flat Rate USPS. Have you considered selling your files so that one could print themselves. I am very aware that the work is in the design and not in the printing so I would suggest maybe 75% of spoiled print cost.
I looked up your patron site and unless they are in the high tier I did not see and designs.

Why did you speed the video up?
Why does the tire shop walls look warped when you show it up close? The base looks warped as well. Just curious. Also, did you design the brink template for TinkerCAD or was that something you found online? And if you found it online, can you tell me where you found it. Never seen a template like that before. Thanks.
So the print was the first print and it warped slightly printing. That's a support issue and it's one thing that is part of my finalization process before I sell. I actually made the brick template in tinkercad myself and downloaded it as an stl so I can load it in any time. I also know the scale so I can adjust for different scales.
It's both a support issue, but more a resin problem. These resins do shrink as they cure and 'dry' out over time. The thicker the cross section, the more warpage that will result. Thick walls like these are going to warp. That's just a fact of life. If you heat them up in hot water, you can bend them back and further so when they do cure they might be mostly straight. Making the walls much thinner and reinforcing with styrene afterwards will help a lot.
But just get used to it. These resins are not meant to be used in this way so we have to accept their limitations.

Resin is almost always going to beat a filament printer for detail and quality.

You're running into limitations of 3D resin printing. Unless you go for the very expensive engineering resins, then what you have there will shrink and distort over time after curing. It's a fact of life and it takes a lot of work to prevent it. Can't have solid walls as you're doing since that actually encourages and makes it worse. You can go with hollowed out backs of the walls and then add styrene to reinforce it afterwards. Hot water will help soften the resin walls and let you clamp them into straight sections again. Figure you're going to spend several hours per structure fixing the issues. Keep that in mind in your costs as your structures will have to be increased dramatically in prices if you account for your time involved. Either that, or keep them cheap, let them warp and include instructions on how to help fix these issues.
Chooch Enterprises had similar issues with their resin castings. It's not the printer, it's the material that is the problem. Just the nature of the product. You will get warpage. You just have to know how to plan and account for it.
