Great video. I've been urban sketching people out and about in your loose style. Today I tried to loose sketch from photos. It boggled my mind a bit. But I got there in the end. And I have a new grey pen! (I hope the community here can understand my excitement lol).
This is such a useful tutorial. I'm coming from watercolor painting to working with line and wash and wanting to develop a more sketchy loose style. Love your approach.
I love your style of loose painting and videos. I can copy your demos with some sort of success , but I can't get my mind to "react" (if this is the word) in a carefree mode like you do. I guess I have to keep traying and traying and traying... I shall see, and In the mean time thank you very much
Thank you so much. This was very helpful. I've been trying to work out my courage to be loose and less accurate my entire life. Your video really helped me believe this is approachable. Love it!
Love your style & strive to be loose like that - it’s not easy but I’m progressing - I think. Really appreciate the time & effort you put forth to allow others/me to learn🙏
May I ask which ink you use in your pen as permanent ink? Warnings about the clogging that occurs and the frequency of pen washing required have so far put me off using it in my pen despite the lesser fluidity and the need to maintain an almost perpendicular hold on a micron. Thank you for your videos...always inspiring with at least one tip each time. I keep a page specially for those tips and it has become a regular reference. Rita

I tend to vote for idiocy 😂. Only joking! I’m not sure whether I can view community tabs on my device. I think it only works on mobile phones. But I’ll check :)
@@TobySketchLoose Hi again! I checked your community tab on my mobile. Your name change seemed very intuitive to me and I gathered you made because your painting style reflected this channel more. Personally I prefer UrbanSketch, but that is just a personal preference; I completely understand the reasons and thought behind SketchLoose.
Love how you explain and describe everything as you go.
Thank you!
