One has to be mindful of the body’s proportions while drawing the movements you observe. Please do more of these ‘people in public’ drawings-you offer great suggestions. Thank you…

I've found paying attention to negative space helpful to capture moving figures quickly :) a lot of information about their pace and posture in how long a stride is or how close their arms are held to their torso

This is an important exercise for any artist- being able to capture the essential gesture of a moving figure is such an advantage when working from life, or even from imagination. This lesson is taught in some of the large animation studio internship programs, so any artist working with figures, sequential art or animation should give this a try. Thanks!
