In person the limited and blue dial are super nice. Yes it’s 39.5mm but doesn’t look too small on my 7in wrist. I personally loved it and purchased the limited one from an authorized shop. They offered it to me below msrp and it was a no brainer. I would’ve bought the blue dial but I have a 68 “save the ocean” reinterpretation from last year that’s the exact same bezel and dial and it would just look like I was wearing the same watch. With that being said the watch really is nice and I do get the criticisms but it’s by far with the GS movement a notch above the rest.
The video doesn’t mention that this model has a super hard coating on the stainless steel, which I think is a big benefit! To be honest, this is a tricky price range because this watch is overqualified to be a beater, but makes me wonder whether I should save up for a Grand Seiko
Hello from Howard County! I am wearing my Sumo Blumo SBDC033 with a Strapcode bracelet. The watch is very comfortable to wear and has excellent finishing. This version has the 6R15 movement in it and is accurate to + - 10 spd.
The marinemaster is typically in conversation is used for the mm300. The marinemaster was first originally used on a completely different watch, (A quartz tuna Seiko) so people are actually wrong for complaining about seiko using marinemaster on this watch.
Curious about accuracy of 6L vs 8L? I dig the thinner models, but IMHO the true MM300 these days is the LX SNR043 on my wrist, spring drive (bomb proof and atomic accuracy), light Ti 100g on band, and best lume of any Seiko diver 😉
Dang right! Haha. Its a tank! Love that line. I am getting this watch too thougg as my beater. I hear the 6L is just a little badass 8L movement. Even credor uses the movement so its definitely high quality!
Time to get the old MM if you can. This is a bit pricey but an open case back. Got the SPB183 Willard on the wrist. Looking frwd to see the new website.
I think it’s a decent price. Would be better at 2,100 imo, but I would recommend just waiting to buy it in a year or two from now. I got a limited edition sje083 for $1500. It was used but it looked brand new. The 6L movement is as great as many people claim it is so it’s worth the money. More accurate than my Propilot x. I only prefer this over the Grand Seikos because GS makes big case sizes and I have smaller wrist. I really wish Grand Seiko made their watches in various sizes. I’m curious to know what other alternatives are recommended? I know Tudor black bay is mentioned a lot at around this price range, but what else is out there? (Preferably in the 39mm size and below)
Unfortunately just about every Seiko is now very expensive, a special or limited edition or some re-creation/re-imagined watch from 50 years ago. Plus as we all now their QC simply sucks.
This is such a disappointment Chris . Nothing beats the MM300. Seiko is seriously going in the wrong direction with this one . I hope Seiko doesn’t discontinue the original MM300 .

Thanks for the great vid! Was great to meet you when I got the black dial version a few days ago!
My pleasure and congrats again on your new timepiece. Great to meet you as well!

I own the SBDC033 Blumo as well. I have mine on the stock bracelet with a Marine Master clasp. To me it’s the perfect Seiko diver 👍🏻
Wearing my SRQ049 today. I like the yacht deck dial, the date location and I’ll have to try the bracelet. Why do people despise the Prospex logo?

You can get one here! littletreasury.com/
I still prefer the 62mas models.
Hey, is it a ceramic bazel or scratch resistant? Thanks!

Propilot x is a great watch, but youre right about seikos 6L movement being better. Seikos in-house movements are very great though.

Seiko fan here. But at 2800.00 it's priced just too high.
I'm not sure that's a real Marinemaster!
I'm wearing my 6138 UFO on a Stelux bracelet.
Marinemaster logo on a wrong watch and wrong place. Prospex logo and 4 o'clock date window. ill pass on this one.

This watch is amazing. Go buy an skx
@@ShortLifeHax 😂 I did recently buy an SKX lol 😂
$2800 for a trash bracelet, an unsigned crown and an afterthought of a date window. No thanks
Bracelet is actually one of the best stainless steel bracelet Seiko has ever made.
