- This tribute video (January 8, 2015) was made In Loving Memory of Steve Clark of Def Leppard and his Rock Star Style by Lorelei Shellist, who was his fiancée. They met in Paris when she was a fashion model, and were together 1983-1990. In this video, Lorelei shows many of Steve's favorite jackets and styles that she helped design. At the end, Lorelei explains that she started the Shellist Music Memorial Scholarship in memory of Steve Clark and Musicians. Proceeds from Lorelei's book, "Runway RunAway: A Backstage Pass to Fashion, Romance and Rock n' Roll," go toward this scholarship fund. There are very few women that date-marry members of rock bands that are initially genuine, that have tremendous hearts and have visions of actual true love instead of the value of a dollar, I watched the video Hysteria: The Def Leppard Story, out of all the things that took place within that terrible time frame Steve's story truely stood out, As a music lover and a fan of the bands, I think I speak for The band, the fans, and friends when I say thank you for standing by Steve and for being such a wonderful woman and for loving him and not the money, there is a very special place in heaven for you and you are already a angel! What an amazing woman!
I love her happiness of talking about her and Steve back in the day.
Steve Clark was an amazing guitarist and deserved more recognition than he seemed to of got, I absolutely love def leppard and Vivian is a great guitarist too but a part of that band lost its edge when Steve sadly died.
Hysteria is an album I can listen to and never get bored of and that's thanks to Steve!
One day I will make it to his gravestone and pay my respects to the legend!

Thank you very much for sharing this great video for us the great fans of Steve Clark for me it is an honor to have seen this video I can not deny tears came to my eyes because for me it is a great memory and a lot of nostalgia. Incredible great guitarist and great human being just like you too. I am a musician drummer by profession. My first Def Leppard concert was at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum on San Juan Puerto Rico Island 1988. I was basically in front of Steve on the big stage of the Hysteria tour. It was an honor to meet him from the stage. Then it was DL for the Coliseo de Puerto Rico 2016 where I had the honor of working with their production. It was a nice experience.
I'm so glad I came across this, I've been a huge Def Leppard fan all my life, Steve has always been a hero of mine, after all these years I've finally had the courage to revisit his last couple if years to confront my own struggles with Alcohol, it's helped me clear a path to sobriety, Never forgotten x
I can feel from this video just how much you loved Steve. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

This is sooooo awesome! I've loved Def Leppard since I was five, andI'm forty now. :) Armgeddon It is my favorite song because Steve's name is part of the lyrics. Pure talent and completely gifted. you are such a lovely person i think you did so many beautiful things for Steve and i am happy he had a positive person who was there for him.he was such a wonderfully talented guitarist now that im older and wiser i really appreciate Def Leppards music i just wish he was still here.but many of us will always be true fans and support the music and memories forever.

Steve Clark was one of the reasons I picked up playing guitar. I still get the same goosebumps every time I hear one of the songs he wrote. Thank you for standing by him during his life. And thank you for sharing your stories and items of his. God bless and long live Steve Clark.

I miss Steve Clark so much!.....Def Leppard lost it's heart and soul when he died...they were never the same after his passing...I like that he was a "soul player"....no technical stuff..just play from the heart!

steve was such an inspiration to me to play guitar. i trained myself to have my guitar low. i tried my best to play like he did. i have been getting his guitars epiphone i cant afford gibson just need one more. i have been having fun doing them. i wonder if he ever knew how he was admired for his music he did. what a incredible musician. for the fans out there he will never be forgotten.

Whenever I hear the adage that “the flame that burns twice as bright burns half as long”, my mind instantly goes to Steve Clark. Never has a musician radiated pure passion, love of the art, and energy the way he did. I’m genuinely blessed to have been able to see the band while he was still with them, as they never seemed to fully recover from the loss. Though I love everything Def Leppard has ever done, the records they delivered with Steve are, without a doubt their finest. Especially the sonic cathedral that is “Hysteria”. And through those recordings, he is immortalized. Thank you for sharing this with the world, Ms. Shellist!
And guys please never forget all musicians gone like Jani Lane, Lemmy, Dio, John Entwistle, Shannon Hoon, Cliff Burton, Bon Scott, etc.

I am just watching this video for the first time today. Def Leppard were the first rock band that inspired me to pick up a guitar in elementary school and I have taken that inspiration to become a lifelong musician as well as an educator (I'm 37 now!). Thank you so much for making this video, it was so exciting to see and hear about Steve's amazing fashion and stage appearance. He was an amazing showman and growing up I watched the live in the round video hundreds of times, marveling at his virtuosity. He was a true inspiration and I was lucky to live in his time!

Steve was what made Def Leppard that Def Leppard. DL's been different ever since, they still own their, but Steve's creative input is sorely missed. RIP Riffmeister, thank you for the memories.
Thank you for sharing this with us! Steve Clark was my all time favorite from Def Leppard. I was sadden to hear when he left us. I was and still am very grateful to have seen DL in 1987 for the Hysteria tour in Houston, Tx. The BEST concert I've ever seen!! Next to Journey (80's)!!
I wasn't born until late 1992 and always tell my mom that I should have been her sister instead of her daughter so I could have been alive for this great music when it came out. I am a huge fan of the band and Steve's - I used to sneak my parent's Hysteria cassette tape when I was little and listen to it on my stereo so much that the tape was on the verge of wearing out. I just saw the band in concert a few weeks ago and it was amazing - a dream come true! It would have been absolutely fantastic if I was alive back in the 80's to see Steve play. Love the part in this video where you talk with an accent like Steve - so cute! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Hey Lorelei my son is a huge fan of Steve and he would like to be like him some day and he wishes for you to be happy and he misses Steve so much that when he gets his first guitar he will play it like Steve but he has long hair like def leppard in 1983 and 1988 and he needs some support from every def leppard fan for a Steve Clark performance tribute to Steven Clark the other half of the terror twins

this was great to watch Lorelei! I have something to share with you. Back in the 80s, when Pyromania just came out, I was a 6th grader with the "mullet" (although I never knew it was called that)...I heard this funny little song by this young British rock band called Def Leppard- "Rock of Ages"!!! From there I was hooked. I loved their sound, Steve's soulful playing, and how Phil's flashy chops played off him. I also was fascinated with the Union Jack. At the same time, I began collecting hats and bandanas. One of my most prized hats was a painter-style hat with a Union Jack and two white tails hanging off the back. You may or may not remember them, being in the fashion industry. For some reason, I got rid of it and a few other "hats with tails" I collected.
I recently thought of it and tried to find one, to no avail. Perhaps you can help? For whatever, I thank you in advance. Keep up your happy spirit! (Bringin' On The Heartbreak playing in the background)

I voted every night to get def leppard into rock n roll hall of fame 2019,i did for steve because he should in there .I bet you are excited about it,i was unhappy about joe saying steve wouldnt be bothered if he was alive today,of course he would.!You have some of greatest stuff of steves and your time together take care shaz from the east mids in uk.
i loved steve but i wasnt born till 1992 my mom and dad meet at def leppard gig on the hysteria tour was brought up on def leppard

Steve is missed greatly. Steve not only had mad fashion but his writing ability was insanely unique.

Long Live White Lightning!!! Thank you Lorelei for sharing this tribute video. I appreciate you sharing such awesome artifacts with us. I especially love the personal backstories of each item. I had no idea you created his stylish/iconic clothes. Such amazing work and craftsmanship. I wish I knew about this video earlier too. I would have lit my candle along with the video. :) Steve with the rest of the guys from Lep, are such an inspiration to me. Their music is literally the soundtrack to my life that brings me joy everyday. ( I even named my 84 Ibanez Lightning in honor of Steve. ) I was too young to ever get the chance to see Steve live in concert, however I get to live through his music and videos. So Thank you again Lorelei for sharing this part of Steve. You definitely will be seeing a contribution from me to the Shellist Music Scholarship. Looking forward to reading your book. :)

Steve Clark Is the Reason Def Leppard has such an original Amazing sound💕🎸 I've Loved Them since 1981 I had the High n Dry " Album" 😀 I can't even imagine the Brilliant music He would have made. Thank you for sharing this with His Always & forever Fans💜🎸
