🎭 Thank you all for watching! What did you think of the Ithaca Saga from Epic The Musical? This chapter left me absolutely speechless - the storytelling, the music, the emotions... just WOW! 😍

Let’s keep the conversation going below! ✨
The lady you were talking about was named Eurycleia, you were correct my man. 👍
This saga is definitely my favorite! The raw emotions, the vocals, the return of motif from “just a man” at the end of the last song gave me chills. I can’t listen to this saga without crying. 😭
The Ithica saga is by far my favorite. Each song made me feel something very strongly. Giddy, Disgust, Hype and bitter sweet. My all time fave is a tie between The Challenge and Odysseus. Odysseus is so intense! But im in love with Penelope's singing.
Favourite moment is the moment Antinous dies. The relief that washes over me when I realize he won't be hurting anyone.
Favorite moment: was the duets, for sure; the animatic Hugs*
Hadn’t even recognized the “Just a man motif” at the end… and I love how for this musical it all came full circle.
I love how in the musical the wedding bed test doubles as Penelope challenging Odysseus’ beliefs about himself. “You want to know if I’ll fall in love with you again since you’re ‘not the same person’? Well can you go and get rid of our wedding bed? Oh you can’t? Because it symbolizes how our bond is unbreakable? There you go then!”
Truly she’s more than a match for him
It shows how despite everything that had happened, their love is above everything else. Their love and family is not a means to an end, it is the end goal itself
I thought the wedding bed was carved out of the Olive tree. So if Ody wants to carry the wedding bed he literally would need to uproot the Olive tree itself.
@@saltyfish9617 exactly! It’s rooted to the ground which makes it a symbol of their bond. Penelope is saying she doesn’t care if he’s changed, their bond is unbreakable, she’ll always love him no matter what he’s done.
To be specific in the original tale, it was her final test to see if the strange man who claimed to be her husband was who he claimed he was. More specifically she told Odysseus that the wedding bed had been moved to a different room and Odysseus raged that the only way she could move the bed is if she cut it free from the roots of the tree he carved it out of. Which was her final proof it was her husband who came home as she embraced him.
Also testing it wasn't Zeus being himself
If you read the titles of the last three songs together it reads: “Odysseus, I can’t help but wonder, would you fall in love with me again?”
Omg😭😭
Why?!....*sigh*....alright, more cargo for the trauma train.
just kidding, this is beautiful. Thanks for pointing it out!
And the first two is "The Challenge, Hold Them Down" now that could be said from Telemacus/Penelope POV the Challenge is to hold them down until Odysseus returns. Could be me and my tinfoil hat but that also struck me too
Oh. Oh okay. Nah, it's cool crying on a Thursday morning over Epic: The Musical is pretty on brand for me now 😭😭😭
My old husbands bow🚫
My husbands old bow✅
I'm sobbing.. 🥺💖
"old king's bow" 😮💨
1:10 the suitors are probably like "She's so smart and pretty, but damn, she sucks at weaving"
Fr 😂
Knowing their merry way of thinking, they probably viewed Penelope as a sentient houseplant
“That doesn’t sound right, but I don’t know enough about weaving to dispute it”
It's even funnier because the name 'Penelope' means weaver
I genuinely think that for a long time many of them just didn't care. They were already living like kings by virtue of her hospitality.
Pen: You’re not my husband? Fine, then get rid of the bed I shared with my husband.
Ody: !?!?!? Divorce!?!?!?
Pen: No, You Dingus!!
That's the most AUstralian description I've ever heard :)
Antinous: Only the ocean and I will know...
Poseidon: LEAVE ME OUT OF THIS I WANT NO MORE FROM ITHACA
Poseidon: DO NOT EVEN DARE TO DO THAT HE MADE ME A GROWN GOD BEG FOR MERCY HE'S GONNA DO WORSE
Your analysis of the story is my favorite, your knowledge of the Odyssey is so refreshing compared with other reactors who don’t know the story. No hate to any other reactors but it’s nice to have someone who knows.
Saaaame❤
Came here to say the same thing. This has probably been my favorite commentary on Epic.
a breath of fresh air
fr fr
Agreed. I've been looking at the channel everyday for this video 😂
Penelope's challenge is actually much more cunning than initially appears. Its commonly thought that Odysseus used a recurve bow, which would have been a really rare style in greece at that time. Recurve bows have a special way of stringing them that would not be known to the suitors, so in reality they have 3 challenges in one: Have the strength to string the bow, the intelligence to figure out the technique, and the skill to shoot it through the axes. If the suitor didn't have all 3, then he wasn't even worth consideration.
Alos, I think that when Odysseus killed Antinous, he actually completed the challenge, stringing his bow and shooting Antinous through the axe heads, essentially dunking on the suiters and punishing them at the same time.
Yeh, that bow when unstrung scratched my brain in all of the wrong ways in how it looked
@@khoinguyen5004 Recurves do be looking pretty funky unstrung.
Also Penelope was waiting at the end of the axes, hence "cause I'd rather die than grow old without the best of you" - if someone did complete the challenge, they would shoot Penelope... so she's also saying NONE of them are better than her husband and she would rather die than be with ANY of them.
@smugreptile6695 there's recurve bows then there's the Palintonos bow, of which Odys was a 250+lb pull. That thing was a beast and so was Odysseus.
The suitors wouldn't be too unfamiliar with a recurve bow because of the Scythian bow. The Palintonos bow was a different beast (now)
Anna Lea, Penelope's singer, is an absolute powerhouse in this musical. We got hints that she had a great voice in previous sagas but Jorge really said, "Your time to shine ma'am" and she killed it! I can't wait to hear what she and Ayron Alexander (rest in pieces Antinous) put out in the future because their voices are amazing and they have the singing chops to back it up.
Ayron Alexander out here just doing right by all villains singers in past musicals. I just kept thinking about Frollo in HoND.
Fr every time a new saga was out i would always go back to watching The Challenge demo video
Can't wait to hear more of ayron, (rest in piss antinous)
"I only wish I could listen to that again for the first time." Perfectly sums up my feelings towards this entire album. It's nothing less than a masterpiece, and I cannot wait to see it performed on stage at some point.
This is exactly my feelings on it. I REALLY hope that this gets a stage show that tours the world.
As someone who only caught the tail end of the songs(basically god games onward) it was a surprise and absolute joy to listen to the first half of the musical and watching the build up toward the end.
I got into EPIC right when the Vengeance Saga released😭 @@YinYangAngel55
Or animated like the Prince of Egypt!
That’s why I keep showing it to people - so I can live vicariously through them
I just realized when Telemachus shows up in Odysseus, the background music is kind of like showing how he’s a product of those who taught and made him him. The melody of Legendary plays first in a guitar (Odysseus), then a viola (Penelope), then with his own instrument, all the while we hear hints of Athena behind it
Very interesting!
I love how you are nodding along the whole time, until you hit mid Hold Them Down, then you are shaking your head instead lol
I love how Jorge subverted Penelope's test. In Homer's epic Penelope uses it to confirm Odysseus' identity, while in the musical she uses the test to reaffirm to Odysseus that no matter what has happened he'll always be the man she loves.
Fun fact about Odysseus song: Hes using all tactics from gods and monsters he encountered.
- Hide in the shadows, learned from Polyphemus
- Aim for the torches, learned from Scylla
- Pick them one by one, learned from Circe
- Strike when they're distracted, learn from the sirens
- Hide their weapons, and by extension taking away their agency and defense, like Zeus
And of course, using one hard learned lesson from Poseidon, closed his heart and be ruthless
When Penelope is singing Waiting to Odysseus, there are 7 waitings. One waiting for each saga he was away from home, and it lasts 20 seconds, each second representing a year he was gone
First one doesn't make a lotta sense since there are 9 sagas..
@@tls123-hsy-kdjno, there are 8
I think when he says Penelope in between the waitings it’s a saga where he hallucinates her or when he is almost home but someone or something reroutes his ship (wind bag, Zeus)
She actually says it 8 times, and it is between sagas 8 and 9 that he comes home, so it is accurate
This actually makes more sense @@wehn3624
Idk if anyone has already said this but you CAN hear Ody in the suitor songs as his voice progressively gets louder staying true to the sorce material to show he's been there that whole time for the challenge. And I love that smol fact about the song.
Not only that, you can hear him in 'The challenge' saying "Penelope.." after the suitors say "time to be the man of the house", but it's really low so the music (and then Penelope herself) makes it really hard to hear him, which is a detail I love since he's hiding among the suitors so his voice is hiding between the music too
I only noticed because in the stream I read one suitor saying Penelope but I didn't hear it at all, so I decided going deaf to hear it 😂 it was worth it haha
@Coffee_Cat108 yes I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that heard it but it wasn't until like after the 4th listen cause I swore i heard it on the 3rd listen but I had to be sure so I'm glad there's someone else that heard it too.
Hes more audible in the left ear, at least in Hold Them Down
I also love - and this sounds obvious, but it shows attention to detail- I love that you can hear the arrow fly before it actually strikes within that song.
I love the "I BUILT it" line, its got such great 'dumbass' energy.
Dude SAME. It hits every time.
This has been quite the journessy, hasn't it? 😢
Journesseus
Yep it was epic xd
I understood that refrence 🤣
But another journessy will begin
10:00 - That “soaring violin” in the background is the same “soaring” rift as Odysseus’s “Noooo” during Keep Your Friends Close.
It’s to showcase Penelope’s screams during the heinous acts Antinous is describing - and showing that her screams would be music to his ears.
your mean :(
That sad piano of "Warrior of the Mind" going off key at the last note as the audible disconnect of their relationship....heartbreaking!! At least to me.
It's also similar to "This is my goodbyee"
@Marichika24 You're right! That's definitely more accurate. And even sadder.
I always think of that last note there is like rejecting a resolution, like the lyrics said, "there's a girl I have to see", as if his journey is not done, and there's one more thing he have to do.
In one of his short Jorge said that musically, the notes for "warrior or the mind" are playing along with "Penelope" and I think that's so cool because it does create that discordant note and signal they have very different focuses now.
Hold Them Down is one of the best villain songs I've heard. Great video and happy new year!
I agree! I can't stop obsessing over it. I had to go back to compare it to the Hunchback of Notre Dame- Frolo's "Hellfire" since I always loved that villain song... I love this one even more
@@boopsy4439 absolutely!
@@boopsy4439 Same!!!!!
Had to compare Hold them down to “Good to be king” from Journey to Bethlehem.
i think a part of the reason its so memorable, aside from the sheer vileness, is the shock of it being cut off. like, when was the last time you heard a villain song cut off at the climax by that? its meant to be a show of their prowess and intimidation! to showcase how powerful they are! cutting it off in a single blow turns all that work around and makes it a showcase of ody's power instead. its so clever!
I absolutely love how in “I can’t help but Wonder” Telemachus has Ody’s guitar and Ody has Telemachus’ indie piano on top of his own guitar
28:31 Especially in Greek Mythology. Could’ve been Zeus tryna take advantage of a grieving widow 😅😂
Basically, yes...
I'm just glad Jorge didn't include his old dog recognizing Odysseus and then dying.
Jorge: "I draw the line at the dead dog."
@@Maevely99 We can YEET infants from a wall, but an old dog dying of old age peacefully after seeing his owner again? Naaaa (and I'm glad for it because I would be a crying mess on the floor)
11:18 "You can obviously hear him chocking on his own blood... Fantastic!" XDDDDD
Cool thing someone pointed out on another reaction was each monster’s song is titled after them. Polyphemus, Scylla, Charybdis. Now, Odysseus
If you notice, he also applies what he learned from each of those encounters. He kills the leader of the suitors, which was the mistake that polyphemus made (not killing odysseus), trapped and tricked them like circe did, and struck from the darkness (and aimed for the torches) like scylla.
@@archangel6295he also performs a judgement (like Zeus) and is ruthless like Poseidon
Every time the reprise of "Just A Man" plays in the end, I tear up. It's a beautiful and powerful way to end the story. Really tugs on those heart strings. 🙂
So Ody's bow was a palitonos bow, which has an aggressive recurve to it. You can look up pictures to see how it looked when it wasn't strung. The suitors' difficulty was a combination of a really high draw weight and also an unfamiliar bow that they weren't clever enough to figure out like Ody was.
Appreciate seeing a comment section that isnt the same 3 "fun facts" over and over and over - really shows that people engage with the creator and not just the content
love how the fanfare at the end is the melody of Just a Man, really brings everything together in a beautiful conclusion
the music so amazing, but that finale with the animatics from the live show? I WAS LEFT A SOBBING MESS, cheers to the animators for enhancing the emotional damage
Loved this, and loved the original Odyssey context you provide as always!
The fanfare at the end after Penelope says “waiting… for you” is a reprise of a very specific section of the second song of the musical, Just A Man:
“I'm just a man
Who's trying to go home
Even after all the years away from what I've known
I'm just a man
Who's fighting for his life
Deep down I would trade the world to see my son and wife
I'm just a man”
And he did indeed trade his world to see his son and wife... but he finally made it. The first time we’ve heard “just a man” reprised in a (bittersweet) triumphant way instead of a painful tragic way.
27:28 that's a bit of a punch to the gut, you can hear The motif for warrior of the mind in the background, but it's fading out as Athena realizes that her dreams of a partnership with Odysseus will not happen because they've grown too far apart (of course she still has a friendship with telemachus, but she's still probably a little bit upset that she can't work with Odysseus anymore. I also love the little touch that they separate this time because they both flipped their viewpoints and Odysseus doesn't really have time to hear her out)
Omg, I didn’t notice this at first, but I think it’s sounds like the ending of my goodbye…
@gamers.forlife212 oh yeah you're probably right, they are so similar that I couldn't tell the difference
I think the scariest part of family men is the person they become when their family is harmed, and Odysseus is the perfect example of that.
14:43 My personal headcanon is that up until this point, Odysseuss was actually hearing him out, but the 'open arms' triggered him so he went 'nope, fuck this'
Fun fact: during Hold Them Down, you can actually hear Ody singing with the Suitors at some points if you listen closely.
i dont know if its actually odysseus since jorge (the voice of odysseus) is just apart of the ensemble since its a concept album.
@@emilyblair4867 I don't think Jay has ever sung for any of the ensemble before, and he's a master at hiding things like this in the song. I'm willing to bet everything on that being Ody canonically singing with the Suitors, because in the original story he comes back home while the Suitors are plotting and stuff as well iirc.
@ in the cast listing it says hes part of the ensemble and i don't fault you for picking out his voice, its very distinct and he would include hidden things, but I can't imagine Jorge including the "wife guy" odysseus singing about hurting his son and wife to blend in.
@@emilyblair4867 He doesn't necessarily sing that stuff with Antinous, he just sings the "hold X down" bits. Jay 100% hides stuff like this in his various songs, or makes subtle references to things. I can definitely see Ody singing with the Suitors to disguise himself as he goes about stringing the bow and getting into position to shoot Antinous.
I'd have to look through the credits of the other songs to see if he's listed as being in other ensembles. I'm certain he's never been in any of the other ensembles; if this is the only one he's sung for one, imho it stands to reason it's because he's singing as Ody and not just another background vocalist.
Either way it'll be one of those things we have different views about unless Jorge decides to make a video saying for certain one way or another. If enough people ask him about it he might go ahead and make a video. *Not so subtle nudge to people in his Discord to ask him.*
I adore that this concept album appeals to everyone without needing prior knowledge of anything, It follows the foundation of Odyssey for everyone who's interested in Greek history without changing and watering it down to the extreme that a lot of retellings do but it also is clear storytelling for everyone who's not read The Odyssey to follow the plot and the music itself has so many hidden things for the musical and lyrical nerds to pick apart but you can also clock certain instruments and sounds symbolizing characters without having that music background.
I actually cannot listen to the last song without crying. Every single time I weep.
I've heard that in some versions, the reason none of the suitors could string it wasn't because they weren't strong enough, but because the bow is a particular kind that curves the opposite way while unstrung. So they've all been trying to string it the wrong way. I thought that's a cooler interpretation and plays more into Odysseus' whole thing of being renowned for his wits more than his might.
Its a recurve bow, when unstrung it looked... weird af.
tbh i like the explanation of "It was a really weird and rare bow that no one's ever seen before" over the one where the justification was he was just way stronger than the average buff man bc he has godly blood. It's way more in character, like ofc odysseus would own a bow that required you to use probably 5 times more braincells to string
@@niffleraku its actually both, after all his strength was just as important as his wit :) It was both that it was a palintonos, a recurve, *and* that it had an incredibly impressive draw stength. Odysseus was blessed by the gods and was often called "God-like Odysseus" especially in the chapter where he takes out the suitors. It could have been possible a minority of the suitors may have had the physical strength to actually use the bow, had they figured out how to string it, but they sure did not get the chance 😂
For the past two years, this has the best music for any musical! This is what a Musical should be and to me just truly EPIC!
1:35 Small thing not many have noticed is that right after she says "storm" you can hear the wind bag intrument play, is not it's normal melody, I suppoused it was because Penelope doesn't knows the context behind the storm but she definitely saw it, so is just the instrument and not a part of the melody
15:44 This one I'm not to sure but I believe you can not only hear Telemachus's melody and instruments but also some of Athena's, like the noise (idk what it is) when she uses the fast thoughs, so you can tell in this version Athena is with Telemachus and helping him like in "little wolf"
33:23 Penelope sings "waiting" 7 times in the last song, the number of sagas she has had to wait, obviously not counting the Ithaca saga, and she sings them in about 20 seconds for the 20 years, I'm gonna cry
abt the telemachus one, i think it was confirmed in the premier party because the animatic had a title come up when telemachus appeared & the title was “warrior of the mind” so now he’s the new warrior of the mind
I really like how the "Fo↗️oo↘️oor↘️ you↗️"
is done in the same way as the "whoa oh whoa Odysseus" from the end of Remember Them cause Penelope completes him. Maybe I'm thinking too hard about it, but it's cute
The My Goodbye motif at the end of I Cant Help But Wonder because way back when Athena blessed him and mentored him as her Warrior of the Mind, he was supposed to change the world. He doesn't want to change the world anymore. That hasn't mattered for a long time. He JUST wants to get back to her. No fixing anything, no being a godlike warrior. Just seeing his wife. 😭😭😭😭😭
The soaring violin is supposed to represent penelope crying out her protest as they are SA her. Its such a small inclusion that had such a huge impact on me and i cried when i heard it the first time around 😭
someone finally explained how the challenge works ily😭
Something I've seen people talking about this saga is Odysseus has a song named after him. The only ones named after a character have been what were perceived as "monsters"
You wanna experience the Ithaca Saga again for the first time? Watch the livestream video that Jorge has, with his canon animatics
They are all so beautiful and honestly just bring the songs to life even more. The last song especially imo, cannot stress this enough
The way you described the scenes from the story, the level of detail... Dude, that's amazing, just subbed because of that, what a great story teller you are!!
I’ve been watching content creators reacting to Epic for quite sometime now, and I have just recently found your channel. I binge watched your reactions all in one day. Great work! One of the best Epic reactors for sure! I was really looking forward for this. Kudos from Brazil!
So fun fact but in hold them down you can actually hear Ody singing in the ensamble in the beginning since he was hiding among them
Been obsessively checking your channel for your reaction to this. So glad to see you enjoyed it and understood everything just through the music lol
The ticking clock is an Athena thing, indicating that she's talking to someone in their mind. Jorge calls it Quick Thought and it shows up in every Athena song.
Now its time for a rewatch with all the animatics!
I have some on my Patreon already.
Ive taken such a visceral joy in watching people's reactions when Penelope drops the 'Waiting...waiting' line in the first song.
Honestly this saga was peak. I'm sad that it's over but for it to end like that? Couldn't have asked for more.
The choice in the musical to have the line about the bed not be a test to prove its him, but a declaration to Odysseus that yes he’s still the same man she married so of course she’ll fall in love with him again, is something really beautiful and emotionally resonant. I can’t help but wonder softens you up, and then would you fall in love with me again goes in for the KILL.
One thing I thought of with Penelope singing "Waiting" like Odysseus' mother... she must have heard Anticlea singing that almost every single day for the 10 years between him setting off for Troy and her eventual passing. I wonder if she sang it with her?
The part when "just a man" starts playing a breeze of wind entered trough my window just as i listen to that... it was the best sensation, as if a weight has been lifted from my shoulders, really love this musical
Omg, i was waitingggg waitinggg for your reaction to the saga and it was worth it, thank you!
Well, here we are. You were the reason I discovered EPIC way back at the beginning. What a journey!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, it was a fantastic journey.
FINALLYYY!! i was waiting for your reaction! 💖✨
The livestream probably wasnt up yet at the recording of the reaction but still highly reccomend watching it even if its not a reaction!
man i was waiting only for your reaction!! ❤❤ going to watch it rn!
Love this! I haven’t seen anyone else from Australia be interested in EPIC before so absolutely love this. Also absolutely love your knowledge on the odyssey
I loved your react vids. Watched them through twice. It’s sooo nice to share this journey with someone who has also read the source material!
And thus, the story ends. Thank you for your phenomenal insight and genuine reactions! You're the best!
Fun fact since you know about the Odyssey and stuff the Suitor who sings the 'old king' part is Eurymachus, the Suitor who sings the 'he's more cunning' part with the deeper voice is Amphonius and the one who sings the 'brothers' part who attacks Telemachus is Melanthius (I might've butchered somw spelling lol)
matters more imo to use actual characters from The Odyssey because like boooyy how much of an absolute ahole Melanthius was and what a traitor Eurymachus is. Like without reading The Odyssey its still enjoyable but its a lil extra satifying if you know 😂
You have the most amazing reactions- those last two long with the animation from the live steam BROKE ME!❤
I have loved your reactions this whole time and this one especially. It's been a while since I've read the Odyssey, so for you to bring back details that help enrich this music and journey is so nice. This saga was very emotional! I can't believe it's over
I was waiting for your reaction to this! I always enjoyed hearing the differences between the original and this musical. Thank you for your reactions and your insight! It's been one heck of a ride and the Ithaca Saga was such a beautiful bow on top.
a beautiful recurve bow?
Palintonos bow
I LOVE the insight you give, but I do wish you had also used the livestream animatics; they add even more of a punch to the Sagas overall IMO.
Even so, waited for this reaction!
The way I’ve been stalking your page…WAITING for this 😂😂
Lol, enjoy.
I've been listening to this musical for what seems like forever now, but has truly only been since just before the release of the vengeance saga and this musical still manages to get me hyped, but at times to shed a tear. It truly delights my ears and tugs at my heart strings in multiple ways. Always love seeing peoples reactions to this beautiful work.
Your reactions to epic are my favorite. Its so nice to hear from someone so familiar with the original material.
I could NOT wait for your reaction videos on this! I'm so excited.
You help me understand more of the story and lore too
I've really enjoyed watching someone who has read The Odyssey and appreciates the source material but who is also approaching this musical with an open mind and accepting of the changes Jorge has made instead of critiquing them heavily. There's been some changes I've really liked and some not so much but it's been really interesting seeing your reaction and opinions of everything. As much as I love the animatics I've also really enjoyed you just listening intently and enjoying the music and how it tells the story because I really do feel like the animatics change how people perceive the songs.
Great reaction series! It was really fun to watch someone react to the musical who knows the story
I haven't even started the video yet, I just want to say how amazing this journey was. Your reactions has definitely been my favorite of all time and I could watch it many many times. You understood every perspective from the musical and gave us the parallel from the poem itself, and the emotional reaction has been on point! Now I can't wait to see this masterpiece and your reaction. (If this is too long, I'm so sorry, I've been emotional these past days, and also, maybe I will edit this).
Edit: I just want to watch your reaction to the animatic scenes of this saga, so you can feel even more of the last saga. Other than that, every time I watch this video I get emotional 😭
The end hits every time no matter how much I have heard it. Always so emotional. jorge did that brilliantly!
Since you have not watched most of the animatics would you do a relisten with the animatics playlist? ❤
I don't know if anyone else thought this, but when Odysseus shot the arrow 10:41 , the time it took til it reached Antinous' neck, sounds like it went through the axes then hit him.
Technically making it seem he's "showing them how it's done".
I Just love your analysis, you share bits of the original story and fully enjoy the musical! Loved this journey!
I've been waiting for this and wasn't disappointed
I was waiting for this. :D Yours are one of the best reactions I've heard for this musical (and the one played the most times ^^'). I love your insight and snippets of trivia. ^^
i love the way the chorus in the Odysseus song sings his name like for certain other monsters in epic like polyphemus. also that last song with penelope and ody just makes me sob no matter how much i listen to it i cry
I`ve been waiting for this video from day one after the release party ❤❤❤
I think I could be wrong but I think in all of Epic, everytime that "Just a man" came back was the second half, from the cometh becoming a meteor onwards, until this last song where the first half about Ody willing to do anything to go back to his wife comes right at the end. Do correct me if I am wrong though.
I WAS WAITING WAAAIIIIITIIIING FOR THIS
Ody really forgetting that Penelope is a Spartan princess lmaooo as if a little murder would be enough to sway her love
6:50 odysseus wasn’t supernaturally strong he is still mortal the suitors have just been slacking off and weakening themselves while odysseus has been fighting. Also the bow is meant to be strung backwards from what it looks like😂
“Hold them down” was already gut wrenching, but the viola is Penelope‘s instrument so the screaming viola is meant to represent her in that moment
Loving the mentioning of how things go in the poem.
In the livestream (which i cant stress how much id suggest you take a peek at.) You can see the majority of voice cast for everyone in EPIC. And you can see them all reacting to the ithica saga as well. So its kinda like everyone is connected with each other reacting to it while jorge basks in his masterpiece.
I don’t think anyone has said this yet, but in Would you fall in love with me again, Penelope sings “waiting” 8 times for 8 sagas apart, and 20 seconds for 20 years apart
Checking your page everyday, so glad this came out, love your reactions :)
You probably stayed as my favourite epic reactor till the end, mostly because of your amazing knowledge about the actual story!
I have been 🎶 waiting 🎶 for this reaction! 🎉
Loved your reaction! Definitely sending this video to my friends
Everyone, get in here! Patrol Nation just dropped the Ithaca Saga reaction!
My favorite part is when Odysseus says “It’s Odyssey time” and odyssied all over the ̶s̶u̶i̶t̶o̶r̶s̶ palace
