Found an E.H. Taylor Small Batch for 54.99, a Wellers Special Reserve for 39.99, a Knobb Creek Single Barel and picked up the Old Forester 1920 finally to try! :)
That is awesome 🎉
Sounds like a great day !
Love the 1920. Pick up a 1910 next, which is lower proof, but oh so smooth.
@@jonathanscoggins5868 awesome 💯
Great video! I'm in Northern California and we dont have ANY stores that pour bottles like you do in the midwest. So jealous!
@@nathanwillems7214 thank you watching. Hopefully that will change soon
Old Louisville has another hazmat release coming soon! Hope to grab a bottle 👌🏼. Nice video, my man. Cheers! 🥃🥃💪🏼💪🏼🦉🦉

On the tasting shelf was a Bhakta that looked to be a 1928. If so, that is great stuff. Peter Lynch is the Master Blender at BHAKTA Spirits who was previously the Master Blender at WhistlePig. It's a blend with an average of 15 years consisting of Rye, Calvados and Armagnac, with its oldest vintage dating back from 1928. Anyways, it's worth a shot if you haven't tried it before. Enjoy your content.
@@nolecab5038 I was told a little history about that one. Need to give it a honest try. Thanks for the suggestion
Cheers 💯
291 is from here in my hometown of Colorado Springs, they put aspen staves in the barrels to finish with. Different profile.

Something to add for the wild turkey Kentucky spirit you said you’ll pick up in the future. Try to find one that’s from camp Nelson. It will say “cn-“random letter””. Those bottles are made from the same place Russell’s rickhouse is from. I like it more than the others
@@crunchynuts88 awesome. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely be on the lookout.

Pick up the Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit from Camp Nelson. The one I have is CNF and it's awesome!
Hey Chad they say that Old Kirk is Willett Purple Top ,,, Thay had a nice allocated section, I walked into one of my regular stores today and they had 3 sample bottles of Russell's for a store pick so I got to sample and give my ranking of the three bottles .... Thanks

Check the labels on those Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit bottles. If you ever see warehouse CN with a letter after like CN-A or CN-E you gotta grab one! The CN is their Camp Nelson rickhouses where they get the Russells single rick limited edition bottles.
Definitely will remember that. Appreciate your support . cheers 💯
Love those Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirits! nite and day over the 101 offerings. Some of them imo drink way better than blantons.
They're underrated now, but will be the futre dusty bottles that will go for $$ in the next 8 + 10yrs

My cheap go to is Ancient Ancient Age. It’s allocated here in Mississippi, but no limit on how many you can buy. My store had just gotten in a few cases… so I stocked up! I also got a starlight blackberry, a benchmark, small batch, an Evan Williams hero edition, and a Rebel 100.
My bottom shelf is completely restocked now.

I hope Barrel is not in trouble. They do a great job blending whiskeys. I love their Vantage one.
Have wanted to try one of their offerings, but they’re priced around $90 across the board. I luck into great rare bourbons, for far less, regularly - so I haven’t pulled the trigger on one yet. The orange label, mizunara barrel, bottle sounds like the one to get.
They just built a 10 million dollar complex. I think that’s what started the rumor they were going under. Lot of money to put down.
@@beachbreak That is good also, but I really like the Vantage. The Vantage is a three barrel finish blend.
@@troyparker8197 I’ll keep that one in mind, thanks!
Can't confirm but heard a rumor a few months ago that they have too much cash tied up in their enormous barrel collection and their over sized shelf offerings are possibly too confusing for the regular consumer to pick so they just pass. This might be hurting their sales.
So maybe need to focus on 3 or 4 flagship products rather than having 8 to 10 options available.
I just know my experience and I'm lost / bored most of the time to read EVERY label to tell the differences. I've tried a couple bottles of the flagship offerings and not very impressed so doesn't drive me to order the menu if you know what I mean
Old Elk cigar isn't bad at all but no where near that Joseph Magnus
Okay . That JM is a great pour. One of my favorites 💯
Oh My god. If you see Angel's envy triple oak grab it.

I avoid celebrity whiskeys like Blackened. I know Blackened started with Dave Pickerell (R.I.P.) as the master distiller and blender. I just dont trusy it. Most of them are cash grabs. I saw Jim Gaffigans Father Time bourbon... $150 for a non-age statement sourced bourbon, and $200 for the cask strength. No thanks. The only celebrity bourbon I've heard is decent is Heavens Door, but I still won't buy it.
Heavens door is def not good however the blackened is better lol. Brothers end Cask strength is GREAT!!!
