Invest in a broken cork puller and some good synthetic corks. They are essentials out here in the desert and will help you out when the inevitable happens. Sometimes the cork falls in, so you have to pour the bottle through a mesh cocktail strainer into a temporary home while you use the bag trick to get the cork out.
Snagged me an Old Fitz 13 VSS. Got there at 4:30 am and they released 40 bottles last Saturday. I was 35th in line. I got to try it at liquor barn for $24 a pour.
Alabama's bourbon drop at the end of the year is going to be banging. Birthday dropped this month and I lost out, but I got a weller fp store that is absolutely fantastic.
My local store dropped GT Stagg and William Larue Weller last week at $550 and $950, respectively. WLW sold out first, I think GT Stagg is still there. They told me they had 7-8 of each this year. I passed at those prices, but those bottles will sell.
I seen my military base has a new JDSIB sticker/price tag on their special shelf for essentially 85$ so I'm hoping it's the coyhill release. They've got all the other "barrel proofs" already so I'm really hoping so.
i didnt even know RR Single Rick was going to do a release. that's a bottle i'm hunting for sure. the RR13/15 are my two favorites of everything i have tried thus far (Almost 2 years into my journey)
Must be nice to get high end allocated bottles for MSRP The only thing allocated I can get is Blantons Eagle Rare Weller SR and EH Taylor Would love to get a RR15 or Rickhouse for MSRP
Move we get many allocated bottles from September through January every year and all at msrp. If you’re willing to camp any bottle is available here in my state.
Yah I have relationships with a couple stores but they still sell all the good bottles to their rich friends They still give me allocated just not the high end allocated
Just picked up store pick (in GA) of 13th Colony Cask Strength Rye (131 proof). The owner told me that when they were doing their pick that 13th Colony was planning on releasing the Double Oaked Cask Strength Rye sometime this year. Get ready!
Have you guys tried that Mary Dowling double oak cask strength? Evergreen on shelbyville rd were really promoting it. Double oak 107 proof made by rabbit hole.
I'm new to bourbon but have loved everything I've tried from Bardstown and Green River. How limited will Disco 12 be? Will it be findable in most parts of the US for close to MSRP?
There are still some disco 10 and 11 in my area. 11 is great, I got a backup bottle as well, so get one if you can. 12 is supposed to be slightly more limited bc it's a slightly older blend. It's got some hype from 11 being good and the reviews so far have been favorable, however I'd imagine you'll be able to get one at msrp if you start looking now when your out and about town, keep your eyes open for one.
I agree with the comment below also I would think if you could find Disc 11 in your area you can get disc 12. But they are making less Disc 12 so be ready!
Man most of these are not attainable for normal people 😢 they are $400 -$1000 a bottle. I like living indoors and eating food lol. Power to you both for having money to spend like that.
1st week of October is Bourbon on the Banks in Frankfort KY. I hope they don't drop RR single Rickhouse then either. Cheers fellas, your mail arrived yesterday!
Penelope Estate Collection on my list! Last year the 9 yr Private Select was a Banger Pumped to try the Reserve Select and the Single Barrel
Love the 24 cellar aged. Got really lucky on getting one.
Picked up Disco 12 last weekend, it's SO good and just may be better than 11. Cheers guys!

Just picked up the Michter’s toasted Bourbon - my first. Friend found 2nd bottle of RR15 yesterday. Love this season!

@@umami0247. What state is that.
@@umami0247 I don’t camp for Bourbon lol What state you live in?
It helps to get them at MSRP. But building relationships and camping are needed for sure.

I’m from Georgia. Been looking for one of those 13th colonies store picks.
Where?
@@headbone00 at a shop in Georgia (just north of Atlanta). They picked a barrel and split between two stores. 50 bottles each.
Do you mind sharing the store names? I'm in Atlanta
@@wakes_inc Georgia Liquor Barn in Cumming. Their store pick releases to the public tomorrow (9/13). They have about 30 bottles left. Will go fast.

I haven't but I have tried some of there other stuff and it was a pass for me.
Spirit hands on hazmat was hilarious.
Odd that Seelbach already sold out for disco 12 yet distillery isnt selling it yet.

Was told at the distillery that there were only 2,000 cases of 12. As opposed to 11, which was closer to 8,000 cases. 👀
Are any of these available online? Or do you just have to get lucky finding it at the store?
Im new to bourbon hunting. Would appreciate any advice!
You might be able to find disc 12 online and maybe a few others. But honestly your best bet will be to hit the streets and look that way!
Shout outs in 2 consecutive videos? Feeling loved
Always
You fellas going to cox creek or Lawrenceburg this weekend? Seems like it’s going to be chaotic either way.
Truthfully I am not sure right now but I do agree it is going to be a mess for sure.
Will the single rickhouse be released at the distillery?
What did you pay for the GTS’s???
I think he payed a little over retail maybe like 60 bucks more.
i would love to get a Birthday Bourbon for a reasonable price...
ah, dreams.
"16 or 18"...thought you had to be 21 over there🤣 I was a little naughty in that way too...
Lol
