Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 жов 2024
- today we go bourbon hunting in my home town in South Jersey! What was I able to find? Any Pappy? Any BTAC? Any Allocated Bourbon? It was so fun to hunt back where I grew up. What bottle in the video would you have bought?

Those redwood empire cask strengths are great. Especially the emerald giant and pipe dream
I’ve heard great things!
Lost Monarch is also dynamite
I got the cask strength pipe dream at circle liquors last week. Last one there
Definitely would’ve grabbed that peerless double oaked, can’t find that here in MA.
Woodford dbl oak is good;had some good luck with the Makers store picks in NC
Love makers picks
We love Circle Liquor Store! It's our first stop when we spend time in OCNJ.
Cheers!
Thanks for taking us along. Always fun seeing what stores in other areas have to offer. Cheers 🥃😎
Always fun to go hunting!
The James Pepper Barrel Proof at Joe Canal's is definitely worth going back for. 1 because of the juice and 2 because of the awesome decanter looking bottle
8:28 Agreed! James E Pepper Barrel Proof is a hitter!
I’ll have to give it a double check!
Great store outside of ocean city, peerless double oak great
I saw you pass up that Yellowstone toasted like it's not a sleeper bottle for the price. Everyone paying more for 1910 but the Yellowstone toasted sits on shelves
12:52 I see too many of you walking past Belle Meade Reserve....once its gone it's gone and it's damn good, snag one up when you see it!
Well snap I might have to pick it up now!
Gotta try Cantera Negra for espresso martinis
If it was me I’d grab that Clyde Mays store pick at stop #2… I love all the Clyde Mays picks I’ve had! Or that 2XO Gem of Kentucky! Love the bottle I have!
Cheers Dean!
Grew up is south Jerez, i know all of those places. Circle had Wilderness trail rye. not sure if that was a store pick, but it good and store pick i have i great!!! Milan & Green rye at place 2 is good as well. But they had Barrel Bourbon Cask strength batch #034. That is a MUST buy! It’s fantastic!!
Love me some Barrell offerings
Gotta check out that redwood empire black label pipe dream barrel proof! Missed that one
Sagamore 8 year and what looked like a store pick
100 plus shipping for that peerless double oak please 🙏
I recently picked up a Jack Daniels single barrel pick from circle liquor. Supper good. The passion vines always have good store picks
Yes! Cheers to ya!
Very cool seeing you hit up my locals
Had to do it while I was down there
some good bottles bud. cheers
Cheers!
that penelope 9 year is super solid, good price too!
Liked the Woodinville bottle, we had a private select single barrel tho. Super sweet and smooth.
Very interesting
I want to get that Peerless high rye but at that price, I'd like to try it first
It’s so pricey
you should try that campfire from high west sometime... its VERY unique. one of my craziest bottles. I kind of love it.
Heard so many different reviews on it haha. We will see
Bird Gang!!! I’m gonna have to get some of that!!!
Willet Pot Still = Crap! A buddy brought it over, hell no! I stuck it in my cabinet and its been there ever since.
Yes it does!
My pick ups would be 1792 SB, Buffalo Kosher Rye, Redwood Pipe Dream CS, and Knob Creek 18 if I'm feeling like draining the budget.
lol! I love the 1792 single barrel
@@EverydayDrinker I haven't been fortunate enough to come across one yet, although I have the BIB and 3 bottles of FP.
Yo, share a good recipe for an espresso martini! The wife loves a good espresso martini and I am not sure how do it. It wound nice when we hang at home and I make myself some variation of an old fashioned. Cheers pal
2 ounces screwball
1 oz mr black coffee liquor
1 oz fresh espresso
1/2 oz simple syrup
Penelope Toasted Rye is always a pickup for me and Woodford DO picks are a must at sub 60.
Love a good double oak pick!
I use to like bootleggers a lot but the selection has went down.
I recommend white horse wine. They have great store picks. And most stuff is msrp
I’ll have to go back down and do another video in the Galloway area then
Great video man! Love to see what is out there in other areas. Cheers brother 🥃
Cheers Carlos!
You should have picked up the Mary Dowling
I was contemplating that bottle when I saw it
Love these store type videos
It was fun to record my outing!
I would have picked up the sour mash malt and balboa rye from New Riff. I probably would have grabbed the Penelope toasted rye too. Pretty good selection up there compared to what I’m used to seeing where I live.
Cheers! We do get lucky with great bottles here that is for sure
@@EverydayDrinkerI like it man. Keep up the great work!
@@SmallCraftUS cheers!
Long time no see. Glad to see you’re doing well. We were neighbors growing up 😂
Ricky?!
Enjoyed seeing you hunt.
The added music is not needed (my 2 cents).
That Barrell Grey Label Seagrass is fantastic but over $50 to high (Boston it is $50 higher).
2nd store
Holy Crap that Frank August was overpriced as hell.
Pretty cool seeing the BT Kosher and at a reasonable price. Always $100 or more when I see it.
Need to try the Mr Black to try. Never heard of it.
Bootlegger’s
Wow $115 for the 15yr Calumet is cheapest I have ever seen.
Last store
That Sagamore 8yr is fantastic. I definitely would have bought 1 or 2 of them as not sold in my state.
Enjoy seeing what others can buy and prices they have to pay. Thanks
Cheers to ya!
The koshers are usually at a decent price around me
It's a little out there, but Clayton Liqours has some of the nest bourbon selection in SJ.
Went to Rowan so I’m very familiar with Clayton liquors
1792 Single Barrel for the win. !
I pay 10 to 20 bucks more for bottles here in Southern TN than what you can get them for in NJ. Those VW and Stagg prices are insane although I was in a store in Alabama last week that had Elmer T Lee for 2K and 10 yr JD for $550. I’d be getting both of those bonded JD products. That JD Bonded Rye is very much worth it at that price I think. I pay 10 bucks above those prices. 20 bucks more for the Heaven Hill BiB. Been over that 9th St bridge a bunch as a kid! Loved OC, NJ! Great boardwalk back in the day! That bottle of Peg Leg Porker is from the owner of a delicious BBQ joint in Nashville. His food is great but his bourbon is way too expensive.
Prices for crazy allocated bottles here in NJ are insane
@@EverydayDrinker Yep. But that's true everywhere. Insane prices on Unicorns. Every bottle in my collection I will drink at some point. I refuse to spend so much on a bottle that I won't open it. No fun that way. Bourbon is made for drinking.
Store1: I'd have jumped on that Peerless DO. I'm interested in that WB Saffell.
Store2: That Redwood Pipe Dream Cask Strength is amazing.
Store3: you didn't want that Pappy for 2k lol?
Store4: didn't see anything great
Yea 2k was like 2k too steep 😂
Store pock of makers at 60 was pretty good
Yea not to bad
Peerless Double Oak
Great bottle. I’ve tried a couple and love it
You went to Joe Canals and didn’t go upstairs?! 😳
You need to do a bourbon meet up next time you’re down! Cheers!
Next time try white horse liquor and discount liquor in Mays Landing. I know some good spots too 😉
I’ll hit you up!
I won the ORVW this Christmas
Very nice!
If you want to come up north (central and northern NJ) in the spring, I’m a rep for a comic book company and know most of the great stores up here. It would make a good video.
Sounds good!
@@EverydayDrinker Did I reply to this? I thought I did, but don’t see it.
@@MitchGurowitz not seeing a reply
Crazy BTAC prices!!
Right!
Do you ever see the BT Kosher line a lot in NJ? When I was up there it seemed to be everywhere
Yes everywhere and normally reasonably priced
Bro check out wine dads in hoboken, insanely reasonable prices
I’ll give it a check!
Limit 1 BT at $1000+? Laughable! Thanks for the video.
Right I couldn’t help but laugh
Great video. These videos are fun. Cheers!
Cheers steve! Glad you enjoyed it
That Town Branch is nasty
Yes I’m not a fan of town branch
Hey I'm local here to
Cheers! Where at?
@@EverydayDrinker Petersburg
What's a bottle I should get myself for my birthday
Duke is pretty decent
I’ll have to pick one up soon
👍🥃
Like your video but rather have you talking is way better then back round music made want to change the video
Thanks for the feedback! Cheers! 🥃
Bourbon hunting these days is just not worth it. Your time, effort & gas money will be wasted almost all the time. Competition is too brutal. Tailgating/ camping out during allocation drops is the way to go for me. I can get more than a years worth of hunting rare bottles at msrp guaranteed.
To each their own. Some people don’t like to wait around. Some people don’t like to drive around. That’s why we have the option! Cheers brotha!
Don’t hunt only then. Do it when errands need to be done. Go to grocery store after that take the time to check two stores in that town then get food and go home. Or for example I don’t have a Lowe’s in my town but there is one 35 mins away. So when I go there I go to a Specs store just off the interstate and a liquor store near the interstate I took to get to the Lowe’s. Make the time when you are going to be out anyway
New riff single malt is pretty good single malt.the
I was interested in that bottle
