@@lox7923 well the reason I didn’t mention Kholi is because that’s specific to region…there is just a LOT of people in that region. Cricket is big in many other countries but still. Lebron I guess would be recognisable in China, basketball is pretty big there isn’t it, and maybe one or two Eastern European countries that like it. And because of American media generally he’s pretty well known in the west, but Messi and Ronaldo are truly known everywhere

well you have 4 sports that's only watched in US so 500 million people are watching while the other 8.500.000.000 are not.
on the other hand you got a sport watched in the other 196 countries (including Palestine and Vatican City).
it's not just the greatest moment on the american sports... it's the only relevant moment in the american sports history to the rest of the world.

From a US point of view there's been much bigger sports events several times but from a world point of view then this signing does send reverberations around the world, so it's a realistic sensible question worth considering.

Like dude. The most famous person in the world (him and Ronaldo by a huge margin are most famous persons in the world) comes to your country. Probably the greatest sportsman ever comes to your country. It’s the first fucking time ever when American sport (besides probably fighting) is interesting to anybody outside of America. That is by far the greatest moment in American sport history

What is super exciting is that their team doesn’t necessarily have the best defense. So it’s basically shoot out every match. He certainly has the threat of losing matches as he’s not playing defense but he’s also playing against weaker defenses, so how can you not enjoy it
