    I just came across this video, and as a Native New Yorker and 2022 Honda Rebel CMX1100 DCT owner, I thank you for this enjoyable and informative video. I had to keep it in Rain Mode for a while because I hadn’t ridden a bike in a quite a few years. I did swap out the exhaust, seat, installed a Memphis Shades Batwing fairing and saddlebags. You are spot on about the DCT, it’s absolutely awesome. I can no longer use a foot shift lever, so the DCT is keeping me in the saddle and having fun! Awesome job, this is definitely one of the best videos about the Honda CMX1100 out there! Thank you! Subscribed.👏 👍

    If you want good looks, works with saddle bags, and not obnoxiously loud, I recommend Miller Custombike's slip on, with racing baffle. Sounds and looks amazing. It's what I put on my 1100.

    One thing about the above pipe for the 1100… they include a flimsy extension bracket to fit the 1100. It breaks easily. I made my own bracket with an aluminum strip from Home Depot that I cut to length and panted black. Maybe they upgraded that bracket since then. Easy fix though. I also painted the clamp with high temp black paint. Easy. Nice look - I like the swept back look over the up swept look of most other slip ons. Enjoy.

    By far one of my favorite things I've put on mine is the Shorty GP slip on. its dirt cheap at around $30 and makes the bike sound so mean. It's louder and you can buy a baffle for about another $15 but its so worth it. Also swapping the seat for a Mustang brand is another very nice upgrade. I love this bike so much though.

  • @AyaWetts
    @AyaWetts Рік тому +5

    Coffman Thunder exhaust is what I swapped to. Works with saddlebags, looks much better, and people say it sounds really good.
    I also have a Memphis Shades batwing fairing... its big and blocks a lot of wind for cold and long trips.

    • @armchairbikerstv
      @armchairbikerstv  Рік тому +1

      I'm sort of undecided on the exhaust, I like the look of the Two Brothers but the Coffman looks good as well. I definitely want to add some wind protection at some point so I'm glad to hear you're happy with the Memphis shades. Thanks for watching!

    Hi I'm in the UK, and the bikes are not governed to 100mph here.
    I have ask the dealers and they think it is just a States dealing requirement.
    As for the front end wobble at high speeds that has been put down to attachments on the handle bars i.e phone holders and no screen cowl.
    Its -4 centigrade here this morning and trying to snow. So I have enjoyed watching your video, that the nearest I will get to riding a bike for a while.
    Thanks, Ray.

    • @armchairbikerstv
      @armchairbikerstv  Рік тому +1

      Interesting to hear that your bikes aren't limited. I hadn't done much research on it but it does make sense that people would be having some handlebar wobble due to aftermarket windshields causing air to push the bars around. Personally I haven't experienced anything like that yet. Thanks for watching!

      @@armchairbikerstv People kept researching and found it was rather due to stock tires being crap around 95mph. The issue seemed to disappear when switching to Metzeler Cruistec tires.

    I am thinking about switching Rebel 500 for Rebel 1100 and so far all reviews are being on a positive side. It seems, in our area they come in touring and regular editions (regular is the one I am after) .

    I like this bike but I'm 1.83 (around 6' I think for US). This bike looks small. That's the reason why I went for the Kawa Vulcan S instead of the Rebel 500 at first.

    Question. For you I can’t find info anywhere, does the manual version still have cruise control?

    • @armchairbikerstv
      @armchairbikerstv  Рік тому

      Yes it does, if you look on the right side of the handlebar where the starter button is on most bikes, there's a button for cruise control and a switch to resume or cancel the cruise

    • @armchairbikerstv
      @armchairbikerstv  Рік тому +1

      Sometimes I like having a little more roll on power and I was also trying to make a point that the bike is very smooth at almost any rpm, but yes 6th gear would also be just fine for cruising and you might get a little better mpg. Thanks for watching!

    How does it compare to the FZ09? So many UA-camrs say its like a hyper naked more then a cruiser. I just sold my XSR900 and am looking into the rebel 1100.

    • @armchairbikerstv
