Actually we had the science to prove that we can create a nuclear fusion reactor but we don't have the technology to make it commercially available as a power source
@@israelromero3212 it's cause heating the plasma needs more energy than the fusion puts out. The swiss plasma center in Lausanne has a functioning tokamak. it's fascinating stuff when you look into how it works.

I had to rebuild this thing about 3 times because i kept breaking a block of the solenoid while it was moving which would create a giant explosion and blow everything up
ReikasMinecraft around 24m or so you were wondering why power wasn't going through, one magnet clockwise is probably the magmet facing the wrong way since there seemed to be double the normal amount of bolts between it and the next magnet clockwise. currently 25 20s into the video
Reika: *talks advanced particle physics* Me: *confusedly builds with no understanding of what I'm actually doing* Also, amazing job at (to the non-existent extent of my knowledge) getting the details of an actual fusion reactor correct in Minecraft, of all games.

The mod seems overly complicated... mainly you have a lot of blocks that are functionally identical and just being used for different positions. It would make more sense to combine them into a single block. The magnet pieces, the injector covers, etc...
lol, but you're not emulating all the internal structure, you're using 4 different filler blocks that are all basically just cement, same with the magnets and the coils ;)
reikasminecraft is doing a great job at replicating it in minecraft not to mention i don't see you making any mod packs that are this complex and this purely beautiful
Raistlin Paddock I don't publish my mods, so you wouldn't see them one way or the other. And it's not the function of the mod I was commenting on, just that there's so much duplication of blocks just because it's in a different location. The mod is definitely well made, I never contested that. Nor would I. Rotorycraft and reactorcraft are both enormous mods, and just keeping mods that size from constantly breaking when things change takes plenty of skill. So stop taking my critique about someone else's work personally as if it affected you. And stop reading into things that were never said.
so correct me if i'm wrong, but could you remove a couple of the neutrino (correct thing right?) absorbers in a certain area, in SMP you could potentially use that as a weapon?
ReikasMinecraft Are to turbines from reactorcraft not finished yet because when I place them in the world they are just black blocks with inputs and outputs
Tony Allen Well, what are you guys even going to need all that power for? I guess power the entire server? Well, in single player i can't see my self ever needing that much power.
UltraMegaLolFilms300 40 minutes is pretty short...I'm pretty sure you can find tutorials on just vanilla redstone that is longer than that. NTM most of it is trying to figure out problems, or talking about other aspects of things, all sorts of stuff. I can build a reactor in like 10 minutes. It's also so simple, I have it entirely memorized.
+lebka lol Yea, be careful about that:) It's the same with the turbines. If you break a block while it is rotating, you will get a nice explosion. Creative mode really needs a way to turn that off:(
+lebka lol Ah, well...now you know not to do it with the solenoid either. It's pretty much "If it's a multiblock that spins, don't break it while spinning."
lebka lol Well, that's kinda better than me. I knew about it, but still accidentally hit my solenoid once while in creative mode. Thankfully, being creative and about my 20th reactor, I was able to rebuild in about 15 mins, hehe.
That's fine if all you need is like a few hundred RF/t. This will produce a few hundred million RF/t though. And yes, Rotarycraft can absolutely make use of all of that power.
these kinds of mods are like mega blocks vs a stack of Lego.. very specific pieces that only work in a very specific design... unlike Lego where you can make whatever you want from it... they ruin the basic concept of minecraft
Actually, no. Really play the mods first, then you'll see there's an immense amount of stuff you can do with a lot of it. Including adding tons of your most basic cube blocks that you can do whatever with.
They don't ruin anything. They add something extra that was never seen in this game and makes it more interesting because you actually build something that turns into a finished product instead of just seeming incomplete most of the time. Plus everything isn't just a bunch of blocks piled up anymore which may be appealing to some people who sometimes want more detailed stuff in this game.
+ReikasMinecraft hez reika i got some issues with building the plasma injectors its just dont work i did it multiple times myself on server and sp now the plasma injector just dont wana go in a multiblock i do did try to rebuild it i think its some bug wth the mod and server but i did it myself in singleplayer myself and now im trying it on multiplayer my own server can you please contact me and help me becuase i dont know how i can get it working ( solenoid was working fine with building )
+Spray_Like_Hell You've got something wrong then. Injectors don't get blocked by anything, you can build them touching other stuff just fine. You can try taking pics with details of what each piece is ( since they can look pretty much the same ) and post them on the forums: www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1291655-reikas-mods-tech-worldgen-civilization-and-more?page=1201 ) This diagram here works: vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/reikamods/images/c/c9/YZIugRp_-_Imgur.png/revision/latest?cb=20150204014420 Magnetic pipes are a required part of the multiblock. You also need to make sure you face the injector block the correct direction. ( Any other injectors need to face the same way. CW or CCW, either works. ) The + is where the plasma will come out.
Spray_Like_Hell It's pretty easy once you get it wrong once, to just keep repeating the same mistake. I've done it with the preheaters before. Glad you got it working at least!
I come back to this video every once in a while just to try to recapture that nostalgic Minecraft experience of not knowing something. Thanks for all your work in MC, Reika

"yo dude you want to play minecraft"
"hell yeah fam let me just get my particle physics textbook and we'll get started"
This is amazing. Who would have thought you could do something as complex as this in Minecraft. Keep it up! You earned yourself a subscriber!
so correct me if i'm wrong, but could you remove a couple of the neutrino (correct thing right?) absorbers in a certain area, in SMP you could potentially use that as a weapon?
A rather inefficient one, yes.
Remember, its the thought that counts.
but where is the EVIL LAUGH ????
mime, evil scientist, adventurer, miner, ect. ect.
is this minecraft now?
???
This is a mod, not vanilla.
i know but it look like its not minecraft
ReikasMinecraft Are to turbines from reactorcraft not finished yet because when I place them in the world they are just black blocks with inputs and outputs
Those are the high-pressure turbines, and they are part of a multiblock.
Do you work on reactors in real life or research them or something?
Not enough.
What?
Ok yes he does
Not enough research is done into nuclear rockets. :P
ReikasMinecraft
Too true. Back in the 60's and 70's my grandfather worked on NERVA.
Nothing is too complicated if you're an engineer! If you put your mind to it you can do it!
i found it very fascinating. now all i want to is check out more multiblock minecraft builds
This looks cool and all, but not something that i would ever build in survival.
We're building one right now on my server :)
Tony Allen w/out friends
All you'd need is a QuarryPlus, some tesseracts and an ME Storage network Stephen Wetmore there's only three of us working on the reactor.
Tony Allen Well, what are you guys even going to need all that power for? I guess power the entire server? Well, in single player i can't see my self ever needing that much power.
I am currently uploading a video showing such a need.
It doesn't let me put down the Toroid Magnets.
i cant place the toroid magnets for some reason
Thank u ive hav been trying to make this for ages and now ive found
u hav a new subscriber
Whoa, this look awesome!
I can't wrap my head around it though, but it's awesome! xD
This is the most over complicated mod I've ever seen
Actually, it's pretty simple.
Dumbass, the tutorial is 40 minutes long, of course it isn't simple
UltraMegaLolFilms300 40 minutes is pretty short...I'm pretty sure you can find tutorials on just vanilla redstone that is longer than that. NTM most of it is trying to figure out problems, or talking about other aspects of things, all sorts of stuff.
I can build a reactor in like 10 minutes. It's also so simple, I have it entirely memorized.
nobody asked.
Patience, my friend.
What would you do with 60 GW? Seriously? What could possibly need 60 GW of power?
I am using 9 or so in my survival world.
For what?
Mining, farming, centrifuging, harvesting, recycling, mob farms, mass-fab-ing, smelting, extracting...
So you have IC2 installed as well. That explains it. Nothing eats power like a mass fabricator, not even a compactor.
The mass fab eats a little over 600 MW. My Borers use four times that.
4:30 misaligned Toroid Magnet
I would consider this an interesting proof of concept mod. I can't picture myself trying to build this monster in survival.
You are the greatest
Minecraft builder
I made 50% of this reactor then deleted one brick and whole reactor exploded i though i will crush my keyboard!...
+lebka lol Yea, be careful about that:) It's the same with the turbines. If you break a block while it is rotating, you will get a nice explosion. Creative mode really needs a way to turn that off:(
zemerick13 well this thing happened with turbine...
+lebka lol Ah, well...now you know not to do it with the solenoid either. It's pretty much "If it's a multiblock that spins, don't break it while spinning."
zemerick13 I figured it out sadly this way xD
lebka lol Well, that's kinda better than me. I knew about it, but still accidentally hit my solenoid once while in creative mode. Thankfully, being creative and about my 20th reactor, I was able to rebuild in about 15 mins, hehe.
1.21 gigawatts!
BTTF ftw
Nodop
Du auch;D
Lol
IT WORK!!! I WAS FINALLY ABLE TO MAKE THE REACTOR!! THANK YOU!!!!
Even though i have no idea what your talking about, well now i understand every word but it was very complicating before so good job explaining.
um no thanks, ill stick with my lava generator XD.
That's fine if all you need is like a few hundred RF/t. This will produce a few hundred million RF/t though. And yes, Rotarycraft can absolutely make use of all of that power.
But when you have things like Big Reactors, this all seems a bit unnecessary.

these kinds of mods are like mega blocks vs a stack of Lego.. very specific pieces that only work in a very specific design... unlike Lego where you can make whatever you want from it... they ruin the basic concept of minecraft
Actually, no. Really play the mods first, then you'll see there's an immense amount of stuff you can do with a lot of it. Including adding tons of your most basic cube blocks that you can do whatever with.
Then the failure is in your imagination and design creativity.
They don't ruin anything. They add something extra that was never seen in this game and makes it more interesting because you actually build something that turns into a finished product instead of just seeming incomplete most of the time.
Plus everything isn't just a bunch of blocks piled up anymore which may be appealing to some people who sometimes want more detailed stuff in this game.
its like a lego kit
Thank you for adding the Tokamak blueprint highlighter. i now know why machine wasn't working. i would like to apologize for my previous comments
This appeared in my recommended and wow I miss these days
lol nerd voice
lol fool comment
You can try taking pics with details of what each piece is ( since they can look pretty much the same ) and post them on the forums: www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1291655-reikas-mods-tech-worldgen-civilization-and-more?page=1201 )
This diagram here works: vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/reikamods/images/c/c9/YZIugRp_-_Imgur.png/revision/latest?cb=20150204014420
Magnetic pipes are a required part of the multiblock.
You also need to make sure you face the injector block the correct direction. ( Any other injectors need to face the same way. CW or CCW, either works. ) The + is where the plasma will come out.
i know i did its 13 times before bt i got it working dont know how but got it
Spray_Like_Hell It's pretty easy once you get it wrong once, to just keep repeating the same mistake. I've done it with the preheaters before. Glad you got it working at least!
