ℹ️ About this Episode:
We drove right pass Black Canyon National Park the first time we were in south west Colorado because we didn't know about the park until it was too late and we regretted it ever since. Now, we have a second chance.
We really enjoyed ourselves at Black Canyon NP. If you're not into hiking, the park has some great scenic overlooks on the south rim and a fun drive down East Portal Road to the Gunnison River. The E Portal Rd drive has a 16% grade and is limited to vehicles under 22 feet, but the Gunnison River is worth the drive.
Black Canyon NP has some great hikes also. We hiked the Uplands Trail, Rim Rock Trail, and our favorite, The Warner Point trail. The Warner Point trail has a great view of the canyon and a great place to sit and relax while enjoying the views.
