Have this mowers and just got an Amazon carb. I’m new to all this but should I try to salvage the original carb? I’m going to attempt to swap carbs tomorrow.
Nice video Ken, everything was going good til you went all engineery on me with that talk of Pi's, circumference and multiply mumbo jumbo. Then I was about as lost as watching a HobbyMotor video. 🤣
Great content Ken. Your LawnBoy customer is extremely lucky to have you on his team! Thank you and have a wonderful week!🇺🇸
Thanks for watching. Maybe he’ll come back to me next time!
@KensSmallEngineRepair what model is that mower I need a coil
I know it was an aftermarket carburetor as soon as you said 1/2 inch didn't fit. Like the videos. keep them coming. Great stuff.
I might be wrong about this matter but I do believe that 13mm is The metric cousin of s.a.e 1/2 inch
13mm is 0.512 so it’s a tad larger
As I tell all customers who opt for Chinese parts, At Best you will have at least a 50/50 chance or less of getting a decent part.
Good find Brother.👍
Thanks Brother hope all is well with you and yours!
Lately I only trust hipa carbs. I don't know what carb you bought. It runs. That's the important thing Ken 🔧👍
I knew that was an aftermarket carb when the 1/2 didn't fit on the bowl nut. The bowl also looked to shiny and the primer looked almost new.
Ya the 13mm hex nut is a dead giveaway! Thanks for watching!
Very interesting on how that Welch plug was missing on that carb and that o-ring that came off also
Good one Ken I hope it was aHIPA carb that you put on
Amazonian Chinesium
Pi - I'll love the blueberry kind :-) Great video Ken - had the same happen with a chinese B&S clone
Great video
Thanks for watching!
What is the red skinny tube coming out to the air filter?
Vent hose
Math is hard. Curious, is there a passage into the carb where that missing welch plug is located?
Excellent fix Ken, owner has not a good running mower
Great advice Ken, never know what your going to get from china

Did you get the carburetor linkage in the right hole?
Nice, a guy on my channel called the China carb the a “Commi” carb lol. I need a working China carb for a K321
I’ve used the knock offs of the Carter 30s they actually work ok!
Entertaining video ken, 👍🏻
you can take the carb off right with the intake much easyer
Very true. Thanks for watching
Good work. Shame about the replacement carb.
I’ll put a Welch plug in it and have a spare. I just happen to have the same engine on a non starting Lawn Boy in my backyard!
@@KensSmallEngineRepair fair enough.
Didn't know there was gonna be a test at the end 🤣
Bonus points!!!!

I dunno why America still uses that antiquated imperial system of measurement
Too many of us have imperial tools!!
