Not even 1 other non super heroe comic made this list? Values put aside, most of my favorite comics arent super heroes, but are the 1940s thru the 1970s pulp magazine comics, or whatever theyre called, with the words astonishing, amazing, fantastic, suspense, weird, strange ect in their titles.
Thanks for sharing !! It all sounds about right, can't believe Amazing Fantasy #15 is more valuable than Detective Comics #27. The copy of Action Comics #1 that sold for 3 million was that Nicholas Cage's heirloom? I believe he had it stolen and decided to auction it after he got it back..
That's so cool. I wish I still had the passion for collecting comics. The most prized 12 issues I ever sold were the original Wildstorm Danger Girl books and Michael Turner's "Fathom".
It is sad to say I had owned 2 of these books when I was younger and I sold them because I was in need of cash they were not high grade x-men was probably 5.0 And avengers 6.5 I sold them back in 91😢
1) LOVE all the old covers: The Superman ones are outstanding. I need to look on eBay and see if there is a reprint of the Captain America I can afford….and that 1940 cover of Batman and Robin swinging through the city….it is hands down my favorite as it is so noir-ish, and truly represents a world long ago….it would have been a great time to live, I believe. 2) Finally, when I was a kid growing up in Atlanta, the Falcons had a weekly show, and I remember one of their top draft picks had used part of his bonus to buy a mint copy of Amazing Fantasy 15! He showed the comic and it looked great. I wonder if he still has it….if I could remember which player it was I would see if he’s on social media and ask.😉 3) EDIT to add I also love the cover of Avengers 4 with Captain America, and am a little surprised such an iconic issue didn’t make the list.
Yeah I agree with you! Those old covers are amazing. Old comic covers and old movie posters are the best. You said it perfectly when you said Batman 1 has that noir style. Reminds me of a Fellini film lol always a pleasure hearing from you!

Which country can you buy a house for $180k??? Where I live (New Zealand), the average house price is $1 million.
In Canada and the US you can get a small house for around that. Really nice houses usually cost above 500k though..

I own 2 copies of All Star Comics #8. 4.0 and 2.5. Lower grades, but still grails nonetheless
