  • Hi everyone! Check out me whipping up the classic Shrimp and Grits! Very simple recipe that can vary in so many ways, but always ends up good! Combination of shrimp, cheese, garlic, and bacon make this one a great comfort food. Enjoy
    INGREDIENTS:
    10 MEDIUM SIZE SHRIMP
    2 SLICES OF THICK BUTCHER BACON CUT INTO SMALL PCS
    2 CLOVES FRESH DICED GARLIC
    1/3 CUP GREEN CHIVES
    1 1/2 CUP SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE
    1/2 CUP HEAVY CREAM
    2 TSP BUTTER
    2 TSP BLACKENING SEASONING

    I love shrimp & grits yours looks devine, can you tell us how to make a gravy for it please?

      Apologies, I've never put gravy on shrimp and grits.

      Another channel had a shrimp and grits video with gravy using the fronds from cooking the bacon and shrimp. You can’t use a non-stick pan because you won’t get a nice fronds. It is best with stainless steel pan but a cast iron or carbon steel will do. You want a brown fronds not black or burnt fronds that comes from too high a heat. The author added a few tablespoons of cream and the sauce was a nice brown.
