I have the 200 so not sure. I use petrol saws (Aspen) when possible. They have a bit more go than the battery saws. And the Echo 2511 wes is alot lighter to hold than my battery saw. Electric saws are OK for detailing or using in a workshop, but are a bit sluggish for blocking out. What sort of thing are you going to carve with the 170?
