I teared up a bit. Your lyrics are absolutely beautiful. Not 1 to 1, but very much following the spirit of the original. Kinda reminds me of Nier: Automata's Weight of the World with how the english and japanese versions contrast. I love how you render "Kanarazu~" as "Trust me I know". I was just thinking the japanese word was more emotionally impactful for just having more syllables than the "Surely" it translates into. "Trust me I know" manages the same level of energy and emotion. "I won’t forget my _karma_ haunting me forever" I also like how you managed to keep 'karma' as the focal point of the verse, just like in the japanese verse: "sorezore no KARUMA wo utsusu tame no " Also this: We’re both here and alive We’ve been through so much but we’re okay That lonely light of hope reminds us Not to be afraid This hits *hard* . You ruined in. You had it, but then you ruined it. This might have been an actually decent English cover attempt of Karma, an insanely difficult-to-English-cover song, except _YOU ENDED IT WITH "TONIGHT"!_ That ruined the ENTIRE thing. There wasn't even originally a lyric in the spot you put it in!
I think it was good that way because spoilers below: The lyrics for the most part are about Luke and Tear, and Luke returns on the night of his 20th birthday where he reunites with Tear
