- This is Cole's Second Shot of Librela: Cole the English Springer Spaniel hasn't been feeling so well lately so we took him to the vet to get checked over. We worried that something was wrong or failing. Turns out his arthritis in his back was bothering him. We tried Metacam and Gabapentin but they both seemed to make him sleepy. So our vet recommended we try this once-a-month shot medication called Librela. Librela is a drug for the alleviation of pain associated with osteoarthritis in dogs. The medication contains a canine monoclonal antibody (mAb) which targets nerve growth factor (NGF). This inhibits NGF-mediated cell signaling which can provide relief from pain associated with osteoarthritis.

My english cocker spaniel suffers from Hansen Syndrome, and he had two prolapses in his back and a non-life for a year until we tried the combination: librela, laser and Chondrosyl. From the first treatment there were major changes. Today he runs and plays like before. I am in no doubt that librela saved his quality of life, and his life.

I have a German Shepherd that has had her second shot and it has helped her a lot. I am starting another dog on it today, she can’t walk on her back legs. Hoping it helps her too

Both of your Springers are beautiful. We lost our Springer to cancer last January. Hoping to get another. Springers are the absolute best breed we have ever had and we have had many.

My pup diesel just started the imbrela shot and it has helped but I've noticed he started to stare off just like just staring into space... He also was panting a good bit for the first week but it did subside. Just wondering if your pup has had anything like this after having the first shot?
Cole had one weird episode his first month where we couldn’t wake him from a deep sleep. Since then he has been fine with the shots. After his third shot he was a new dog. We are now trying to push the shots a bit longer. We were aiming for 5 weeks but we had a snow storm here and had to cancel. So now it will be more like 6 weeks. He really need his shot now. Hope your dog is has no side effects on his next shot.
What are the Velcro things to put on their toes to help them grip?
