Hi Orlando, I missed your videos, I purchased 3 Webinars with the online HR recruiter, I had a successful result, I would never find it anywhere else, I am so happy to have known your work, hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷
I've had mixed feedback about the process, it depends on the recruiters, whether they're rushing or not, many people versus few people on that day, there are so many factors to take into consideration.
I’ve been to two emirates final interview, failed both. I would really like to see a video based on the final interview and just go abit more in depth please! 😊
This sounds like HR setting themselves up as psychoanalysts. Ultimately the choice is based on personal biases. They are expecting a certain sort of answer - wh8ch is completely contrary to "outside the box". So, how much unconscious bias training do these recruiters get? Are they aware of their blind spots? Do they put the interviewee at ease? If not why not? Its a flight attendant job, not special ops in the military. And if it feels like the latter why does emirates run a commercial airline like its a combat zone ?
Good point. Emirates recruiters (usually) have a background in HR and/or psychology. They also have several years of cabin crew experience under their belt. The way they run their assessment days is not typical, very out of the ordinary. You're testing candidates to verify their impulses, their thought process under pressure, their handling of irate customers and their body language throughout. This complicated evaluation isn't necessarily aggressive, but it can sometimes during one particular simulation where the recruiter behaves like an upset client. Other than that, it's pretty neutral. Especially during the final interview. That's the moment where candidates are made comfortable and recruiters are quite approachable. There will always be some bias, that's undeniable, but the evaluation in big companies is now more streamlined, with multiple questions for several competencies with different weight in their scoring measurement. I find it very interesting, and it's great to have a filter that ensures quality. After all, these top candidates will represent your company in good and bad situations. You do want to ensure that during a medical case or restraining, your team is fast, clever and complies with company policies. Emirates optimized this very well I need to say
I attended an AD earlier this years this was the format of the process. From my point of view is easier than the previous format. But i was eliminated after the card/group activity. I really think that it was body language or in a moment that i haven't watched my mouth hahaha I reaplied but got rejected by the agency selection, what for me sounds weird bc since then o have more experience after working on a ship etc. So, the process is unpredictable and your videos are very helpful.
It's difficult when you go through a third party agency and then Emirates. You have 2 sets of eyes checking your CV and it's definitely riskier. I'm sorry you didn't make it! Pity. It might be body language, but might be something else too? I don't know cause I wasn't there obviously, but feel free to join our classes!
They rejected me at the first round of introducing yourself. My outfit and hair, makeup were perfect and clean. „I said: Hello everyone, i am happy to be here. My name is Sara and i have over 6 years of Customer Service experience. I worked as a Eventmanager and now i am currently serving as a police officer in Munich.“ I smiled the whole time. I was body posture was good. I really don’t understand what i did wrong and why i got rejected 😞
I'd really need to evaluate your body language or verbal output to better understand. What you said works, but it's hard to figure things out without having seen you
Hey Orlando, Thank u so much for this valuable content. I had my AD few days back and made it into the Final Interview. I went through ur videos when I was preparing for the interview & It really helped to ace the interview.. Now I'm eagerly waiting for the golden call.. Thanks again. Cheers 💕
thanks a lot for the information, hoping you'll also drop a video soon on clearing the final round of interview . I've an interview coming up in few weeks , it'll be really helpful if you make it soon : )
Hi Orlando, I've been watching your videos for the last month and I went for an assessment day by invitation, I passed through all the stages reached the final, they took photos of me and asked me to upload some files in the website and then I did the finally interview, it went really well and she liked me so much, she asked me to add some titles in my resume, so the HR team would like my profile and after 3 days I got rejection email, it's been two since and I still wonder what I did wrong, everything went perfect, and she hinted that I got accepted, do you any idea what went wrong?
It's really difficult to say, I wasn't there so it could be a variety of things. Maybe you weren't the top performing candidate, and she was saying this to all applicants not just you? Maybe she did want to hire you, but the final decision with HR preferred other candidates? Maybe your performance and final interview answers didn't convince as much as other applicants, or maybe your passport isn't as convenient as other applicants, and would require more work for visa sponsorship. There are many variables to take into consideration. It could also be body language.
During Christmas time we'll have another promotion. Please wait until we communicate it so you can get a 20% off. It runs from the 15th until the 5th of January
In my experience it's a risky move. You risk upsetting the recruiter if she/he recognizes you or your CV. I've dealt with this issue and had to blacklist candidates.
what are the chances of getting the Golden Call if the overall assessment day was positive but one answer of the questions in the final interview was wrong?
It could be fine, it depends whether that question was for the same competency evaluation or not, if you contradicted yourself or not, many factors. It's hard to say
Thank you so much for all efforts to help us .. but I have a question when it’s my time to introduce my self with my experience in customer services did I need to talk only about what type of job I worked or did I need to speak about my jobs and what was my the tasks in that job ( because I heard that we need to introduce our selves in less than a minute ) that’s why I asked you did I need to go into details and explain what was I’m doing exactly when I was working as sales assistant or did I need only to mention that I was working as sales assistant and that’s it ???
You need to be brief yes. Just your job is sufficient. If you're talking fast and time allows, explain where you worked, what did you actually do. But be brief
Hello Sir! Thankyou so much for this valuable content. I have got something really concerning to ask. I'm currently working as a receptionist in a medical sector but I'm only doing this to gain experience in customer service so that I can be an Emirates crew. I just want to know if I'm on the right path, or do we need that experience only in hospitality industry? Please answer 🥺
Thank you so much for the video! I have learned a lot about the requirement process. I have a question: I study in Venice, Italy and this is my last year in the University but still tried to apply for open day in Venice which will be held in 11th of January, unfortunately, I didn’t get any answer(( Can it be because I am from another country and study here and also haven’t finished yet? I really wanted to try… Thank you for the answer in advance.
No reason to get nervous, I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I always say, imagine it as if it was a game! You'll have fun and get the job much easier. It's important to know what to say, what to expect ahead of time, but also taking it lightly, being loose and smooth. Of course you have a chance
Hi Orlando, greetings from Brasil! First things first thank you so much for your video, it surely is so helpful. I’d like to ask you if being overweight at the selection stage is eliminatory. I’ve seen videos of cabin crews’ experiences on their Assessment Day and they never mention if their weight is checked, only mention about the height tests! I’ve heard once that it is eliminatory, would it be true?
Hi, thanks for your help, every one of your videos is so useful. I’m curious, in general, is it bad if we make it to the final interview for the first time and get rejected, but then continue applying? Do they see it as some kind of flaw if we didn’t succeed earlier? Do other candidates ( who make it to the final) have an advantage because of that? Thanks, and keep up the great work with your videos! :)
Hi there and thanks for your nice comment! No, everyone has a right to not pass and improve, I don't believe it's an issue at all. Many got hired after repeated tries, I know them and they're in first class Emirates ! :) Just keep applying, but also improving your CV, overall experience and body language. Your CV might be the problem if you reached the final interview but not passed. Especially if you know you answered the questions well.
@ yes like if there are 5 people in a situation, we should choose one and justify it as a group. But, last AD they asked each individual in the group to give a solution for the other 4 people in the situation. I got eliminated as I was the last person.. I think that gave off lack of leadership.
Recruiters might test you further sometimes and ask what would you do with the other clients that didn't get what they paid for, so in that case you definitely need to provide solutions. We did a really great video about this, did you check other videos we made in the past? They're all relevant and cover this in depth. Sometimes recruiters impersonate the clients to whom you did not give a room to, that's even scarier! :)
I'm super sorry but we made so many videos, it's really hard to narrow down to exactly which one it was. But I'm super sure we did. We will do new videos about the group assessments again, with the updated exercises. But unfortunately it will take some time before we make them and publish them

It will come to our country on the 9th from Emirates but I will not be able to go there. How long will it take to come back? So sad😔😔😔 And Please tell me is Qater airways good? Is it Emirates?
It depends where you are, I don't know. Usually on their site is the best place to find these things out. Qatar airways is great but the living regulations of cabin crew imposed by the airline might not yet be the best. But it's a really great airline
Emirates should not just be ‘picky’ for their new recruits but should also hold interviews every 5 years as some of the crew tend to be jaded and no longer have any passion for their job…. Business class service feels ‘meh’ nowadays compared to even a few years ago.
I'd recommend watching our videos! That helps a lot! Practice with friends and if really serious, consider investing in our online guides, ebooks and courses! They are really helpful
It depends if it's your dream job or not, if it's something you know you'll always want. When I was passionate about aviation I bought flight simulators, books, games, accessories for it, so if it's your passion, definitely worth investing. Also you can already apply for other airlines that accept under 21 years of age, gain experience and then at 21 move to emirates. So this preparation is good for that purpose too.
@@WishCasting ok can you give me Airlines that accept under 21 years old .i do live in Algeria and i am 19 i have a b1 level like good communication skills yeah i do also speak french and arabic little bit of spanish .could you please recomend a course for me because i don’t from where to start because this needs good communication skills and maybe good expérience in customer service.give me some advices please. And thank you so much because you gived alot of motivation and hope . I knowed juste waithing to join emirates is not à write decision....
@WishCasting yeah. It seems that the assessment day is not difficult.because I'm in hospitality management for two years specialized in accommodations and reception service. It looks familiar in some points
Four years of experience? And youre telling the world how it works? Dude, thats ridiculous ….. in all big Airlines (except EK) you find Lots of flight attendants with 20 or more years of experience ….
So challenging! I like the energy. Well I've had more experience in another EU airline too, I just didn't mention it, but let's say it's enough first hand experience to combine with the HR TA experience I gained in the last 5 years. Plus, I have experience with video production and everything it comes with it. That's a hurdle many very experienced and older crew have and don't feel like crossing/learning. Sharing with the world is not easy, it takes a bunch of effort, that's why 95% of the world is a consumer and 5% is creating on UA-cam. Let's not forget, not all seniors are good teachers, know how to speak in front of a camera, or even care! Please find a creator with enough experience and stick with him/her? You don't really need to stick around if you're unhappy. What can I say James? 🙃

Emirates should not just be ‘picky’ for their new recruits but should also hold interviews every 5 years as some of the crew tend to be jaded and no longer have any passion for their job…. Business class service feels ‘meh’ nowadays compared to even a few years ago.
I couldn't agree more! And you're not the first saying this!
Sir can sardaar sikh boys can apply for cabin crew position please tell
You definitely can! Everyone can. But you cannot wear anything else other than the uniform. That can be an issue
I am 19 how can i efectvly prépare for my dream job
I'd recommend watching our videos! That helps a lot! Practice with friends and if really serious, consider investing in our online guides, ebooks and courses! They are really helpful
@WishCasting yes but what do u think to start courses from now ? I am 19
Is there have any chance 35 yrs ppl can attend to open day??
It could be difficult, but you should try. Trying never hurts
Age 30 or over 30 ,do they hire?
Yes, I witnessed 34, but could be okay to have even more
I'm from Morocco I have assessment day in 24 Dec .

Good luck!!! Wow on the 24th? I'm surprised they also hire on Christmas Eve!
@WishCasting yeah. It seems that the assessment day is not difficult.because I'm in hospitality management for two years specialized in accommodations and reception service. It looks familiar in some points

Is it okay to have facial hairs and mustache?
As a Cabin Crew not. As an applicant it would be best not to have it
You mean "no"
I've seen few cabin crews with mustache and beard some from UAE and Pakistan that's why i asked
What if you don't have customer service experience, should you still apply?
@wishcasting
Dear sir i have applied for the position " Cargo operations Agent" ( SkyCargo ) could you please put light on it , it has same procedure?
I think the process is similar for your application. But the assessment will be completely different surely.
All those nonsense just to be treated like a modern slave and a glorified servicer in a high class restaurant.
You’ve scared me
ups! :)
Wow, just to get a waitress job. I'll pass.
:D Love how you clicked on the video though!
Awwwww honey! You think you can pass the interview with this mentality? Good luck 😊
😂
How to buy this book from india plzzz help me out
Four years of experience?
I will have my first assessment day after two weeks, you won’t believe how precious this video is for me,
Thankyou sir 🥲🥲😇
Hi Orlando, greetings from Brasil! First things first thank you so much for your video, it surely is so helpful. I’d like to ask you if being overweight at the selection stage is eliminatory. I’ve seen videos of cabin crews’ experiences on their Assessment Day and they never mention if their weight is checked, only mention about the height tests! I’ve heard once that it is eliminatory, would it be true?
