Just did mine last night. I had a new exhaust installed, and could only find a Bosch O2 sensor... Service engine light has been on since, then getting the surge in rpm for no reason. I bought the correct ACDelco O2 sensor to replace that Bosch. Oh, 22mm wrench had it out in seconds. Well, it did not act up on the way home last night, as it normally starts to act up roughly 5 miles from the house. Finger's crossed, will need to reset the computer and turn off the SE light.
That old Buick was very tidy underneath. Surely a new exhaust has been put in for the sensor to come out so easily. Maybe it was the special Jim shock technique on that wrench!
@@michaelwright1602 I appreciate your input. Sadly, this car is now retired. Pretty reliable car overall but very unreliable body, rusted rocker panels, rusted radiator support and rusted strut towers.
Jim, I wish your garage was closer to me. Your one of the best mechanics I've seen. Jim, Jim, your the man, if you can't fix it nobody can!
I'm happy to help. Thanks for watching. Don't forget to hit the bell for notifications when a new video is posted.
I like it. Working on an older car is more my speed. The rust hasn't been too bad on that one. :)
Hi Wyatt, I also like the older cars . I hope everything is ok with you
ahhhh! I love when they come out that easy! that gen 3.8 was the best motor gm ever made
This one came out very easy. It makes up for all the rusty ones that you need to heat in order to get it out.
Yep came out to easy Jim! Nice job!
Hahaha thats because I make it look easy.

Thumbs up Jim!

Hahaha yes this did come out very easy. I would say that it was skill but honestly I just got lucky.
Thanks bud great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Well that sensor came out awfully easy...
I would say it is my skill but truthfully it did come out to easy. Thanks for watching
Send me all your bad sensors so I can make connectors for my pico 😂😂 thanks for sharing I’m in RI I have to heat just about every oxygen sensor I see.
Oh yea the rust and corrosion will drive you to drink. Lol . I was just in RI this weekend.
jimthecarguy Excactly LoL. What part of RI where you in? I wish spring would be here Newport is great when weather is nice
Did the service soon light ever go off?
Awesome
Thank you
What size socket wrench did you use?
22mm open end wrench had mine off rather quickly. They recommend 35 ftlbs of torque when replacing the old one, and use anti-sieze on the threads.

Thanks for being first. I hope you are doing ok.
