There are a lot of fun mechanics in Spelunky 2 and not all of them are super useful, but this video is meant to demonstrate less commonly known pieces of information that can be helpful!

An additional thing related to not taking damage from jungle spikes, You won't take damage from the side if you're wearing climbing gloves.
ONLY if you are climbing, if you walk into them you will still take damage
I've played thousands of hours in Spelunky HD and hundreds in Spelunky 2, but I still learned something new. I think I'm just bad at this game. Either way - Thanks!
For jumpable enemies, if you jump once you land on them, you'll get some extra height.
I've kited bats towards high ledges to exploit this. It can save you a rope if you get the timing right.
Wow Utaushio! It may be shocking, but I did not know you could descend with the hoverpack OR hired hands get more well-behaved (I don't take hired hands or hoverpacks but I take climbing gloves). Thanks for the tips!

Also, about tip 9 at 7:57, not only do shoes protect you from walking on the spikes, but you can jump into the walls safely and even climb them if you've got the climbing gloves.
spring boots also work as a thorn deterrent

Btw Mounts can also walk on spike blocks.
Hi :) , do you know when you throw for example on a bat, your pet (the one which give one point of life) - is the pet loosing life? it's not clear for me. I discover, recently that carrying a dead body is protecting you from arrow.
Throwing a pet at an enemy doesn't hurt them. :)

Small question to tip 2, does the extra light in dark levels also apply to the Udjat Eye?
No it doesn't. It's one of the few perks of the spectacles but not the Udjat Eye.

Why would you include so many visual spoilers in a beginner video?? There is no need to show the final boss in order to demonstrate the jetpack. Good tips, but please think a bit about what you are showing before posting. At least include spoiler warnings.
