I’ve got to say I’m really impressed with the xTool M1. It combines the laser cutter and blade cutter so well that it enables you to create something on the widest range of materials as possible. If you are a creator and want one flawless hybrid laser & blade cutter and engraver, I think this is the one.

I'm a graphic/ industrial designer & 3d generalist and I do graffiti & paintings. I've got a cameo 4 that use mostly for stencils, masks, etc. Adding a laser cutter will give me the possibility of doing 3d - layered things. We have to wait to see ;)

I'm sold after your video, this seems too good to be true especially when considering the price. But I will have to wait for more material tests, more blade cutting tests on different materials. 10W laser cutter is good enough. Great video Sami! This is the only real hands-on video I can find on the planet, lol

What if I wanted to engrave a large map of the world on my kitchen table? Would this be up to the task? I see that you can remove the base. Can you engrave on whatever is underneath? And is it possible to do a large engraving piece by piece?

Why did u use foil when cutting the 3mm basswood? It seems it doesn't have a crumb tray. Do we have to take precautions to protect the base?
Hi, that foil is used to protect the base :DDD Yes, you see whenever I engrave or cut something in the video I always put a cushion on top of the base, they come with a mat in the package :D
What is the difference between the 5w and 10w?
When do we need to use the exhaust fan? They mentioned there's a kit that connects to the window?
Hey they have a built-in exhaust fan, so when you laser cutting or engraving something you can just connect to an exhaust pipe (which they include in the package ) near to your window, easy :D

Hey Sami, can you advise about replacement Blades? Is that a standard type of size that's easily replaceable? Like something you'd put in a cricut? Just tying to figure out how I'd source new blades after the ones which come with the M1 run out

Hello! From the video looks like they use roland standard blades. The very common ones. In fact all the home cuttters no mater the brand has the possibility to add this blades with attachments. Hope it helps. I’m also very interested in the machine. Best regards
@@camshand Hey just got a reply from Makeblock, it's the Roland blade just Albert said, lol. Also I asked about the lifespan of such blades, they said it depends on how often you use it, if you use it a couple of hours a day, it should last for several months.
@@SamiLuo Nice they go for a standard thing instead of propietary. They do wear, but as you say it depends on the use and mostly the material you're cutting. Anyway, they're super cheap in packs of 10 in the famous sites. As you're the lucky one who has already tested it, do you think is worth the investment (it looks like a Yes to me) the early bird price is sooo nice not to try ;) Best regards.

Hi Sami. Are you willing to laser cut an intricate design on cardstock to see how well it cuts and how long it takes? That is the only thing I would be using this machine for. I can send you the artwork. If it works well I would definitely buy the XTool M1.

No, the only App supports that spatial audio is iQiyi, a Chinese video platform. Yeah, currently only Civi phone, very sad

Can you engrave metal with this. I like to make metal debit cards but will this work for that?
Yes, you can engrave metal on it and it surely can perform good on your metal cards, as long as they are not silver or gold :DDD

@@stephanemorrell5253 No, it can't if it's pure gold or silver. If you want a portable laser engraver for all metal, then I would recommend that Mr Carve M1 I've reviewed before, you can find in my previous video :DD
@@SamiLuo Well I still need a laser cutter though , not just an engraver ( specifically to cut thick 4oz leather ) . I just wanted to make sure I understood that this won't engrave those metals. Thanks!

I bought the machine, but the program is different most of the functions don´t work- very disappointing
Bought this and it broke in 2 days solder joints weak poor craftsmanship. Company doesn’t honor warranty just gives you a runaround. Don’t buy this you will have nothing but headaches and a machine that doesn’t work.
