Congratulations!!! I have been wanting one for so long. So happy for you.
I am so happy for you...I too have been eyeing this. Congrats!!!
Thank you for taking the time to do this! I am able to save my projects using the xTool software so I am not sure why you are not seeing that option. Also I have instructions in my manual and online that you can take to outer casing off and then use this for large projects the need to be processed using pass-thru functionality. Overall I love your informative video and explanations but I think there may be some options you didn't have at the time this video was made.
I agree with you. I have both the M1 and a silhouette.
Just for vinyl cutting M1 is fun but I find it slower in the process as I have to hunker down inside the machine to load a sheet.
Software is still behind silhouette and cricut space which are even better.
Overall I got this machine for other features. Good review, I found the same likes and dislikes.
Thanks I’m excited to finally open my M1🌹
Great review it really helped with making my decision on which cutter to buy.
fantastic review and pros and cons. THANK YOU!
Thank you for sharing! I just got the 10W. We shall see what happens. 😊
Excellent unboxing and first time use !!! I’m sold and will be buying !
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you this was very clear and concise
Great review!
Great video, helped a lot. thanks so much
This makes me so excited to try this machine, I’m only halfway through your video and I already know I need it. 😂Probably won’t use it for blade cutting though.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for the review!
Glad it was helpful!
Close the lock between the height and width and it should keep you image from skewing when you try to resize
Thanks for the video. Is the camera acurate enough to allow print and cut?
Thanks for the video. I have a Cricut Maker and the 20w laser. I was looking at this to possibly replace my Cricut but at this point I definitely won’t.
I was thinking that about getting the m1 but the 20w laser has me thinking that I should get the 20 w instead. I have a cricut maker too. How is the 20w?
Thank you for the video ❤
Are you able to score and cut at the same time? Or did you score first then laser? Did you also group them?
Very helpful. Thank YOU.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi, nice video love it, about the resizing the images (scale) its easy to fix it, just go on the lock for the W and H.
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for posting the video.
I bought the same machine but mine makes a lot of humming sound when sitting idle. It seems to be coming from the motherboard fan.
Does your machine do that as well?
great review nice
I can’t get my m 1 to cut through my 3mm wood I’ve tried different settings so I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong can you help me?
Chris if you close the lock when your image is selected then it will resize properly. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the tip!
Hi 👋🏻 can you use this with an iPad Pro and iPhone?? 😊
This machine can cut acrylic 5.5mm one pass ??
Thank you !
Thank you 😊
I ordered one not realizing I can't use a chromebook what type of laptop are you using
Can you so a video cutting cardstock with the laser ? PLEASE 🙏🏻 TIA 😊
How can i do a picture?
Hello, I was also selected for the promotion of M1. How many devices have been sold through you so far, thank you
Very good video! Did you figure out if it had a lock feature so the files doesn't get distorted? I have hearing loss & sometime (even with cc) I don't understand what is being said. Also, where do you buy the add on filter? Didn't see it on the Amazon links.
Yes I did find it. There's a little lock on the top menu like in Cricut Design Space. And I did forget the link to the filter! Thanks for pointing that out, I'll get it added.
@@DailyDoseofDIY, thank you!
Thank you so much for making this video. I am looking for a machine that will cut ribbon with heat to seal the ends. Will this machine do that? Thank you so much.
I don't believe it will, but I haven't tried either.
Thank you for sharing, I want to know if it will engrave tumblers like that or do I need to buy something else to laser tumblers?
Yes it will, you'll need to buy the rotary attachment or a bundle that includes it.
It seems better for engraving but the cost may not outweigh the benefits for now.
Does cut any type of acrylic sheets? I'm really interested as I work more with acrylic. Thank you ❤
Not clear nor blue
Do you think it’s a good idea to plug the vent on a drier exhaust plug?
I don't know about that one. It would work in theory, but lint is so flammable that might be too much of a risk.
Does it cut wood, basswood and plywood, thin of course for dollhouse funiture
Yes the 5 watt up to 1/8 inch thick and the 10 watt 1/4 inch thick
I currently live and travel in a travel trailer. Do you think there are any issues using this inside the camper?
I would vent it out a window for sure. But it’s small enough to fit on a table, so space wise it should work
Can you repass (re-cut) a cutting, like on a maker?
You can, it would be easier if you didn’t move it. But you could also relign it up with the camera for laser cutting.
For blade cutting test the vinyl before you take out the mat.
Are you able to scan something from a piece of paper or save it as a document and transfer it to engrave on a necklace? Say a dogs paw print that was done in ink and than engrave it on a pendant?
You just take a photo of it with your mobile and upload it to the software
Well, Chris, your new toy is very cool! I’ve never seen anything like that. I can’t wait to see what creations you come up with!
Oh, love your barn! We have two nice garages, but I live in Texas, so it’s too hot 9 months of the year to work out there.
Thanks! We're in the high heat and humidity part of our year with many days over 100 heat index, but I imagine it's worse in Texas! I love visiting there during the winter months =)
Did they put air assist on it yet?
They have an add on now www.xtool.com/products/xtool-air-assist-set?variant=43322034716911¤cy=USD&gclid=CjwKCAjwh4ObBhAzEiwAHzZYUx8T8jzCqX1MsFEbvziwQLA705Eln4EOOZUPFU9bCMotH2UlulA9YxoC7j8QAvD_BwE
Is this able to cut sheets of acrylic?
The laser is a diode laser so can’t cut clear type acrylic. It will cut black and solid colour acrylic
Thanks Luke!
Mhm this is the 2nd video I've seen this "pixely" Font on an engraving. Is it really that "ugly"? I do laser engraving on keychains and i am mainly interested in that thing because of the camera function. Is it possible to put, let's say some circular leather in it and center a round motive exactly on that? I've seen that in the promo video of xTool but never in real life.
Nice Video btw!
Thanks! I am going to be engraving some leather this weekend, so I'll let you know how it turns out.
Iam waiting for more lessons of xxtool😢
Does this only work with Mac?
No it will work on windows too. Plus they have apps for mobiles devices
@@DailyDoseofDIY Can you tell me the name of the app - I'd like to review it before I make the decision to purchase. Thanks.
You can save your projects.
Ouch 10 mins just to cut vinyl that's stupidly long lol and it didn't even cut haha this is a jack of all trades master of none
I can't get past how slow your computer is I highly suggest upgrading
I hate my xtool - if my glowforge would engrave tumblers i would never have bought it - it nevers works for engraving
STAY AWAY FROM THE M1 UNTIL THEY GET IT WORKING WITH LIGHTBURN!!!!!!
Otherwise its just a Glow Forge and Cricket in one box
Purchased this because of the built-in camera. Camera is massively inaccurate rendering it completely useless. Even the framing is much too fast to see where you're placing your design. So far X-Tool have been completely useless in assisting.
Awful machine. Avoid at ALL costs.
The only issue I’ve had so far was when I had it marked that I was using the risers when I wasn’t using them. That threw the design off. Otherwise it’s been perfect for me
@@DailyDoseofDIY Interesting. I have been in touch with XTool who have told me the camera is inaccurate by design given it is a fisheye lens. Can you confirm if you placed a piece of ply down in your machine and used the camera to place your design, would it etch exactly where you placed it or is it in any way off?
Friend,I really appreciate your work. We are looking for reviewers, would you like to review Longer's 3D printer & laser engraver?
Does it cut out clear acrylic?
