I decided not to add commentary since the campaign is so story driven and has a lot of conversational elements. I think it stands on its own best without my jabbering. I will make a review once I finish the campaign and also will commentate some multiplayer and war games battles.
My only complaint, and this is a small one. There's no way to delay hyperspace. Other than deliberately not destroying an objective or hoping you don't start an event with a probe. If there is a way, I wasn't able to find it during my playthrough. I rather enjoyed gathering all the RUs on the map and getting my fleet set up for the next mission.
Really looking forward to playing this tomorrow. I only have one minor gripe, I really wish we'd get to decide when to hyperspace out of mission maps ourselves. Being able to explore, harvest and generally just relax after beating a mission in the old games felt like such a nice little reward to me.
Thanks. The story has been so nice so far I just wanted people to experience it. My talking would just get in the way. I want to play some multi-player though and discuss tactics and builds eventually.
@@Ariranhaa Graphics aren't that much better than the remastered games, true... but there are alot more objects in the maps and they added back in physical bullets and beam weapons.
You don’t need a good computer when you can get ROG ALLY z1 extreme with docking to connect wireless keyboard & mouse & a monitor. Much cheaper at least half the price of a gaming laptop and not to mention, much powerful than a gaming laptop at least for mine haha.
Definitely beautiful and looks to control easily. I love the comms chatter similar to DoK. Was there any kind of unit-scaling going on? Some of the interceptors seemed to get really close to the enemy. The smoke trails are a nice addition, though they seem to repeat very noticeably.
I thought the campaign was very nice. Some breathtaking set pieces. Beat the majority of it this weekend and just finished before bed. Looking forward to your review.
This looks VERY good. it almost makes me wonder if they absorbed a bunch of experienced talent from elsewhere. It looks like a game with current gen tech from another time period. As for your thoughts on no commentary, I can see why you wanted to. I kind of would like to hear what you're doing during combat, since so much can be happening at once in these types of games. A good compromise might be to use the premiere feature, be present during the live chat for it, and then leave chat available into the future. (Presuming this is not something restricted to larger channels, I don't know if it is. This feature came about after I stopped making things on youtube myself.)
The same soul as the first games. I look forward to seeing if the same kind of difficulty management exists, or what kind of special encounters are thrown in to keep the ride bumpy, ala the asteroid mission or the ship graveyard.
The detail of collectors docking onto the controller and boosting its speed was a stroke of genius. Also integrating them all into one single operation/unit beautiful as well. Although the resource crates just disappearing like that at 7:19 is yet another lazy incomplete modern game trope. Even HW2 had the decency of properly picking up and taking it to the mothership bay. If you didn't want to do that, you should have just made them into dissolving asteroids or something like that.
Only 2 missions in and already im having quite a few complaints.... This is going to be a rough campaign to go through... I hate that this is freaking HOMEWORLD thats making me feel this way.
Intel looks like he could get s**t done in his sleep. S'Jet... I guess she fell face down on the concrete when she was a baby. The defense turrets on the mothership completely lack a sense of scale and... on rails? WTF is going on with the design team?

A good decision! Though, I still missed your jabbering.
Its been a long 25 years. That music still gives me chills more than any other game to this day.

The Deserts of Kharak Baserunners as support vehicles for the grounds crews was a nice little nod!
Agreed. I saw that as well.
It's so cool that the original captain from 1&2 got a promotion to admiral
This game seems to stay true to the series and it's roots from my experience so far. Really nice to see.
I had to check the timeline but there is over a century between games lol I'm pretty each Intel is a new character
love the piano rendition of the Adagio for Strings in the opening cutscene
As do I
Thank GOD someone remembers how to use the sensor's manager...and apparently has SOME understanding of the games mechanics too.
IK that other guy never used any of his stuff
@@spoork9443 Which one?
Enjoyed this run, hope to see more!
Great idea on the no commentary. I have been looking forward to this one.

I'm glad you are playing this Heir and I can't wait to get my own copy. Enjoy!
It seems like the vastness of mysterious dark empty space is gone and you're just flying around on a busy back-drop.
Oh fuck i can feel it, in my skin, in my heart, i waited this moment for years, i feel so happy!
The music is so on-point. Obviously the graphics and 3D battlespace is super cool, but the music has always been my favorite part of Homeworld.
This games music, art, and style feel like Homeworld is supposed to in my opinion. Homeworld had music you never forgot.
I'm loving the speedy docking procedures for strike craft faster then 2...
Yes! I was waiting for this!
I'm very jealous. I grew up with Homeworld 1 and I loved Homeworld 2, but I don't have a computer that could run Homeworld 3.
Graphics seem copy/paste from HW 2, tho

I can't wait till I can play this new chapter

For some reason the audio in cinematic isn't working for me. Looks like I'll be heading back here for every cinematic until it's fixed. 😅
28:03 Thought that was a bug for a moment but they handled it hilariously
is the engineering guy Nathan Fillion?
I played the original hw decad3s ago… will I need a top spec pc to play hw3?

GOD IT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!!!!

This could be possible

Can we get a Heir's Director audio cut afterwards? 😁😁
Oo intresting 😊
there are some graphical glitches regarding the animations, but overall looks nice
looks funn
how they using engines designed for outer space inside a atmosphere...it should explode.

Yeeeeessssss
The storyline is what I wanted Homeworld 2 to be.
I'm sad they moved away from the mechanical drawing art style from 1 and 2
I agreed
This is a copy of original Homeworld 1st mission I was there
I really dont think HW3 should have been about the same kith... the sjet story is tired at this point.
Why cant they make pretty charancters and NPCs anymore?
50£ for this.. No TY!
Thanks for the video!
I can't watch these videos man . I hate these playthroughs with no voice
The game was ruined because I didn't like that girl.
They need to bring Halo Cortana.
To much woke shit in this game!
and again multiculti , pfuu, i don't buy this
Racist, or...?
