Tommy: Amico games can only run on the Amico
Also Tommy: Here's a demo of Moon Patrol for the iPhone.
And a demo of Breakout for Windows
When that guy said "Tommy's a good guy" clearly he meant the one that used to call into the podcast to leave voicemails every week. And I agree, that Tommy seems like a really good guy!
I agree. 😊
That guy should do some voice overs with Tommy's presentation vids.
Boooooooom
The Tommy that left voice mails seems significantly less unhinged than the Tommy that we’ve seen with our eyes
That might be true to a select few close to him that he cares about
Please never stop uploading, we love the work that you and Ian put into the show.
I had a great time at Retropalooza. It was a pleasure to meet Pat and the SNES collection book is a thing of beauty. Pat looks like he has a time machine with a treadmill in it.
A Cosmic Treadmill?
Shirtless shill told Phil Adam in a video "Phil Adam use me.." I found that repulsive, to think he can stink any lower astounds me
"maybe you could have him on the podcast" is the nail in the coffin of these encounters lol
It cracks me up that in both encounters someone goes from being hostile and confrontational and then ends the encounter suggesting/demanding someone Patrizio and Ian don’t like be on the podcast. As of that was ever gonna happen 😂
I can tell how much Ian loves the SEALED voice thingy 🤣
I feel like Ian wasn't feeling up for it in general on this episode.
@@deathisaprimitiveconcept real seemes like he was alittle annoyed in general
@@dextersbeard3472 he’s going through a lot in his personal life rn
@@ponygrrrl I see, I know I get like this some times as well when i have alot going on and im feeling stressed., Pat rolled with it well throughout the podcast instead of getting upset in response.
That one and the "pat and Ian f you!" Always kills me. What is the f you audio from?
lol I saw this guy walking around in the Amico shirt at the con and assumed he was doing it ironically. Guess I was wrong 😂
2 of us put Amico shirts on and went to buy pats books to have a little fun lol…
@@CaseyNydahl Thanks for doing that! :p
@@PatTheNESpunk we had no idea about those other incidents and they were definitely not from the intellivision booth. Lol.
Yeah Casey and I did go by your booth with Amico shirts. But it was for good fun. This also explains Ian's look on his face.... "is this an ambush or am I being punked look!"
And I also know for a fact the guy you had the confrontation with wasn't from the intellivision booth!!!!!
Ian deserved backlash from SNES lovers tho!!
I guess they had to be pretty uninformed to be Amico fans in the first place - but to STAY that way, after two years of delays and excuses just seems like willful ignorance.
The people that still think Amico has a chance either don't follow it much, or listen to everything the company says and treat it as gospel. There's little in-between.
Nah, it’s just another case of sunk cost fallacy. The guy probably spent a good chunk of money on the crowdfunding campaign, refuses to accept he was scammed and is now looking for a third party to blame.
Most likely just trapped in the amico echo chamber. He's probably only ever seen or heard about the CU podcast through out of context clips, 2nd hand information and straight up made up shit on forums/reddit. I have to say that echo chamber's got to be getting pretty lonely these days.
very well stated
We at least know they jumped on the bandwagon pretty late in the game to get the impression that Pat and Ian were the ones starting drama with Tommy lol. According to Ian's story though the guy never really mentioned Amico but rather was just fixated on Tommy lol.
I love how Norm was there to witness both incidents.
Norm was not there for my incident on the Friday night. He probably would have been laughing at the situation had he witnessed it.
Norm is the instigator! It's the quite ones you've got to watch
Normcore ftw
@@PatTheNESpunk You're right. I don't know why I confused your pizza date with that lol
"That's not being nice, Cartman, that's just wearing a nice shirt"
Why is it that whenever things like these go fucky the first response is "You should have let me/the guy behind the idea on the podcast to smooth things out" like... why?
I think guys like Tommy believe they can use their talking skills and “charisma” to win people over in a conversation by hiding the facts and focusing on personalities
I will be sad when the Amico finally folds. These are too much fun lol.
It was a fun ride. I just feel bad for all the people who lost money.
@@ShadyPlatinum777 At first yes but if they are still giving them money I don't feel bad at all.
The console: Amico; The vocal fans: passivo aggressivo
Tommy couldn't have picked a more ironic name for his console if he tried.
This is too funny to watch now with Tallarico's actual reputation.
Love that last point about maturing is when you don’t feel s need to acquiesce to someone else’s hostilities. It’s like when i was early in my adulthood i put up with a lot of crap in my first part time job because i desperately wanted to save up for a graphics tablet and basically couldn’t afford to tell people that were pushing me off to go cram it with walnuts. But nowadays I’m older and don’t have to put up with anywhere near as much crap as before.
Just recently i got into a heated argument with someone iv was previously on friendly terms with over a particular thing about cannabis and driving impaired. Honestly i didn’t really care that he had a different view to mine but the way he was arguing his position was so disrespectful that i ended up saying to him that his of “it IS because I say it IS” style of arguing may work on his son and other children but when trying to convince a fellow adult you need evidence and a convincing argument if you hope to sway them to your point of view. The more you try to grow beat them in s father knows best kinda way the more you’re gonna convince them that you’re fulla shit
Ian's dejected sewer people ramble was great.
I’ve been waiting to hear this story lol. I shouldn’t be surprised this stuff happens but yet I still am. I think I’m more baffled that a Tommy fan still exists and wanted to even confront you about him.
Our bodies are ready
Ian's face in the thumbnail says, "I've had more than enough of this shit."
Ian almost sounded believable when he said "my personal favorite, cherry pie"
This must be like the 14th Amico supporter you’ve had a personal encounter/argument with. Out of all 17 supporters it had. Including Tommy.
I wish there could be clear closure to the Amico fiasco. How does something like this end? Bankruptcy and everyone disappears?
How was anyone excited for Amico? I never thought “hey, I want to play upscaled 2600 games for $200”.. it’s strange.
It was all just 40 plus yo fan boys who remembered it from their youth, they knew what it was but because it had the name intellivision they had to love it.
Gotta love the simple-minded, easy to manipulate folks, eh? Get'em Ian! lol
"Sewer people" is a bit mean to actual sewer dwellers. Lotta good folks live in sewers. TMNT, Darkman, Ron Perlman in Beauty and the Beast, the Morlocks from X-Men... They don't deserve to be compared to those jerkfaces who attacked you.
This is fair
How ironic that a console called "Friend" became so fixated on its enemies.
With a "haters" folder, that.
Which really seems hilarious. Imagine if you will, you're trying to launch a product. Would you, pray a little finger, let some critics get in the way if you even had an ounce of confidence in your product?
Tommy's ego was so huge that he tripped over his own face.
I will pay good money to see Pat and Ian dress up as Tommy Tallarico + Amico shill for Halloween!!! :)
🥓🥓🥓🥓
@@therealavolpe I like eating bacon it is good! Unfortunately you are still wrong you silly goose.

“I was confronted by an Amico supporter. Only one.”
You could’ve just stopped the discussion there. Mic drop. Only one. At a festival about video games.
Everyone that kissed the ring of Tommy and went on the attack for whatever reasons these past few years, all look completely idiotic with their noses so brown. Now we can all look at them and just laugh whenever they try to justify their words/actions because they have absolutely lost any credibility they may have had.
It's funny b/c a lot of these same people saw right through Mike Kennedy and the Coleco chameleon for what it was. But b/c these idiots liked Tommy and saw no wrong in anything he did, so obviously his console couldn't be a scam. They do look like idiots for giving him an unopposed platform, shilling this piece of crap game system, giving him money, or just out and out attacking anyone who said anything slightly negative and lying on his behalf.
I have no idea why anyone would think it a good idea to confront you two over a system which as of this writing, _literally has no manufacturing path._
But cheering for a bastardization named after some irrelevant system from before the Famicom doesn't exactly seem like the most logical idea. Maybe they'd like a timeshare over a bridge in Death Valley. What's left for the Amico, anyway? Even Quark would have gone to Odo's office to report it so it could be put out of it's misery.
I just realize you wrote those books - that's incredible! I will buy these books as soon as I am less poor, and hopefully get them signed!
I have the NES book. It's fantasic!
In regards to review Tech USA, he is one of the biggest fraud on UA-cam the guy barely play video games and talks about them (he has said this multiple times) I remember him trying to play dying light and couldn’t even press the jump button to climb. No one should take him serious I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a video of him talking about a video game that I played and he’s talking about and I know he didn’t play it.
I believe he needed his dad to help him build a PC too.
Guys, NEVER change ok. Keep calling these vapourware scam artists out. ❤
I was fucking dying at "Super Team"
Its funny how this and Pat's encounter are pretty much identical to "Tales from the Game Store" encounters.
I'm glad you called out Cyrus and all his "there shouldn't any of this drama" meanwhile he's screaming obscenities red-faced and drunk in a basement.
Cyrus the Virus at it again.
Why would Pat and Ian give any air time or support to complete liars or those who don't know the facts?
Man I’d still pay 10 bucks each for Cloudy Mountain and Nightstalker. Also that sideways breakout looked pretty sweet.
Both are available on the Evercade.
Did u know Tommy was the first American to work on sonic the hedgehog.....hajahahahahaha
I tried to meet pat at a SoCal retrocon years ago and I felt slighted by him at the time. I will give pat credit though, I brought it up to him on a Steam forum and he apologized and said that was not his intention. That's really all I can ask... I hope to get the chance to meet pat again and under better circumstances.
Ok. 🤷🏻♂️

"I'm going to return that energy right back in your face!"
Ha....
If you disagree to disagree does that mean you agree?
That's actually a thing. I've had arguments with people who wont even acknowledge that an argument is taking place. Luckily I didn't marry any of them.
DJC the "Devastating Just Cause" is the investor that makes pro amico videos but never says hes invested into Amico. He invested $600 and is probably the biggest Amico cultist on youtube. Hes currently waiting for Mike Mullis to send him the supposed amico test unit. Whats funny is its the same amico they used in the John Alvarado unboxing video. When Mike Mullis takes it out of the box you can see the same box damage in the same exact spots from the Alvarado unboxing video. If they had more then 1 Amico why didn't they send out multiple units at once. Obviously they only have 2 or 3 of these built, and there using these low viewership youtubers to try to draw in some more investors which isn't going to work.
Very true, growing up DOES mean you don't need to be friends with everyone.
Funny intellivision system shouldn't have Amico in name since ceo , staff and fans are very hostile to others. Very unfriendly .
C'mon guys, you know you wanna make a super team.
Tommy can be Aquaman
Tommy would make a good leader😂
I wonder how that beta testing is going... 🤣
Well, they're under a NDA so we won't find out how crappy everything is till the NDA expires.
@@Rando1975 They can break it, Tommy and Intellivision have no money to sue.
They are allowed to share and break the NDA as long as it's positive lol
Sounds like they are talking about the Atari Creep.
If I could go back in time to my college self watching the old G4 cable channel, I'd be like "Hey, you see that Tommy guy talking about game music? Wait'll you hear this shit..."
Ian the Irritable every time Pat leans in on the sound effects...lol
At this point with Retro Bro and others it's more of abandoning ship before it sinks. Smash JT is still trying to salvage his relationship with Phil lol
Smash JT and his two faced ways. How he has viewers is beyond me.
@@spartanracer I unsubscribed because of his waffling. He needs to wake up and live in the real world.
@@linuxrobotgeek he is of lower intelligence than it appears. He even said it himself. He is the type of person who will be scammed and scam others bc he can only handle doing tasks where the effort is so minimal than any reward seems unjustified. Luckily for him he is a stay at home husband living off his wife. So are quite a few Amico cult members.
For example- rather than work harder on UA-cam content he once planned to only make video types that got 1000 views right away. He would rather just become whatever people tell him to than work at anything he personally desires to.
@@linuxrobotgeek Speaking of people and waffling, we're still waiting on Slopes to post a mea culpa.
In Pat and Ian's defense stating facts about how shitty the amico would be if it ever released, and how Tommy ripped people off isn't attacking Tommy, it's the truth.
Tommy took it that way b/c he can not handle the truth nor constructive criticism.
What’s your thoughts on the Amico units send out for testing to Mike Mullish and JLC Game Studios?
I know Ian is a good person, and for someone to get in his face, give him crap , and for him to reason with the person and explain his stance, that is pure class, hats off to Ian. I hate that some people have to deal with this kind of nonsense, but what you guys do means a lot. This is a community and folks have to hold the con artists accountable. You have to say the truth and take a stand, even when idiots start drama over it, I respect that.
Someone should get Tommy together with these two guys and offer them all a free lunch.
since these people obviously watch the channel I wonder why they always stay so quiet in the comment section
That guy had to be clearly deluded to still be supporting the Amico and Tommy at this point.
Yeah, those devs would probably be wise to try to get their games out some other way, than be tied to the Amico.
The guy behind the Coleco Chameleon & that old game auction site once gave me a bunch of free game soundtracks when I asked him if he had anymore for sale when I missed an auction. That doesn’t change the fact that he was a shady businessman that acted horribly to you two & anyone who looked at the Coleco with ANY amount of questions.
I’ve been to a Video Games Live concert & own their Blu-Ray from the New Orleans recording when Tommy brought Ralph Baer on stage, doesn’t change the fact that now Tommy is a bad businessman & bad person to anyone that isn’t a fanboy of his.
Ian vs The World.
Just catching up on all the Amico coverage from the last six months and I nearly spit out my water when I heard Ian say all of the sudden:
"WHOSE IDEA IS IT TO CONTINUOUSLY ATTACK TOMMY TALLARICO?!?!?"
I am full on going to confront you Ian if I ever see you in public... for the same reason. Kind of.
I am going to demand that you heckle Tommy more than you have been, and I am angry that it slowed down. So maybe you just meet in the middle between me and this other guy and keep doing what your doing.
Cheers!
i know it would only cause drama for pat to list them, but can anyone provide a list of the youtubers/authors that were involved in the amico shilling? I have a huge ethical problem with it and want to avoid any of their content in the future.
It's a shame someone was bothering my homie Ian. Spoke to him at the expo and is a good guy.
Sorry for spamming the comments - I just want you guys to know that I am grateful for this podcast. I work nights and I look forward to the podcast every day. I look forward to longer episodes if you ever decide to do that! Thanks for being awesome guys!
I thought it was going to be zadocpaet coming up to apologize to Ian again.
Oh to be a fly on the wall during that Amico fan interaction 😅
How did it take me this long to notice that Ian has an Adult. sticker on his laptop? I have the same exact sticker on the back of my car! Got it at the show in San Francisco this past year!
I can’t imagine this show without Amico discussions
I think “A Little Crackly” would make for a great slogan
Your Middle-European 70s/80s mother hair Pat, is at least a tangible thing that has been released onto the world, unlike the Amico.
Saw this video in my reccomended and came to comment, CUPodcast Rules!!
It's funny, I agreed with Ian's original opinion on the Amico 100%, and I rarely agree with Ian (especially that much), which is probably why I remember it so well.
And yet Tommy and his followers turned it into a tit-for-tat mess. It's so bizarre... None of this needed to happen, but I guess that's what narcissism does to you.
Yeah. It _could have been something,_ but I've not seen such a public display of idiotic management with no impulse control & terrible PR since...2016.
I beg to differ on the subject where Pat says as you get older you don't have to be friendly and agree with everyone that's not what it is it's just becoming old and finally set in your ways so you don't have to compromise anymore I'm there so is Pat when people reach that point it's derived from spending your life trying to do the right thing and always trying to see someone's other side to something but then you reach a point where you know there's no more sitting on the fence over subject you are who you are you like what you like and you become quote unquote old
Punctuation, witless
I actually have an Intellivision Amico shirt, but I got it during the very beginning before all hope was lost. It's actually an extremely comfortable shirt, but now I'm kind of ashamed to wear it anywhere. Oh well, I guess it'll just be a comfy at-home shirt. Tommy did seem like a good guy, at first. This guy asking why you made it personal clearly didn't watch or listen to what you had to say, they just listened to what Tommy and others had to say and took their side rather than look into it and see what was actually going on from multiple sources. It happens all too frequently these days.
The good thing would be that if you wore it out, 95% of people wouldn't know what it was. However those 5% might think you're a Amico cultist if you do.
@@heisensaul5538 Such is the dilemma. I think the world has had enough of strange cults these days so I'll keep it as pajama wear just in case. lol
You could wear it ironically or get it kitted up with patches for other failed products? Maybe even slap a DJ Slope logo on it somewhere.
@@XanthinZarda That or rub the Amico part off. Want it to stay comfortable. I still love the Intellivision itself. They haven't ruined that much for me.
As usual people with weak arguments resort to personal attacks, so sad

I can't believe that people are still defending a project that officially failed , full of broken promises with proof of bad management of the project, only cause an ok video game composer from the 90s liked and responded comments on a forum, those are sad people , I don't understand when people do for a celebrity and Tommy ins't even one
Pat I actually wish you would have tommy on your show. This would be the 1st time a big time youtuber would hold tommy's feet to the fire. Only smaller youtube critics have held his feet to the fire. Because RTU never really did.
They all wanted to protect their income stream..

Pat & Ian promoting weed. I thought I never see the day. Smoke weed & play Nintendo. My life is complete. I hope this derange Amico fan is watching this now, raging and breaking shit in his apartment, screaming it's all lies Tommy is still a good guy. lol
I was optimistic of it not seeing release, don't get me wrong it would of been great if had of got released with caveat of being in sufficient quantity to sold in retail stores however due to the lack of games on the original system i have to wonder how feasible the amico was
the amico at the end oof the day turned into the what happened with every that saw release between 1993-2009/10 both av and hdmi variants atari's failed console releases..
to the actual; point it is easier to port old arcade classics and run them on the 360/one/series x or ps2/ps3/ps4/ps5 these days than waste time in developing a dedicated console for it. 3/4's of the games that came out in the 80's no longer exists as original games companies

Guys, next time some shmuck goes after you over Amico or whatever, how about you do a live read of your Earthy Select ad copy? Because I think the Amicult needs some CBD to fucking chill.
I found a sealed copy of Sigma Star Saga at my local thrift store, opened and played it. No regrets!
I've got a question when it finally comes out and if it's awesome are you guys getting one or not ???
Great video, one fair criticism however:
If you are gonna talk about an interview, make sure and actually watch it, and any recaps could be biased in ANY direction or leave details out. If you didnt watch an interview at all, dont discuss it. You went after people that did the exact same thing in the past, with you citing lack of research. It's a bit hypocritical.
