I will tell you like I tell my friends if you baby it were u can and get regular maintenance done ✅ it will last forever yes maintenance will run a little higher then a Toyota but you are driving a sporty car it’s going to cost a little more and I say if you can afford it then treat yourself!! Iv never enjoyed a car like I do this one ☝️
I bought a manual and now wished it was an Automatic...Or at least a semi auto, I used to have a Cruze diesel, that was actually fine as a manual, even in 2nd the car would pull away from a stand still and I never had to change gears that much, usually always pulled in whatever gear it was in. My new B9 A4, once you're below say 10mph in 2nd, the car feels as it's gonna stall, need to put it into 1st before it actually gets going.
Quite a few of their engines are chain driven and therefore do not require the cam belt change.

Toyotas feel cheap and look cheap--no refinement. And lexuses are just too weird for European counties/style
