    Yes ma'am...there's a balance to following the guidelines...I washed without braiding and banding at 9 mos. as opposed to waiting til 1 year and my hair did fine...

    I really enjoy listening to your journey. So I did change Locticians because basicly she just stopped returning my calls after about three months. I know she is fine because I found her posting videos on You Tube. I would’ve appreciated a convo and would have respected her decision and whatever reason she gave. It’s just my personality further who wants someone to do their hair if that person really doesn’t want too💁🏽‍♀️. Well my new person charges about $50 more but she is very nice and has been consistent. As a Sisterlock trainee ( I did take the course). honesty is important to me. I wouldn’t take a person if I was not comfortable or didn’t think I could help see them through but then everyone is not the same

      Yikes! That sounds like a nightmare given how demanding sisterlocks need maintaining. Im glad you found a better situation because it really does put your mind at ease. I feel like honesty is important as well. I respect that you’re being upfront rather than wasting time because although for the most part this hairstyle is stress free, when it’s stressful it’s stressful. And Im happy you like tuning in and appreciate you 💕

    Hey!! I wanted to try the acv rinse bc I have some lint build up in the back. My aunt who was a beautician and has sister locs said it would be too soon for me. I definitely don’t feel like my hair is clean as it could be from braiding and banding. I’m excited to see the Loc jewels!

      I do feel like the way the new loctician retied my hair it feels more secure. I haven’t had as much slippage in the front and I liked the way it looked after the Retie compared to the first one I’m not sure if she did something different or if it’s just bc I had more length.

    I have been thinking the same thing about the hair length that you mentioned. Right after my retie it was a lot longer but then I sprayed water and it took all the extra length away which is weird to me because the length of my loc and the roots shouldn't still be shrinking. They are completely loc'd.

    • @cilyahowell0529
      @cilyahowell0529  3 місяці тому

      I’ve came to the conclusion that I think it’s the hair by the scalp that shrinks because that’s new growth that’s freshly locd

    My loctician just switched my rotation to 3 point (from a 4 point). May I ask what rotation you are on? She had me on 4 point because she thought that's what I needed based on my 4c coily texture. My locs are tight and crinkly. I really love how fluffy yours are. I do realize everyone's locs are different, but I'm wondering if the rotation has something to do with how the locs come out. I'm 6 months in.
