- Here's my review of the new NECA Mousers. If you looked at the time and thought how the heck is he talking for an hour and a half about one toy pack well I discuss a lot of stuff in this episode haha. I review and compare their first appearance in Mirage Comics, the Fred Wolf Series, and the 2003 show. I thought it'd be cool to see how Mirage Comics issues 2 and 3 were interpreted in 2 different TMNT cartoon continuities. I also talk a little bit about the posts on Peter Laird's blog where he discussed the Mousers origins. If you're just here for the toy review check below to see where that actually starts. It's quite awhile haha. Eventually I review the brand new NECA Mousers. I compare them with screenshots from the show, discuss all of the accessories, and end the whole thing by comparing the Mousers to past toy Mousers and more. There's even some small discussions about some of the other stuff introduced in the Fred Wolf episode A Thing About Rats. Namely the Technodrome Elevator Drill and the Turtle Seeking Cycle. This episode was written and recorded off and on over the past month and a half so I hope you enjoy! I'm just glad I can move on to Usagi Yojimbo now!

Lots of times I pose my guys pretty stiff or unimaginative so it’s cool seeing you put them into so many awesome poses. When I watched the Shocker one I could definitely see him in the comics doing some of those poses!

I love making these posing videos for all my figures and I do have a lot of NECA TMNT figures so plan on making videos for all of them as well. I got late into collecting this cartoon line so I'm missing Shredder from my collection and I hope that they will make a new one, maybe an ultimate version. Anyway, as I said, I'm here for all of your videos. Love them! One day when I start doing live streams (and that day will come when I find some time) I would love to have you on the stream and talk about TMNT if you would be for something like that. 😃

Awesome review. I hadn't noticed that the Foot bike from the Fall of the Foot Clan game is the same one from A Thing About Rats. I might need to update the coloring of the bike sprite in the remake.

I also just got my Super 7 ultimates Baxter stockman today and I’m about to review it now… so I should have a video up on my UA-cam channel and it tomorrow soo… stay tuned for that! And I’m also excited because he comes with a mouser and that will be my first mouser action figure for the turtles to fight or for the mouser to chomp on their hands so I’m excited to play with both Baxter as it’s my first Baxter figure ever and I’m also very very excited to play with the mouser figure he come with because like I said that’s the very first mouser figure I’ll have I’m my turtle collection and I’m super excited to play with it.

I’m just about to upload the video I don’t know how it’ll look but it kept freezing for a little while and it’s kinda awkward for that long freeze and than my review continues but uploading it now and it’s Instagram quality keep in mine so you can see the extra stuff on the side like the hearts and stuff so it’s too much to edit it all out if I want it up by tonight because I want you to be able to watch it and tell me what you think of my turtle knowledge and just my overall review on Baxter. So it should be out by 7:00 tonight but if not definitely by 9:00 tonight (with that being the latest that it will be uploaded by tonight which I hope isn’t the case and it’s out by 7:00 so you can watch it).
So I hope you enjoy my Instagram quality review of Baxter stockman! I also have the mousers coming to my house by the 29th of august I wanted them last year when they came out but like you said in your video they were very pricy on eBay and that was the only place I could find them because they were sold out everywhere else and they were to expensive at the time ranging from the cheapest results being $150 and the most expensive results being $200-$250 so I wasn’t going to pay that for 6 awesome accurate looking mousers and some awesome looking accessories so now of course being over a year the results have luckily declined in price since than so I got my box for luckily only $60 with taxing making it $75. So I’ll be happy to review those when I get them even though I don’t have any of the neca turtles to put them next to lol.

This set is way cooler than it has any right to be. Been fun watching folks with all the rats pose em with rat king. I screwed up and didn’t order one and now I’m staring down the barrel of paying $65-$80 for one. Hopefully neca puts em back up at some point.

@@razrentals8897 I’d be stoked if they do but I remember seeing that they were NECA store exclusives. I’m sure they’ll come back around eventually if the line keeps ramping up the way it has the last few years. Plus we should be gettin Usagi and the Tokka/Rahzar set in target soon. I’m sure that keep me satiated for a while😹
@@spadedonemcdysentery2493 I got mine from Ali Express, it was about $45 shipped and they are great. I am going to grab another set soon. Much cheaper than ebay and yes this will not be sold in stores sadly.
@@jamievaughn1485 yeah that’s becoming more and more of an option for me. I’ve been wary cuz I’ve seen some absolute horror show packages from them before but I recently got the Premonition of a Premutation set and it came with a single mouser. Now I HAVE to get more of these suckers any way I can😹
1:13:58 that's from the "turtles in disguise" set. It represents the pizza design from the second season. In episodes like "the Invasion of the punk frogs" or "Splinter no more" you can see this slices.
1:19:18 that's the giant mouser was an exclusive character from the Konami videogames at that time. He was a boss in the first one, it's GBA port and had a cameo in the second battle Nexus game. It was even said on the package. And it was the missiles, not the teeth in it's head.
Awesome! I’ve been waiting for you to drop by! I haven’t played the whole first GBA game, but I know I beat the second. It was a really fun game. The rockets in the mouth makes a lot more sense now. Do you know where the computer room sign comes from on the permutation 4 pack? I’ve been working on my Usagi review, but I also started putting that one together.
@@razrentals8897 oh, yeah, sorry for missing the review, but I was very busy a past couple weeks because of my job, so I didn't have the chance to check out your awesome colossal review about mousers as a whole.
And I don't really understand what sign are you talking about? The front of the box is taken from the episode "the turtles on trial" and the transformation units are taken from the episode "plan six from outer space". The back side of the package is a standard transdimensional portal room from every episode. And the background piece is an manufacturing plant from the second episode "enter the Shredder" with one of the killer machines (that was later used as tank for Shredder in SNES port of turtles in time) and shadow teasers of Bugman, Tempestra, Ray,on of Krang's from "musketurtles".
It has some minor easter eggs like picture of aunt Christine, O.M.N.S.S. from "mean machines" on one of the monitors, graffiti from "Shredderville", note from "Shredder's mom" and etc.
If you're talking about Krang's ultimate sign - the triangle turned upside down, which is unpainted and depicted on his tech like roadkill Rodneys or android body - probably something MWF took from the triceratons from the original comics, just made it blank and turned to 180°, probably, to avoid the confusion if the triceraton empire would've later appeared in the show.
Please, give me some clarity.
@@jeremiahnapier2516 Work has been super busy for me lately as well. My output has been pretty low for the past two months. I know most of the stuff you mentioned, but as always I appreciate you talking with me about all of this stuff! You’re always the guy to go to when I can’t figure something out. I haven’t opened it yet so I didn’t know some of those shadows are there. I wondered if the chains were leestanite from the Bugman episode. The note I was wondering about was the note on the right side of the package, next to The Shredder fly. It reads “this way to computer room”. I figured that has to be from something.
@@razrentals8897 as I mentioned above, this tricky note is from "Shredder's mom", where she tricks the turtles with this to go to the garbage compactor (nice reference, MWF).
It's sad to hear about your problems, but at the same time you manage to get such an huge, but very detailed review, you're too good at combining crisis with creativity.
Ha you have the NECA mouser from the April figure. That was the only one that had an articulated jaw (I have that and the SDCC three pack, no jaw articulation).
I didn’t know the sdcc three pack didn’t have articulated mouths. What a rip off!
Actually the Mausers look pretty realistic next to the live action movie figures. Although it looks more like an apple product from the two thousands product then a Baxter Stockman product of the early nineties.

Got 6 boxes of these and closely inspected each of them. I did not find one cracked knee. The worst flaws I got were a couple sloppy paint apps. I must have ludicrous luck.
That's crazy man, six packs. I see that often on the Facebook groups. I know that you're limited to two per, and if you try to order more with additional accounts you created, they'll be canceled. So I guess you and others know ppl that are willing to put their personal information in along with their card to get you more. That's practically unfathomable for me because no one I know would do such a glorious favor for me. I remember it being a bummer with wanting three Pizza Monsters but couldn't do it. Then of course (just like the ultimate Foot), I end up seeing piles of them at Target before I even get mine from NECA.
@@Chalor. NECA made an army building exception for this set, and foot soldiers at that time as well. You could order as many as you wanted. Yeah Pizza monsters I could only get 2 as well. After hearing complaints, they got rid of the limit for army builder sets.
I’ll have to check out the knees in my second pack. Maybe I applied to much pressure to the bag they were in at some point. Or you just got lucky!

The Elektra comic example you used was inked by Eastman but pencilled by Freddie E. Williams II who has done work on the IDW TMNT comics.

Welp, I managed to get everything tmnt toon related from the geek out event and now I’m sitting here waiting for Gary from Raz Rentals to catch up so he can tell me what half this stuff is in these boxes😂

Yep! I got it in the mail already I’m just waiting to review it after I cover some other stuff.
I was in the same boat with ordering two sets and an ultimate Foot...with having to be "punished", waiting on that Foot (which I already found plenty of at Target by that point) to become available.
It's cool to have the Tiny Tantrum Toys versions to compare to NECA's. It really made me want to get that 3rd party set that comes with a couple even more articulated Mousers and a Cheapskate...but it's so expensive.

15:12 🤣 April looks like an anthropomorphic yellow trash bag with a twisty tie around the waist. With the upcoming ultimate April; if NECA hopefully redesigns them from the ground up, I sure hope they don't use one of these reference pics.
