What's your favorite lost media that was found?
@@Braindeaddefault My favorite is the Shrek Test Animation. Even though it's not completely found yet, it's such an interesting look into the character's early development.
@@AllThingsLost Thanks for responding! That one is cool .
Gg
i actually have the original japanese doraemon game :> idk if thats rare or not
Man I remember that SpongeBob commercial specifically because how dark their chocolate milk was. After seeing that commercial, I thought that was how dark chocolate milk should be and absolutely _loaded_ mine with chocolate.
Lmaooo I felt that
That's how GOOD Chocolate milk looks >:D
My man wasn't having chocolate milk he was having chocolate with milk in it
@@DUKEHadToDoItToEm my man was having liquid chocolate at that point
Was it good?
Hi, I was actually on the Got Milk marketing team back in the early/mid 2000s. Nickelodeon was already under contract with us for another IPO and while in holding, they basically placed the SpongeBob IPO in there just to satisfy the holding contract. Later, they determined that SpongeBob wouldn’t be able to drink milk so the advert would make no sense and go against the SpongeBob world they’d already built, so they just bought out of the holding contract. Cool to see people cared enough to remember it though!
Thats interesting and how was making the ad?
The only thing I took away from this is that Nickelodeon canonically made spongebob lactose intolerant.
Nick:" Spongebob wouldn't be able to drink milk!"
Also Nick: Makes a lagoon inside an ocean
@@popdg2412 The lagoon is actually a brine pool which is usually referred to as an underwater lake due to the fact that you can distinguish the brine in the pool from the water above it, even though they're quite toxic to marine life at least there's a semblance of science to that one.
@@sylvyawn Huh. Neat. Thanks for the info man
Someone should check the Marion Stokes archive. She recorded almost 71,000 tapes between 1975 and her death in 2012. She recorded *EVERYTHING* and it’s considered the most comprehensive archive of television during that period. I’d bet she has some real lost media gems in there somewhere.
Dude seriously? That's a long time
Describing the Got Milk ads as "the Raid: Shadow Legends of their day" is absolute genius. Shoot, I couldn't even read a comic book back in the day without seeing an ad that showed Batman, Superman, or Wonder Woman with a milk mustache. Wonder what will be found next year...?
Nothing will be found next year. Seriously, I doubt anything will be found.
@@man_man... you think in an entire 365 days not a single piece of lost media will ever appear
@@Psychedelicgothicpink Maybe he's hoarding every lost media ever and is confident no one will get it from him 🤔

Got Milk being the "Raid Shadow Legends" of the past...so on POINT.
Huh. This whole time I thought Erin Esurance was axed because she got a little *too* popular, if you catch my meaning.

“Got milk was the raid shadow legends of their day”
Is the best comparison I never could’ve thought of
The compilation of gun pulling from the Trapped in the Closet videos is hilarious. Also, I'm pretty sure that was made to be intentionally bad? Like satirizing the genres of soaps which often have hilariously convoluted storylines.
Is that where Weird Al got the idea for that song about the drive thru? I feel like it is. To some degree anyway. I dunno.
I always felt that at least the first few chapters of it seemed like it might've been meant to be taken seriously. But around when it starts following the cop and we find out his wife (who R Kelly gives a goofy southern accent) is also having an affair and is also hiding in their home, with said person she's cheating on being a little person hiding in a cabinet and shitting himself in fear when the cop threatens him, he's clearly trying to make it dumb for laughs. Which honestly isn't as funny as the chapters at the start.
@@Crackrzz Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's where Trapped in the Drive-through comes from.
I don’t think the guy who made this rlly understands rap music
Imagine if right in the final minutes of 2022, someone uploads a lost Shakespear play or something to the internet.
the only thing that would make this year for lost media discovery would be if someone dropped earthbound 64
Just so you know, the rap "lost media" community doesn't really work like that. Most rare songs are hoarded and rarely shared except for large amounts of money. It's not like other media where you look for and are willing to leak it to the public.
and I think we can all agree those same people are pretty stinky
Another point is that an artist’s record label might just block the song all together, or the artist just refuses to release it at all
can u be, can u be, can u be
Unfortunately that mentality is also very common with lost video games. Just look up the sordid history of Resident Evil 1.5 for example

@@hisaceinthehole3426 It was available for 2 years but nobody discovered the files
This year was absolutely mad for found media. Wonder what 2023 will have in store?
Nothing. Literally absolutely nothing.
DON'T. Get your hopes up.
Personally, I really hope the name of The Most Mysterious Song will be found.
As lost media will always exist a lot of people are determined to dig in this rabbit hole. I'm also so excited what will be found next!

Some weird kids show, had a "hero" kid with a red devil-like outfit
Took place almost exclusively in space.
Could never find it, went through every cartoon channel's logs when it aired at the time, which was usually like 3 to 4 am in the UK.
Oddly enough though, in Rhythm Heaven Fever (Repainted) Shrimp shuffle replaces the birds with that exact character, from what I can tell.
I think the show you’re looking for might be SamSam
sounds like the show ‘SamSam’
@@louisa5835yep that's it, thanks
Weird how easily it disappeared
For me, Ray Mona's discoveries of the pilots for Toonamakers Sailor Moon and, more recently, Guardians of the Cosmos are waaay up there.
Yeah, the research that went into those was absolutely mental
Please. PLEASE. Do coverage on the Mad Magazine 1988 TV Special!! Lost media wiki has deleted the page despite it never being recovered. There is a single segment available in low quality on UA-cam to prove its existence.
My personal favorite: the Canned Ham episode for BASEketball, found because someone who had no idea it was lost media thankfully uploaded it in its entirety on youtube 😭
HOLY SHIT! I never actually knew that Weird Al’s Trapped in the Dive Through was a parody
OK that's the name of it. I thought of that too!
I guess we should have known, though. Like 90 some % of his stuff is. 😊
Yep! He thought the original was so insane that he decided to go for the opposite effect - a song about one of the most mundane things ever, going out to eat.
So happy to see a lot of stuff being found especially episode 847 and the Spongebob commercial, I hope Slamfest gets found! Happy to see a new video on your channel
Imagine someone finds it on Christmas!
@@TheDigitalApple the ultimate christmas present
I just hope that the Vito Cut of jackass number two gets found
Lost media for Christmas better be good!
Also the live action/animated hybrid Americanized Sailor Moon pilot that was found by Ray Mona that could’ve alternatively change between the relationships of both the animation industries of Japan and the Western world. Speaking of Ray Mona, she just recently started a lost media search of finding a failed live-action pilot adaptation of the Japanese manga and anime series “Saint Seiya” that was called StarStorm. Although she hasn’t found it yet she found another piece of Saint Seiya lost media that was completely found by herself with sheer luck. She found another scrapped cartoon pilot from the 90s with similar vibes to that of the Sailor Moon pilot called “The Guardians of the Cosmos”. She obtained the footage for the American Saint Seiya series from the Library of Congress after receiving permissions from former Bandai America president Frank Ward, who helped provide her with footage of the live-action Sailor Moon pilot. The Guardians of the Cosmos footage was bundled along with the Sailor Moon materials.
I thought Erin was axed because of all the adult art of her
That's what I thought happened.
You, lssq and blaimitonjorge are the best lost media channels 👍
THIS ^
Don't forget Ray Mona too!
@@WrenFJ It’s quite bonkers that while she is having a priority of finding the American Saint Seiya live-action pilot called StarStorm, she found another scrapped pilot of adapting Saint Seiya to the American market that was completely under the radar called The Guardians of the Cosmos.
Thag commercial for “The Works” I remember seeing it vividly on TV which as a child terrified me 😭I got chills when you spoke about it because I had a full flashback of it
Interestingly, I read about that Doraemon Gag Dub via TV Tropes of all things and I am so happy that dub is found
Yui-Senpai Tv is one of the channels that I subscribed since years back. I made a request for the channel’s owner to review the English dub of a forgettable franchise #Schlockbuster called Kenya Boy (based on the eponymous series of early Japanese graphic novels by the man behind the Shōnen jump hit Koya No Shōnen Isamu) weeks back. He took notes of it and I’m pretty happy about it.
TV exclusive movie scenes are really fascinating. John Carpenter's The Thing had a whole new ending exclusively for cable airings
Trapped in the closet is 100000% a parody. It's intended to be a joke 😆
"User carpediemsnuts"
What a name
Surprised you didn't mention the recent finding of the live action Sailor Moon pilot.
Eric Radomski was also involved heavily with Batman The Animated series' production. Mostly as a producer but I think he also directed a few episodes as well.
I knew that name sounded familiar! I believe it was Radomski’s idea to paint the backgrounds on black paper to get that classic “Dark Deco” style.
IIRC he directed the episode nothing to fear, the first introduction of the villain Scarecrow in the series
As great as these finds were, the most recent of found yet still lost media is the opening theme song to the Americanized Saint Seyia cartoon series Guardians of the Cosmos, discovered by the same YTer as the "Saban Moon" pilot presentation. It's one thing to find media that was lost, but it's quite another to find media we didn't even know existed.
Speaking of smash mouth lost media, they had a demo tape in 1995 that hasn't been uploaded in full afaik.. only one track
I swear it’s so hard to get people to see posts in the lost media community when you finally find something, the community high key lame asf
Thought chocolate milk SpongeBob commercial has haunted me for years.
I remember seeing the commercial and immediately going "I want chocolate milk now"
'user carpediemsnuts' man you can't just say that and carry on
Thank you for the mention, Mike!
My piece of found media isn't in the video so I'll type it here. the Robot Wars Season 8 USA dub has been fully found. It's on my channel to watch if you live in the UK though.
I think a lot of people who didn’t like the mascot for insurance were most likely parents whose kids were later found out that they were watching some inappropriate contact because I know like when artists reference characters as if they were real people who experience stuff they always depict their mascot as someone who is upset on how people looked at her and would do inappropriate artwork of her
Don't forget that Kingdom hearts TV pilot
Wow! I didn't know Homeward Bound had TV cuts. I still have the original on VHS. 😂
Probably lesser known but a lost jackass the movie skit was found 20 years after it was filmed, The Sketch Artist featuring Dave England
well this is the first time ive ever seen a video posted under 2 minutes ago, and boy am i glad i did
16:11 I can't believe I forgot this ad. Never thought it was lost
My day always gets better as soon as I hear "Oh hi there!"
I can’t believe shrek used to be so scary
2:04 That ad was on the wall in my school lunchroom at the time!
4:17 Whoever ordered to delete this swanky sax(?) musical note should be charged with crimes against music
I watch the scene, and it is more melancholic and soft than what All Thing Lost shown
It's always weird whenever I hear about a piece of lost media I remember seeing growing up. Though while I had already heard about the SpongeBob and Esurance commercials being lost media that was found this year, I was surprised to hear "The Works" had ended up getting lost. I remember seeing it a couple times back then and seeing those clips of it brought back some memories. I wonder if there's any other anti-drug or anti-smoking ads from around this time I grew up with that are now considered lost.
Got milk was literally advertised in school in America. It was weird seeing 3 different got milk signs right next to each other at lunch, when milk was the only option to drink anyways so it's not like we needed to be told to drink it or anything.
Lost media commercials are so unique because they really are likely in those VHS rip comps all over UA-cam
Anyone remember this one drug psa from the mid 2000s where it was this little girl outside of a school singing the abcs but she mentions drugs in between. I believe it begins with "a b c d ecstasy" and ends with "Now I know my drugs you see next time won't you share them with me?"
Anyone remember or knows where to find this ad? I've been trying to find it for years and I remember seeing it all the time as a kid
We got a tugs Sizzle reel
Man, I loved trapped in the closet because it was SO BAD
The Spongebob commercial is a big win for me. I knew I saw it as a kid.
Anyone know how the guy who uploaded it found it?
sponge bob you wish are lost media? in mexico tv station "canal 5" repeat that special(3 parts 1 for every winner) in latin spanish from time to time. I think the English audio is included in SAP
Keeps getting better and better
We also found Brainsurge episodes too
That comment about Got Milk having a ridiculous advertising campaign was accurate. I went back to my old elementary school recently, and the milk cooler still has “got milk?” written on the door.
I guess you could say.. these are All Things Found in 2022.
I COMPLETELY forgot about the esurance girl! But seeing the clips totally brought me back
Now all that we need left to make this a perfect year for lost media is to have another missing Doctor Who episode recovery. Even if it's just one of the missing parts of an unpopular story like The Space Pirates or Galaxy 4 is enough for me to be satisfied
As soon as I saw the spongebob commercial surface I was I hoping you'd cover it!
The fact something was just lost for two additional years because it was dimply not seen in a discord channel is one of the BEST arguments against using Discord as a community's main information sharing platform that I've seen. Discord really is just an information black hole half the time.
I seriously have NO IDEA why communities nowadays see discord servers as the new version of forums. They're freaking CHATROOMS. When i look up information i want to pull up a page on a website and read it, not join a private chat group just to wade through miles of discussion and a million different channels to find a single piece of info that might not even be there. Meanwhile if this were some kind of forum the thread would just be up for anyone to see whether it was brand new or 20 years old.
Recently Ken Penders posted a picture of a prop for the unmade Sam Rami Spider-Man 4 showing off one of the Vulture's wings that John Malkovich was going to use.
The pink supercar in the Esurance commercial is the 2005 Ford Shelby GR-1 Concept. It’s just that the actual car is silver in the real world.
This has been an incredible year for lost media!
And FYI, I feel like everything LSSQ brings up in a video is bound to be dug up months later, and there's a lot to prove!
Everything but Phantom Blood lol
the smash mouth one was so funny lmao
7:06 I'm dying 😆 🤣 😂
The irony of something being overlooked and lost on the lost media wiki discord is wonderfully funny.
The Homeward Bound tv edit reminds me of two other films with existent deleted scenes seen on television. The tv airing of The Birdcage had quite a few scenes added back in, but unfortunately the DVD didn't have in thee special features. And I remember the tv ads for Hocus Pocus had quite a few scenes that didn't make the theatrical cut. As a feature film, Hocus Pocus wouldn't have become that much longer, but I'm guessing the scenes were deleted because they messed with the pacing.
was Erin esurance really that hated back then? I legit don't remember.
I'm pretty sure it was because of the internet's *drawings* of her
@@knowbody6327 but that's not Erin's fault it's not like esurance drew them

Homeward bound made me want to own those 3 pets so bad.
Homeward Bound is a nightmare if animal abuse.
There is a piece of Ren and Stimpy lost media that was found then lost again. For the adult party cartoon episode , “Fire Dogs 2”, Ralph Bakshi who voiced the fire chief, shot a black and white live action intro for the cartoon, parodying the Honeymooners. I remember watching it on Vimeo or DailyMotion but can’t find it anywhere now. I don’t remember much from the clip. Was it included on the APC dvd anybody know?
Really happy for found lost media this year, I only got into this about I think last year. The community is growing larger and probably will make way for more people to come out with more lost media.
We all know the reason why e surance stopped the commercials. We all know the real reason

I remember watching The Works when I was little. WOW that was unsettling...
Man this is one of those video that opens you an entire world.
Its been a good time for lost media in 2022 and woah we got a LOT of myserios lost media FOUND!
Homeward Bound is a movie I sat through a good five minutes of a few years back, I have no idea why it’s lost or how…
Bruh, the esurance lady was one of my crushes as a kid, lmao
Wasn’t Erin ended cause of her ahem “skilled” career outside of insurance
The irony that a found media was lost in the lost media discord.....
9:08 -- Before Smash Mouth was Smash Mouth, The band with a different name (or a slightly different line up) -- Sent demo recordings to radio stations. My station, WCWP 88.1 Brookville NY had one and there is a... Well, I'm not sure if I'd call it "lost", but I'd say RARELY heard first draft of songs that showed up on the Smash Mouth debut album.. It wouldn't be quite fair to call them "demo tapes" or hang the "demo" label on them because the quality was actually very good. -- I firmly believe, that this also happened with "The Proclaimers" because I clearly remember hearing a version of the song "500 Miles" years before it hit the Benny and Joon soundtrack and went mainstream.
It's interesting that you were playing clips from the original Homeward Bound, where the pets didn't talk. The 90's version of Homeward Bound is where they talk. And that was never missing. I have the version you described on VHS still.
[PARTIALLY LOST] I had some lost media which is a music album

Bro I actually lost homeward bound before. I don't know when, but I'm thinking I watched it in some class before.
I still want to see The Full HQ version of Nickelodeon’s “Nick-Bot Takes Over” Promo!❤️📺🎶👍🏻
Here in Canada, the early days of YTV were... interesting. Like Warren, a green blob puppet character. You reminded me that he once took over YTV.
He and his sidekick announced it, I wanna say late 80s to early 90s. "YTV becomes *MY* TV! Hahaha!
If you're standing here, then who's operating the camera?"
Camera slowly pans up as sidekick goes, "Wahhhhh?"
"YOU MORON..."
Camera cuts out. 🤣
The SpongeBob milk mustache commercial is the first piece of lost media that I remember clear as day.
Good work as always!
Trapped in the closet is an absolute good classic. You tripping bro
Something to keep in mind re: Trapped in the Closet. This series was essentially a soap opera/musical for black folks in America. It happened at a time when the only appearances of people who looked like us in those genres were a) tokens or b) centered in stories about racism. It was fun and utterly ridiculous and filled a HUGE void (that eventually Tyler Perry came along to exploit), and that's why we loved it so much.
i loved that everytime i clicked on one of the lost media videos and clicked back they would greet me with the “oh hi there” everytime
Omg!! I didn’t even realize The Works was missing (even though I’ve been struggling to find it 😅).
But a couple of times, I would describe it to friends who are around my age and none of them remember it.
Ive had that home recording of homeward bound my entire life. I had no idea.
