All Thing Gooning
Watch the "Most Mysterious Song on the Internet" be found in the same way.
yes please
W bro
Tell me the truth why do you wanna do more research on that( in tone ulterior motives)
Dude, a FoodFight! workprint containing new footage of the 2002 version got released.
The fact this was discovered in a 1980s porno flick is absolutely goddamn hilarious. And that snippet was the only part of the entire audio track without moans!
LMFAO I guess we now know why the snippet was so short
I know, I absolutely love it.
Guys I just got a new idea for finding The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet!
At least Carl92 is an internet legend now 😂😂😂😂
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
The thing I'm wondering the most, was how many people "accidentally" discovered the song, but were too embarrassed to tell anyone.
I really doubt that many people are watching obscure 80s porno
Apparently the guy that found the source was looking over at about 65 adult films from the 80s and once he got to that video, he reached an equivalent of finding diamonds in Minecraft.
@@thedrewster0408 Or maybe the equivalent of finding the seed # that was used to take the screen capture that became the default thumbnail next to each world in your worlds list (for which there has been an ongoing lost media search of its own)
@@thedrewster0408 Finding diamonds in Minecraft is a severe understatement. It’s like finding Atlantis in real life.
@@grayanddevpdx I'd say that it's more like finding the Ark of the Covenant, given the huge can of worms that came out once it was found.
"Everyone Knows That" being found inside of an 80s porno makes so much sense, honestly.
I believe that Carl92 KNEW where the song was from (obviously), but was hoping that there was a studio version of it available on the internet.
That is what I am thinking as well, and I doubt he knew about the obscurity of the song in question and was expecting a much quicker answer than how it turned out.
It's pretty obvious that he did, considering how cagey he was when people asked for a longer clip of the song.
What's really embarrassing is that Carl92 knew where it was from and lied, like it's not as if his real name and face was attached to the question, and the source is a vanilla, bog standard 1980s adult movie? Is that super embarrassing? (I mean besides watching 30 year old porn, that's kinda weird).
If he had just been honest, EKT could have been found so much faster, but then again, we wouldn't have some big lost media search.
@@Blakbox92
Not everyone wants to share their porn viewing experiences online, regardless of whether it's softcore or not.
Even if Carl92 mentioned where the song came from the very beginning of the search, I'd doubt that he'd be keen seeing the many replies about him looking for an 80s porno song.
@@Blakbox92 That's what's so hilarious about it to me
It would have seriously been less embarrassing if he went "yeah this old adult film had a good song, where's it from?"
It's the fact he had the IMMENSE amount of shame about it that he'd go through the effort to edit the moans out and be secretive when asked that makes it ten times funnier
The fact that The Boothe Brothers are potentially agreeing to re-record this is phenomenal. Always great when the people who can provide lost media decide to play ball (looking at you, people who’re hoarding the lost episodes of Doctor Who!)
@@reverseshin I'm not a hoarder, just a collector. If I found lost media that others are seeking, I would share it.
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
@@sjdrifter72 which makes you instantly better than the Doctor Who collectors
Reminded me of that one guy hoarding the McDonalds eCDP DS game before Nick Robinson made it possible to dump the ROM
Well in the case of the Doctor Who hoarders it’s ridiculous.
They are apparently afraid they’ll be arrested cause they did steal the episodes, BBC dumped them and collectors stole them from the BBC’s trash. However, BBC have had an amnesty on returning Doctor Who episodes since the 90’s, they’re incredibly thankful if fans return the episodes cause they know how big a cash cow DW is and want it all, they even let collectors keep their copy in the end cause all they wanna do is scan the thing and get a digital copy, so there is literally no reason for them to be hoarding
Carl dipped out because he knew this was going to be his legacy on the internet when people found out.
He's NEVER going to live this down!
@@sjdrifter72Well at least he is an internet legend now 😂😂💀💀
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
I think Carl made it mysterious on purpose as a troll. Like he didn't care if people knew he watched a porno, but thought it would be funnier if people go on a huge search, found it out themselves, and get surprised.
carl didnt dipped out becuase he lost hope, he dipped out cuz he didnt wanna be cuaght in 22k
What I really like about this story is, how Christopher Booth reacted. Often when contacted, possible leads are rude or clearly show that they don't care about the community. He on the other hand used the unexpected fame, to show the world, that he's a really nice guy.
So much. A 1000%. I had exactly the same thought. The guy exhales pure love. He is one of those artists who really take their art as passion, as expression of love and the sublime, and he respects listeners and admirers because of that. I dont know how he is in his personal life, but as far as his artistic life is concerned this man is really gold; has given nothing but love to everyone. I will definitely be checking all I can from his catalogue.
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
And he said on tiktok that he’s gonna try to restore the song as much as possible, AND give us remixes! He is the best, truly.
He could have very easily gotten embarrassed and ducked out cause he found his porn music embarrassing. The fact he’s embracing it speaks volumes to his character
In a radio interview, he said he’s gonna dig through the archives in his studio to find the song. And if not, he will re record it. Even if his ulterior motive is to make some money while the song is still relevant, it’s still amazing fan service to help finish the search for good
“What’s that?”
“Pornography” -Spy and Soldier TF2
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
Lol
Tick tock, heavy like a brinks truck
@@p-__wtf
feels like an end to a weird south park episode.
- this guy downloaded a porno
- he wanted to know where to find a song he liked
- people needed to know what the source was
- he lied to not be embarassed
- people think its a lost ancient song, and take 5 years to find it
- turns out to just be a normal retro porno and not lost at all
- carl92 is nowhere to be found
I gotta admit the ending to this situation is hilarious
His ass is NOT doing research 😭🙏
his ass is doing other things
He is doing smth else with his ass tho
i would feel sorry for carl for being memed on so hard for watching PORNO if it wasn't so extremely FUNNY LMAO
It's not like the majority of people don't watch pornography, so I don't see anything really mockable there...
Buuuuut I doubt most people watch obscure 1980s adult films, that's pretty weird.
@@Blakbox92 it's not particularly mockable, ofc a lot of people watch porn and it's pretty normal but the circumstances of how a guy was likely like "dang this song slaps but i really don't want people to know i was watching 80s porno, better cut off those moans!!!!!" and then STILL being caught is so cute... this could happen to anyone but poor carl had it all happen to such an audience
The funniest part is that it’s an HOUR in. 😂
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
It honestly wouldn't have been this funny if he didn't go through great lengths to hide the fact that he saw it from a porn movie
Now we know why he only posted THAT part of the song…
for those who are wondering, the song wasn't made specificaly for that movie, it's just that the recorder of that movie bought the royalties for the movie and it's the only recording that we have available.
So now the search is on for an original recording
@@Blakbox92 The Booth Brothers have already found the instrumental track, they’re looking for the vocal track now. If they find it we’ll get an original studio version, if not they’ll just re-record the vocals
@@_kaleidoawesome, I'll be waiting
Makes you wonder if someone somewhere has the original record, perhaps not even aware
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
This ended up being my favourite kind of lost media - the one that's been up online forever, just somewhere no one had yet thought to look. Fantastic work by the finders!
how is it lost media if it was never lost
@@feIonI mean the full song was lost at one point.
Now that this song is finally found, I can now die happily.
The origins are still funny as heck though lmao
Well in a sense it's still sorta lost since one of the composers said they have yet to find a clean version of the audio in their archives. Meaning for now the only found version of it is (unfortunately) the audio straight from the adult film 😭😭 (Community efforts at cleaning up the audio have been pretty good though I will not lie)
Source?
Like the wind? The original llost song?
@@mike04574 It's not lost, lt's unidentified. We have the full song but don't know who did it, the song's name, and what the actual lyrics are.
My farts are better than Carl92's farts.
He "lost interest" as soon as he remembered where he recorded it from.
Or he realised the song probably didn't exist outside of the film & he'd have to fess up.
he knew all along yall, he was watching porn and then recorded it and uploaded it lmao
Broooo imagine having your internet mystery solved only to get clowned on and become just as infamous as cbat dude
How many kids were not born to the sound of 'Ulterior Motives'.
None of us can really tell what the hell Carl was doing but I think it would have been much less sus and embarrassing for him if he just said "yep, I know where this song could be from/where this song is from but I wanna find a clean version without any of the noises, help me find it, I beg ya"
But that would be UNFATHOMABLE. No man has EVER admitted to watching porn, don't you hear all the 11 year olds in the community? Sex is nasty and unnatural EWWW
Looks like Carl 92 had ulterior motives
Sure had
And he didn’t tell us the truth
@@mrcritical6751 now, everyone knows it
From now on, he'll have to move in disguise.
S-tier discovery for the inevitable 2024 end tier list.
If I had a penny for every lostwave song found on adult media, I'd have three pennies, which isn't a lot, but it sure is weird for it to happen thrice.
-Sheiki, probably.
this happened three times??????? what were the other two??
Yeah what are the other 2 lost waves
@@KokoaAmai19 One of the songs is "Please Don't Stop" which like Angels of Passion is also from 1986 and is the title track for a porn film of the same name and done by a band called Aladdin's Magic Rub. The other song is called "Friends" and it was found on a porn movie from 1970 called "Daddy's Baby Sitter". Those two along with "Angels of Passion" makes three pennies. 😁
@@sjdrifter72 ooohhhhh I see thank you! :D
@@KokoaAmai19 Glad to be of help. 😁
An interesting tidbit about the porno that Ulterior Motives was found in is how it's been available for viewing for the past five years.
The search began three years ago, and during that time, not one person who has ever watched Angels of Passion connected the song that was playing to the one people have been searching for years.
And what’s hilarious is that a load of people went to the Pornhub page that was streaming it and created accounts to comment
"Story in a game is like story in a porno. It's expected to be there, but it's just not that important" - John Carmack.
@@mrcritical6751 It was found on XHAMSTERS, actually.
In the scheme of the entire internet, the percentage of people who would have watched that video AND known the song was even being looked for would be slim.
@@zigzagintrusion
Yea, the lostwave community is admittedly quite niche in the online circle.
I find the thought of him holding his willy with one hand and recording the song with his other hand funny
i feel bad for carl92... bro got thousands of people making gooning jokes about him 💀😭
I feel my brain cells rot every time he says "goon".
This would have been found at a fraction of the time it took if only carl92 added a single second of moaning to the sample and saved himself being publically exposed like this.
Watching EKT absolutely blow up after being found feels unreal, hell the fact that it’s found at all feels unreal
so THATS why carl disappeared... 😭
3:37 I can only wonder how he invited the other mods, was he like: hey guys let's group watch 12h of 80s porn?
This wasn't the first time a lost song was found in a porn film. The earliest was a song called "Friends" and was found on a porn film from 1970 called "Daddy's Baby Sitter." The other song is "Please Don't Stop" and was found to be the title track of a porn film of the same name that was released the same year as "Angels Of Passion" in 1986 and performed by a group named 'Aladdin's Magic Rub'.
Amazing!!! Thank you!!! My comment from hours ago says we need to find all of them.
This reminds me of how people figured out there was a lost Doraemon episode. Since people found out about it though an adult film as well. Because in the adult film the tv in the video was playing the lost episode 😂. Maybe the lost media community should watch more adult films to find more lost media for "research" 😅.
Haha that’s both cool and important!
"So, you know that one song? 'Everyone Knows That'?"
"The one that sounds like it's from a mid-80's porn movie?"
"Uhhhhhhhhhh..."
They say the solution can never be as intriguing as the mystery. But boy, I don't think that applies in this case. What a banger of a story!
You got the name of the actress wrong. It's actually Stacey Donovan in the scene where the song plays and whose moans are heard in the audio.
How ya know the actresses name 🤨🤨🤨🤨
@@WILDWINTER_BIRD I recognize her because she was in the very first 🌽 vhs tape I saw when I was 13 years old in 1985. The movie was called Cagney and Stacey from 1984. Had I seen Angels Of Passion back in the 80's or 90's and been aware of the song, I would have solved the mystery as to where it came from.
Of the year? Yes.
An absolutely amazing find that I never expected.
Of the decade? No.
That still goes to "Sesame Street 847"
I'd say it's 2nd place, with 847 being top dog.
whats 847?
@@jokerofspades-xt3bs the 847th Sesame Street episode which was the Wicked Witch of the West episode
I would've never expected for this song to come from a p*rnigraphic movie.
It's clear you had a field trip with this one, Mike. I don't know why, but there's something terribly cursed about hearing you say "gooner" with such giddiness.
Imagine searching for a song and being publicly exposed as a gooner lmaooo 😭😭
You got some facts incorrect - Chris did sing main vocals for Sweeney Todd but Phil didn't play drums, their older brother, Johnny Booth, did. Phil played guitar for Sweeney Todd Band during that time.
I didn't realize there was a certain look for people who went from pornos to horror movies, but the Booth brothers embody it completely.
They didn’t write the song for the film in particular, they sold the rights and only found out later about its actual use.
What a way to have your porn preferences exposed.
I almost kinda feel bad that Carl92 is getting clowned on because of the discovery but man it is just too damn funny to learn about where the song came from 😂
I think he wanted to have a full clean version and he lied because he was too embarassed to admit where he found it
Christopher Saint Booth is such a cool ass name
people act like nobody has ever seen porn before lmao
Fr
Mhm.
True, but also it IS funny. Not only it being found there but also that the original poster edited it and delayed the search by 3 years because he didn't want to admit where he heard it. Like, people can't NOT make jokes about a situation like that.
I watched the movie recently, for research purposes of course, and I find it absolutely hilarious that the clip posted was the *only* part of the whole thing where there were no moaning.
I couldn't consider this truly "found" until I heard your follow-up! I love hearing how amused you are by the search conclusion. I can't stop giggling myself. 😆
I know that guy! I met him at a horror con years ago. He gave me marijuana concentrate and my friends and I hung out in his room. Weird guy. Never thought I'd hear the name "Christopher Saint Booth" again.
were counting all freaks in the sky
Imagine being outed as a goon cuz you wanted to know 1 song 😂
Now like the wind hopefully is discovered. The og lost song
Everyone knows it, you got, ulterior motives, tell me the truth.
Carl, thanks for these 3 years of search
If I had a nickel for every time a lost song was discovered in a porno, I'd have 2 nickles. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
Then again, "Don't Stop" at least kinda told you it was from an adult flick. It was the background music for a vanity plate for a porno company, so that was fairly obvious.
I don't get why he didn't just say "i heard this in a porno where can i find a full version"
He was probably ashamed to admit it.
@@GumSkyloard Was he like 12 or something? No adult should be ashamed to admit it. Almost every one watches porn.

This song was found in the most hilarious way possible 😭
8:06 You need to watch the movie again cause that wasn't Tanya Foxx in that scene, it was Stacey Donovan.
04:45 '...was he searching through his parents collection...'?
_Nah mate, he's just a connoisseur of the Bush._
😃
Makes sense. There's not a lot or oversight as far as crediting old smut flicks and a lot of composers don't actually want that kind of credit. Idk why people considered it a troll.

The Taboo series is legendary. I'm surprised it took this long
Havent watched any updates of the song waited for you to upload it 🙏
“Caught gooning in 4k” 😂😂😂
A lot of Disney stuff this year
I feel bad for Carl 92 because a bunch of random rumors of him or her are spreading.
I didn't even know adult films had plot lines like that! Heck, even the cinematography shown in the clips here surprised me! I'm not very familiar with the genre at all, so I never even realized there was stuff of that quality! Wow!
There are a metric butt ton of adult films with plots, especially ones made before the 2000s.
@@Blakbox92 Huh, neat! That makes me wish people took it more seriously as a genre, then. Its a shame its so stigmatized.
Remember when you had to pay for "Adult Entertainment" and ... grooming yourself completely was seen as pdfile behavior? Oh, how times have changed. 🤣
funniest ending to one of the biggest mysteries ever!!
Carl is one nasty guy lol!!!
And I'm happy for Chris Booth that their song is getting regconized with many people. Now we need a remaster of the song and that will be the true ending of the mystery
This was my most wanted piece of lost media ever since I first heard it. I'm glad it was found but with the background noise, I'm not sure how I feel about it.
Every lostwave song that’s found gives me hope for The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet. And yet, I just have to laugh at this one. Carl92, you naughty, naughty guy lol
Talk about getting caught with your pants down
Cool, now lets search for the works (1986)
We're so far into making 1984 a reality that he can't even voice the word "pornography" in the audio track of this video.
Um I HAVE THAT EXACT CD PLAYER. ITS A 2005. STILL WORKS SOMEHOW
Bro the song is actually better than i thought it hella slaps and is super good compared to the other "music" from the movie line it really stands out compared to the others like it doesn't even belong there.
That’s because it was written as a normal song and then they sold the rights, not knowing what it would be used for.
Anyone else think Tension Rising might also be from an adult film?
It's not too surprising, really. Another lost track, "Please Don't Stop", a theme song for an Israeli video company, ended up being taken from a pr0n of the same name.
I Found 11 Disney Tv Shows From (2000 - 2010) Unaired Pilots But The Original User Got Copyright From Disney So There's Some Disney Lost Media Have Been (Found) And Archived
Wait, so the guy who wanted it to be found in the first place is the one who ended up finding it?
They probably wanted to find the original without the moaning but didn’t wanna show the full audio because he would be caught watching porn(which isn’t that big of a deal man come on) so he only played a bit without it
He probably wanted to know the name of the song, but was so embarassed to say that he listened in the 🌽 that never said where it was.
Just wanted to say congrats to Carl, he didn't want that people from WhatZat Song knew what he watches, but now "Everyone Knows It..."
@@YorkieChannelYTif he HAD found it in the porn and he just came clean (no pun intended), this search would have been so much easier

I don't think we should bully the guy, but It's not cool that he abandoned the search just because he was ashamed of watching porn. If he had admitted it's origins in the first place, we could've saved so much time. We'd probably have a high quality version by now. I won't mock him for being a "gooner", but I will criticize him for sending the whole community in circles and giving false info.

BRAVO👏👏🤣
On god this is the funniest shit I’ve ever heard. I couldn’t have asked for a more memorable conclusion
I am absolutely not surprised at all that this turned out to be a Canadian production from the mid-'80s! That music had a real sound. Some of my desert island discs would be coming from that place and time.
Great vid. One minor correction though. The person you identified as Bryan Adams with Sweeney Todd is actually Nick Gilder.

Gooner92 ✅
Person - Hey Carl how did you get that clip?
Carl - At the Pornography store. I was buying Pornography.
You're a champ for watching it and giving us a plot rundown.
Now that we know this story, it gives me an idea. Maybe you could do a video on other lost media searches that had hilarious results? Kind of like how clockman turned out to be on youtube this whole time. It would be a really fun and interesting subject to cover.
it's so sad people are getting shamed for literally gooning nowadays, no wonder he burnt his every step to white ashes
I wouldn’t right away call Carl92 a Gooner, It’s possible that Carl92 got a disk/dvd that was in possession of family or friend that passed away or found it on a disk there parents had copied the movie on.
Its really funny to know how this discovery came to be, tho I do think it's sort of a shame that any previous discussion of EKT coming from adult films was shot down for being trolling... like adult films are just as media as anything else! who's to say how much of that material's been lost specifically out of this cultural shame of admitting to watching it? has me thinking abt what we deem as worthwhile lost media to find... EKT is a good song, but what about the other songs! would people have tried as hard for something they didnt think was good? lost media fascinates me bc of what we prioritize
Thank you for introducing me to this gem🔥Im so happy it got found
Now to find the most mysterious song in the world!
Probably impossible because the singers maybe gone after 40 Years
It's nice to finally have an answer! I never would've guessed that _this_ was the song's origin, though; it sounds so girly and adolescent to me (it reminds me of the Jem theme).
I have literally been on the edge of my seat waiting for this moment for years and it did not disappoint
To be openly fair:
I'm still trying to figure out a collection of tracks that I've only heard in 2 places:
- JMJ Productions videos (Railway video documentarian, likely deceased, sold everything on VHS, a couple videos available on UA-cam)
- Some old mid-80's porn
It needs to be stated: some of those porn soundtracks were actually pretty good.... once you got past the Macaroni & Cheese sounds.
