    Good day Sir
I have got a very complex loft that I am not able to solve.
It is the cowling of my airplane that I am trying to make it new style.
Would you be able to give me a help?
Of course I could forward the sketch and guide curves.
    It is very complex!
    Thanks
    Regards
    Gianluca

Would you be able to show how you would make a custom bicycle handlebar using a scanned image from clay imprints? I would like to make a carbon fiber handlebar with the finger indents.

    • @PJWZZ

Sure, I have written an entire SolidWorks tutorial about how to model a Chopper (including handlebars from a scanned image) in SolidWorks. Click here for more info: learnsolidworks.com/chopper

Sorry to bother you again >.< I build something that looks similar to your example, but solidworks will not allow the "normal to profile" command. Everything works out well except the smooth edge after I mirror the parts. Do you habe any idea what went wrong? (It says that the command will not work with this guide curve because it might be ambigouos or it doesn't work with the profiles. Sorry, my solidworks is german so I hope you will understand my gibberish :D

Hi Serafinelly, thanks for your message. I am not sure what went wrong. If you send your SW model to info@learnsolidworks.com I will take a look at your model and see what went wrong. Couple questions
    1. Can you convert from a surface to a solid?
    2. What does the normal to profile really do for us?
    3. When you used your guide curves, does the negate the three green dot issues from before?

    • @LearnSolidWorkscom
      @LearnSolidWorkscom 2 роки тому

1: Yes definitely! You can always make a solid from a surface modeling by “thickening” your surface model
      2. It adds a Tangecy relation. If you use the Normal To Profile side of the surface as a Mirror Plane, you will get a smooth transition on the mirror line
      3. Yes! :)
Make sure to check LearnSolidWorks.com for more surface modeling videos.
